((This Part is Leanna telling Zephyr what happened to her mother 11 years ago it might be a little sad))

11 Years Ago- Christmas Eve

It was Christmas time at the Hawkins Manor the house was decorated beautifully while in the main lounge a huge christmas tree was sparkling like a diamond with all its decorations. Leanna giggled eyeing her presents under the tree while Dani did the same. "girls,  you dont get your presents yet" their mother Serena mused "aww but mother i cant wait anymore i need to know what i got" A 7 year old Leanna complained, Serena looked at her husband who nodded finally giving up "alright you may all open your presents" she said her voice warm as silk "YAY!" Dani and Leanna exclaimed and they dove into the presents making their parents laugh 11 year old Johnathan and Michael watched as their sisters opened their gifts. Dani got several stuffed animals and a few rare children's storybooks, Leanna had received a locket with her mother and fathers picture in it as well as a crystal musical merry go round that played her favorite tune "the butterfly waltz".

Johnathan and Michael got a few mythical creature books for their viewing pleasures and the Family Cross. Arthur always wanted a globe so Serena gave one to him for christmas for when he teached at the Falmore Academy while Serena got the beautiful Star Diamond that was hidden away in the family vault. Everyone in the Hawkins family appreciated their gifts. Nighttime fell quickly and each one went to sleep Dani and Leanna each shared a bedroom since the dark scared Dani to death. Around 2 in the morning, Leanna was woken up by a red glow coming from outside. Her father barged into the room with a gleaming sword "Leanna, wake Dani up now we have to get away from here" he left the room  and she quickly got out of bed and shook Dani awake "Dani! wake up" she stirred and looked outside to see the glow too, she got up quickly grabbing her new storybooks while Leanna grabbed the Merry go round and the locket.

They ran down the hall and down the stairs when the mob for thats what it was broke down the door, the invaders piling into the house like water. Leanna and Dani were about to get attacked when their father slashed open the attacker allowing them to get away. Leanna heard her mother scream and ran towards the kitchen. She told Dani to stay in a safe place then Leanna walked along to see her mother with a man. The man's mouth was on Serena's neck as something wet was dripping something red. Leanna knew from an instant what the mob was. They were vampires and this one looked like the leader. After Grabbing a knife from the drawer quietly, she snuck behind the man and stabbed him where his heart would be. The vampire turned to dust immediately and Serena fell to the floor blood staining the floor red.

Leanna moved towards her mother, the white nightgown she was wearing was now bloodstained "Leanna, protect Dani from all evil please you must do this for me" she whispered to her daughter "mother, please i dont know what id do without you dont go" Leanna pleaded with her tears filling her eyes "i have to go please take care of Dani she needs you now" "i will mother ill take care of her ill protect her" Leanna sobbed, Serena took off the Star Diamond and handed it to Leanna "here, so you'll always remember me" Leanna took the necklace and watched as her mother died. Leanna screamed and cried causing their father to come and see what happened only to find his beloved wife dead with his daughter crying beside her body. Arthur went over and grabbed Leanna, Dani following behind crying as well. Each one of the Hawkins got on horses Leanna took Dani on Comet and they rode away from the mansion as it burned up in flames killing all the vampires they had trapped inside.

After hearing the news of Serena's death, The Council offered the slayer positions to them again which Arthur agreed. Arthur had to take retraining while Johnathan, Michael, Dani and Leanna were put into young slayer courses to be trained into the Arts of Slaying. Leanna's heart had turned hard as ice the death of her mother and her vengence on the monsters like the ones who killed Serena kept her going through the harsh training
