Part 18

Yoongi POV~

I sprinted through the streets, as the sirens got louder behind me. They wailed loudly, making my ears ring slightly. I turned and ran down the alley way, stopping behind a garbage bin to catch my breath. I leaned on the building that was to my back and closed my eyes as I panted heavily.

Soon the night got still again as the wailing sirens went quiet, giving me the signal to head back into the darkness of the empty city.

My walk was quiet. The police sirens were no longer wailing, trying to find me. I wandered the streets quietly, the wind beginning to pick up a little more. Goosebumps spread across my skin.

The night was once again still, like the sirens had never even come out. I kept my hands in my pockets as I continued to walk down the street, looking around occasionally, still wary of the cops.

I couldn't care less if I got caught, I wouldn't  get any serious charges. I'm not afraid of getting arrested either, cops aren't intimidating.

I let out a small sigh and looked down at the sidewalk as I walked quietly.

It was getting colder, goosebumps spread across my skin. I let out a sigh before looking back down at the sidewalk as I continued to walk back home.

My heart stopped when I heard sirens out of no where. I looked behind me quickly, the lights of a police car flashing in the distance down the street. I started to sprint down the street once again, loud exploding popping sounds came from behind me. I blocked the back of my head as I ran down the street, then into an alley way.

The sound of tires screeching to a halt, hurt my ears and gave me goosebumps across my body. I ran down the alley and came to a stop. There wasn't anywhere to go, I looked around frantically looking for a way to escape or anything to help me. A spark hope rose inside me when I seen a door to the building on the right of me. I went over to the door and turned the knob, it was locked. I cursed to myself and started to ram my body into the door, the pain filled my shoulder but I didn't care.

I fell to the ground once the door finally gave in. I scrambled into the building quickly, slamming the door behind me and blocking it with a large trash bin. I looked around the building before running up a set of stairs, leading me into another large empty room that had no furniture and broken windows. I ran quickly across the room and pushed myself into the room behind the door, slamming it shut behind me before continuing to run.

Running down a set of stairs, before running out of the building. I continued to sprint quickly down the street, panting heavily. I winced lightly when I felt the pain in my side, but I didn't let it stop me. I continued to run down the street, before hiding in an alley way once again. I leaned on the building and slowly slid down onto the floor, before I touched my side. It was warm and moist, I turned to my side and looked at it. Almost my entire left side of my shirt was soaked in my own blood.  I let out a heavy sigh and leaned my head back onto the building.

"Shit.." I mumbled to myself and closed my eyes. I didn't even feel any of the pain that came along with a gunshot wound. I held my side as I felt it continue to leak blood out of my body. My breathing got slower and heavier, but I didn't feel like I was going to die.

My breathing slowed down as my heart beat slowed as well, resuming to his normal pace. I started to stand up from my sitting position, using the wall as support; leaving behind a bloody hand print on the building along with a blood puddle on the ground in front of it. I held my side as I stumbled out of the alley way. I looked in both directions and made sure the coast was clear before I started to walk down the street, still stumbling.

I pushed my front door open with my foot before walking inside. I let out a grunt as I pushed the door shut behind me, before heading to the bathroom. I ripped off my jacket and shirt on my way to the bathroom, pressing my shirt to my wound as I walked into the bathroom.

I sat down slowly onto the floor in front of the tub, groaning lightly as I gritted my teeth and closed my eyes tightly. I let out a heavy sigh and leaned my head back looked up at the ceiling.

So this is how I die..
