The news of Silver's promotion rang in his ears. He gripped his steering wheel, excited to get home to tell his wife. Probably his daughter too, but she was far too young to understand the concept of anything other than attempting to form sentences. She would most likely be sleeping, however.

Silver pulled into his driveway, got out of his car, and slammed the door shut. He rushed inside and searched for his wife. He found her in the living room watching tv.

Silver's wife looked up at him and beamed.

"Hi Silvey!" She chirped, standing up and giving her husband a kiss.

Silver looked down at his wife with a smile.

Lyra frowned, "Uh...you okay?"

"Never better!" Silver chirped, "Guess who made detective?"

Lyra's jaw dropped, "You made detective?"

"Yep! Missing persons!"

"So...you're done being in the line of fire?" Lyra asked hopefully.

Silver frowned, "No. Not really."

Lyra frowned, "Oh..."

"But this is good!" Silver said, noticing his wife's distress, "I know a thing or two about people going off the radar."

Lyra sighed, "I'm happy for you Silvey. Just worried."

Silver kissed Lyra's forehead, "I'll be fine."

Lyra nodded.

"Doubtful I'd get any big cases right off the bat anyway...first day as a cop I was on parking duty..."

Lyra giggled, "You came home so sour that day!"

"You would too if you graduated top of your class and were immediately placed on parking duty."

Lyra chuckled, "Can't relate."

"Well we can't all be Champion for over ten years."

"I'm starting to think I'll be there forever!" Lyra groaned, "I love my job but really!"

Silver rolled his eyes. He smirked, wrapped his arms around Lyra's waist and pulled her close, "So...wanna celebrate?"
