Bad company, corrupts good character  Our surroundings impact us in ways that can cause injury to ourselves and others. God gives us clarity and direction we tend to gravitate towards people that are kin to us, the world is controlled by sin, lust, and atrocities being partakers of darkness, will blind you from the presence of God.

Light exposes the truth, turning away from sin through repentance bring us into an agreement with God. Allowing God to cleanse us from all unrighteousness giving us a new life in Christ Jesus, will bring revelation, transformation, a deeper understanding of biblical truth as Christians, we can not become unequally yoked with unbelievers, and people that do not possess the values or principles that promote good character.

When we shine our light others are inspired to change, to evolve to a new way of doing and being, a bad association can lead you to practice the old ways that kept you in bondage carrying heavy burdens of guilt and shame.

 Bondage prevents the power of God from working in your life, You are not free to worship him in the way that he deserves, instead, you live a life of pain and stress. being mindful of your surroundings, and separating yourself from darkness will prolong your life, as new creations of God, We are his ambassadors, we are to leave those things that are behind us, and  to move forward toward a higher calling that we have been called, we are To be a light to others that live in darkness, and do not realize that they are lost.

We are the salt of the earth, we are to give substance and meaning to our lives, living a holy life as the righteousness of God.
