Chapter 14

Oh joy! A new chapter? Yeah, I'm a sarcastic son of a gun. Anyways, I will now put titles like this:

A Switch in Place

This chapter is going to be long. No joke. At the time I'm writing this is October 3rd, 2021, hopefully those who read this in the future find this chapter to be interesting. The longest chapter I have written on Wattpad was about 1.7k it may seem small to other Authors, but to me, it is a big leap from the normal word count of 900-1,000 I do. I'm not counting these author notes.

He felt lost, he didn't know what to do. It's been a week since he revealed his secret. In fact, the Sea of Souls was eerily quiet. Only 3 Personas seemed to converse with him, the others not so much.

Orpheus, the Master of Strings, was currently holding him up. Thanatos, the Greek God of Death, guarded them. Messiah, The Redeemer of Man, had it's eyes closed yet it it was definitely studious.

Nana Shimura did not know how to approach. How could she approach the blue haired Fool? She knew that he told those in the outside world about his power and his journey.

And that lead up to now. She could comfort him...yet she didn't know how to comfort a boy who held all of his deepest emotions in for so long. She may not have a physical body, yet she'll do what she can to make the heartache he must be experiencing right now.

"Makoto. You know that you aren't alone in this world. Believe me, there are still people waiting for you. Friends who have your back, family that lends their ears to you, mentors who'll teach you the ways to be strong. If it becomes too much to bear, call upon those connected to your soul, they will never turn you away." She was arms reach, Thanatos let her past, Orpheus gently let Makoto go. Messiah opened his eyes.

"May you take over, Nana? Just for...a little while?" She was shocked to say the least. "Please?" He was showing her a sign of weakness.

"You'll only have access to Orpheus...or rather myself." He turned to Orpheus. "Take care of her, Orpheus."

[Break]

"Mm?" Nana Shimura stirred her eyes open, she could breathe, she could feel the fabric of soft pillows and a blanket. She was currently possessing his body, which changed into a female body that modified. Although, she wouldn't wanted to be called Makoto when she was 'out' in the world.

"Why not Nanako Yuki, Nana?" Orpheus sounded out in her head. "I don't mind...but is this supposed to happen?" She bit her lip. "With the universe, nothing is impossible." Makoto's voice rang. "I'll be...resting. Enjoy 2 days of freedom, Nanako."

She could hear him doze off.

Now how was she going to let his...errr, her parents know?

"Makoto! It's me Labyrs! I'm going to open the door, your mom wants to check up on youuuu!"

Her eyes became wide. Oh frick! What was she going to do?!

The door opened...

"Makoto-?! What?! Who are you?" Labyrs assumed into a fighting stance while Shiomi was questioning her.

"This...is going to take a while. Please sit down..."

In all of her previous life and the current one, this one takes the cake. She was living and breathing, but in a body that was quite not hers. So to explain to her 'mother' and Labyrs, was quite the conundrum.

"So you were Nana Shimura...and you ended up in Ma-kun's soul...which he gave you control of his body...yet there were changes once you took over...?" Shiomi slowly put her hands to her own cheeks. "Does this mean I have a daughter?!" She might be taking this better than expected.

"Please, do not call me Nana Shimura...it'll only complicate misunderstandings in the future. Orpheus named me, Nanako Yuki. To be quite frank with you, it does sound pleasant to me." Nanako voiced. "It's only temporary until...Makoto is fine."

Meanwhile Labyrs was staring at Nanako's busom. "And how the hell did you get those milkers?!" Yes, Labrys was self-conscious of her body.

"Don't ask me how! For all I know, it could've been from Makoto's memories of a redhead!" Nanako shielded her busom from the boisterous Android.

[Break]

After clearing up the situation, Nanako was forced to wear decent clothing, and it meant a trip to I-Island. Why? Because they needed to keep her a secret.

How would Japan react to seeing the past number one hero alive and well?

She needed to be careful. As a cover up, she'll pretend to be Makoto's long lost big sister, who'll take his place for the time being. It was swiftly accepted by the parents.

"Just remember to not attract any attention!" Shiomi was very clear how she wanted her to act. Silent, yet caring. Only talk if spoken to.

"I suggest that you get on board before the plane leaves." Orpheus's quiet voice tickled her mind. "Remember. Do not hesitate to call forth."

'I will.'

She wondered how Toshi was doing. The lad was scrawny when she first met him, quirkless, yet had the raging heart of a hero. But after seeing him in a state of weakness, it boggled her mind. Was this truly the same lad she met before? Reduced to this state? He was careless in situations that left him open. Perhaps that's why he isn't so...brash.

"Last call for passengers. I repeat, last call for passengers."

She grabbed her luggage and boarded the plane. This was going to be a long flight. She supposed she can try and trace the remnants of OFA.

She felt a spark, a small one, but still a spark. It glittered and kept shining.

"The quirk you wielded from the past? Hm...it isn't full so to say. It seems that it's merely a flicker of the real thing. It could still be of use, train with it when we approach the Island."

[Break]

Midoriya Izuku and Toshinori Yagi had arrived at I-Island. An artificial island that had one of the best institutes for technology and support items for heros.

"Uncle All-Might!" A blonde spectacled girl had ran towards them and jumped, whilst Toshinori transformed into All-Might, catching the blonde. "Melissa! It's great to see you again, how are you?"

"I'm doing great! Papa couldn't meet you at the time so he sent me!" Melissa was then put on the ground. "Ah, is this a hero in training I believe?" Midoriya Izuku couldn't speak to girls properly. "Ah yes...I am a hero in training. Pleased to meet you!"

"Ne, Ne, why don't I show Midoriya-kun around while you go visit Papa?" Melissa was excited!

"That should be fine, have a good time Midoriya, Melissa."

"David isn't going to like this..." He whispered to himself. "...My time is only 3 hours a day..."

It was getting grim, he couldn't keep his muscle form up long enough. He oftenly took breaks, yet it was beginning to be quite taxing on him. The knowing if someone out there is suffering, it pained him. If only he hadn't made a mistake.

1,200+ words. My god. I wanted to make this chapter longer but oh well. I suck at making promises.

I hope you enjoyed this somber/kind of funny chapter. Till next time. Bye.

Baka.
