Woah
"Woah...this place is creepy..." Illusion whispered, running his hands along the walls of the crumbling castle.
His little sister clung to him like the dust to the floor, "Illusion, it's scary in here!"
"Don't be such a little kid!" Ada exclaimed, kicking a rock.
"We really should be careful..." Danny said, grabbing his twin's arm.
Ada rolled her deep red eyes, "C'mon Danny! Don't be such a baby!"
Danny frowned and blew a stray strand of blue hair from his face, "It's not like I'm scared...but this place looks really old."
Raven stuck close to Illusion. She pushed her glasses back up her face, "This place was built to last..." she said, running her hand across a pillar, "Whoever built this clearly thought it was going to stick around."
"Have you read anything about a castle like this, Rae?" Illusion asked.
Raven blushed, "Um...no..." she shook away the heat in her face, "It's not like anything Daddy has in his library."
Suddenly, the group heard sniffling and crying from another room. Danny hid behind his sister, and Raven and Juniper clung to Illusion.
"It sounds like a little kid..." Illusion muttered, walking towards the noise. Juniper and Raven instead began clinging to Ada.
"You idiot!" Ada hissed, "What the hell are you doing?"
Illusion turned and gave Ada a frown, "Checking it out? Duh."
As Illusion walked into the room, the four other children grew silent.
His eyes adjusting to the newfound darkness of the room, Illusion took in his surroundings.
It was clearly a child's room, with scattered toys laying around. There was a basket ball hoop, a train set, and a skateboard ramp. The room was so elaborately decorated, yet it was incredibly haunting.
Illusion found a small child crying in the middle of the room, hugging their knees to their chest.
"Hey..." Illusion said in the most soothing voice he could muster.
The child whipped their head up at him, their deep green eyes piercing Illusion's soul.
"Are you here to help me find her?" They asked.
"Her? Like...your mom?" Illusion asked.
"Are you going to help me find her?" They asked.
"Find who?"
"My her!" The child shouted, standing up.
"Um...Yeah. I'll help you find your...her."
The child smiled and wiped their tears away, "T-Thank you!"
The child ran up and took Illusion's hand. Illusion led the child out of the dark, dusty room and into the main halls, where his friends and sister waited.
"A child?" Danny asked.
"He is going to help me find my her!" The child exclaimed, pointing to Illusion with their free hand.
"Aw he's kinda cute..." Ada swooned.
"He kinda looks like-" Juniper began, but a loud scream was heard through the halls.
"W-What was that?" Danny asked, shaking.
Now even Ada was shaken, "W-We should get out of here."
Illusion nodded, "Yeah let's go."
As the group went to walk out the way they came in, the child started screaming, "No! My her! She is here! We have to find her!"
Illusion grimaced and turned to his friends, "You all go! I'll take care of them."
His friends nodded.
"Wait!" The child screamed. They pointed at Illusion sister, "Her too."
Danny, Raven, and Ada didn't hesitate as they ran away. Juniper took her brother's free hand, shaking.
"Up there." The child said, pointing to a staircase.
Taking a shaky breath, Illusion led the two young children up the staircase into a much larger hallway. Tattered faded flags adorned the walls.
The strange child released himself from Illusion's grasp and ran off.
"Hey wait!" Illusion protested.
The child ran out of sight.
"Let's go big brother...I don't like this place..." Juniper said, tears falling from her face.
"Yeah...Yeah okay..."
Another scream was heard.
"It came from there." Illusion said, pointing to a doorway in the middle of the flags.
The two siblings entered the room to find a teenage girl on the floor sobbing. She wasn't facing them, but she had tied up brown hair, and was wearing a pink baseball cap.
Juniper gripped her brother's hand, "H-Hello?"
The girl stopped crying and turned around.
Illusion and Juniper gasped, "M-Mom?" Illusion asked.
The girl looked confused, "You...You look like him..." She sniffled.
The siblings suddenly felt someone behind them, and the teenage girls face turned into the purest form of shock and relief they had ever seen.
"N..." she gasped.
Illusion and Juniper moved out of the way as a slim, tall man ran into the arms of the girl on the floor.
"Hilda!" He sobbed.
"Mom and Dad?" Illusion wondered.
"What the hell are you two doing here?!" A voice hissed.
All occupants of the room turned towards the entrance to find a much older Hilda and N in the doorway.
"M-Mom! We can explain!" Illusion exclaimed.
Hilda glared at her son, "Your friends already explained."
N shook his head, "You two." He said, pointing to the younger versions of him and his wife, "Drop the illusions, will you?"
The younger couple's human looks faded and they were replaced by a Zoroark and Zorua.
"That's Auntie Rosa's Zorua!" Juniper gasped, "Daddy! That's your Zoroark."
N nodded, "Why did you two convince them to look for this place?"
"We just thought they deserved to know the truth, N" Zoroark said.
Zorua nodded its head, "They deserve at least a little!"
"They are not ready!" N protested.
"Ready for what?" Illusion asked, "What's going on? What is this place? Why was Mom crying? Why were you crying? Why were you so young? I'm so confused!"
"I'm still young..." Hilda muttered, crossing her arms.
Zoroark rolled its eyes.
"I saw that!"
"My queen, please contain yourself." N said.
"Mommy? Daddy?" Juniper sniffled, "I'm scared...What's happening?"
Guilt corroding their faces, Hilda and N looked at the terrified faces of their children. Zoroark crosses its arms and Zorua gave the couple a dirty look.
Hilda gritted her teeth, "It's not your concern. Don't worry about it."
"Hilda, my love, we have to tell them." N said.
"Why? Because Zoroark and Zorua made them cry? No one but them and Zekrom and Reshiram know! Why do we have to tell other people?"
"They are our children." N argued.
After a long pause, Hilda finally sighed, "Okay...But let's get outta here. I hate this wretched place."
N nodded, "Let us go. You two always wanted to know the story of your mother and I? Well, get ready to hear it."
