Prologue
~Three Years Ago~
It was a normal day for the little girl named Jade. At least, she thought it was going to be. Monday morning, get up, get ready for school, eat breakfast with her dad, then he'd drop her off for school and head to work.
She should've known something was up the instant she didn't hear him greet her when she bounced down the stairs, but she was far too excited to notice. Today they were going to study a real-live Mythical Pokémon in class, provided by the region's Pokémon League Champion! So how couldn't she be excited?
"Good morning dad!" she chirped as she walked into the kitchen, oblivious to the horrible accident that happened only moments before she woke up.
Instead of getting a reply from him, she was greeted by a not-so-happy group of police officers, which scared her. A lot. Her father had always said that when the police were involved, nothing good was going on. But what was going on she wondered?
Upon further viewing of the kitchen, there was a large pool of blood in one corner; the corner nearest to the living room where the man did most of his work at. Near the blood, there was a large bag that was terrifyingly close to the size of her dad, members of the CSU taking measurements and marking specific spots in the rooms with numbers.
Then there was the door. That's where most of the officers were located. That's also where the Pokémon Jade and her father had lived with for as long as she remembered was. In a cage, staring at her with piercing red eyes and blood stained lips. The little girl still couldn't remember what species it was, or exactly what it looked like, because in this moment of fear, she forgot everything.
She forgot all of the moments the tiny family of three, Jade her father and their Pokémon, shared together. She forgot the camping, fishing, and hiking trips they went on together. She even forgot the last name that they all shared.
And then she was snapped back into focus and was being guided out the door by a young female officer with a badge that indicated she was a member of the International Police. Well, the badge and the fact that she wasn't wearing a regular police uniform; only a suit.
"Alright sweetheart, we'll get you somewhere safe," the lady spoke soothingly. She was assisted by a Lucario, while the rest of her team were helping with the investigation. "Can you tell me your name?"
Welcome everyone, to this feels trip of a story so far! I was getting a bit teary-eyed myself, honestly.
So, I may have slipped one of my other OCs in here, but I'm not sure if anyone who's been in a roleplay with her are reading this. But if you are, you would obviously know who that Interpol officer with the Lucario is, right?
Let me know if she should play a bigger role later in the story or not. I love to hear your opinions!
But anyway, it's almost 1:30 in the morning and I should sleep so I'm rested to work on this tomorrow!
Until next chapter, see ya! 👐
