"Where are we going, Flower Boy?" Moon asked as Gladion dragged her through MeleMele Meadow.

"Stop complaining." He grunted, leading her through Seaward cave to Kala'e bay.

As they exited the cave and stepped onto the sand of the bay, the pair found a Lapras waiting for them.

"Did you plan this or something?" Moon asked, walking to the Lapras and stroking its muzzle. Lapras sang in content.

"Mhmm." Gladion hummed, climbing onto the Pokémon's back. He offered Moon his hand, "C'mon."

"What are you planning, Flower boy?" Moon asked suspiciously, taking her friend's hand. Gladion pulled her up onto the Lapras' back.

The Lapras swam out into the bay. Sea water splashed onto Moon's legs. Finally, Lapras stopped swimming right in the center of the bay.

Moon waited for an explanation from her friend, but he gave none.

"What's your plan exactly?" Moon asked.

"Well my plan is to take you on a date." Gladion said, staring at the water intently.

Moon blushed. She didn't know he was planning a date! She just figured he wanted to hang out as buds. Not that she had a problem with it being a date...she actually preferred that over hanging out as friends.

"Watch the water." Gladion commanded.

Moon nodded and focused her attention on the ocean.

Before she knew it, the water began glowing a bright teal color. Lumineon and Finneon swam in the water, their fins sparkling their bright green colors.

"Wow!" Moon gasped, "What's happening with their fins?"

Gladion smiled at his friend, "The Finneon and Lumineon absorb sunlight during the day. So, at night their fins sparkle and glow, lighting up the water."

"Wow..." Moon sighed, leaning towards the water. Even Lapras seemed entranced with the glow of the water Pokémon and put its head under the water to get a better look.

Some of the Pokémon began circling the Lapras, and one Lumineon even greeted the champion and her friend.

"They're so beautiful..." Moon sighed, reaching into the water to pet the Lumineon. Satisfied with the attention, the Lumineon swam back to its friends, following them deeper into the bay.

Lapras' head shot out of the water, splashing the two trainers on its back. Moon giggled.

Moon, Gladion, and Lapras all watched as the Pokémon and their teal glow faded into the bay as they went to enter the ocean. The wave's green colors were replaced by the silver light of the moon.

"That was beautiful!" Moon chirped, turning to Gladion, "Thank you for showing me that, Flower Boy..." she said, giving Gladion a smile.

Gladion chuckled, "No problem..." he said, leaning into Moon.

Moon's heart jumped as Gladion's face grew closer to hers. He placed a short, soft kiss on her lips, cupping her face with his hand. As he pulled away, he rubbed their noses together.

Gladion smirked at Moon's deep red face, "You look nice in red." He teased.

"Shut up..." Moon muttered.

Gladion leaned in again, this time, his lips hovering over Moon's, "Make me..." he challenged.

With a smirk, Moon pushed Gladion off Lapras' back and into the water. She laughed uncontrollably as Gladion burst back through the surface of the water. He scowled at her.

Moon giggled and held a hand out to Gladion, "Sorry Gladion, but that was just too perfect!"

Gladion took Moon's hand and smirked. Before she could let go, Gladion pulled Moon into the water.

Moon splashed Gladion with water, "Rude!"

Gladion splashed her back, "You're rude!"

Lapras decided to join, splashing both the trainers with a wave of water. Once the wave of water finished going over their heads, Moon and Gladion laughed, splashing Lapras as well. They climbed onto Lapras' back, their laughs echoing into the night.

Just then, a Luvdisc burst out of the water, showing off its bright pink colors in the moonlight.
