Recycled idea
(A/N. Oops I accidentally fell in love with this song and thought of Moon and Gladion for some reason? So anyways it's poorly written and executed but give me validation I am desperate for it. Jk jk. Kind of lol. Anyways, hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed listening to the song for two hours!)
"You've got a lovely voice, Gladi," Moon said, patting one of the Igglybuff on the head, "Er...I mean...sir." She said nervously.
Gladion frowned and bent down on one knee to be at level with another one of the Igglybuff, "Open," he told it. The Igglybuff opened its mouth and stuck out its tongue. It sang a short note before Gladion dismissed it. Another floated over to him and did the same.
"Moon, just because you work for me now doesn't mean you have to call me 'sir'," Gladion said, "In fact, it's really weird."
"Okay!" Moon squeaked, blushing.
"And just because I used to sing to the baby Pokémon when we were kids doesn't mean I'm going to do it now." The blond said, stopping one of the Igglybuff before it floated off. He took his hand, wiped a smudge from its face, and sent it off.
"But why not? I'm sure they'd love it!" Moon ushered.
"Well I wouldn't," Gladion said, standing up, "Find the Cliffs and the Popplio and we'll have your Primarina warm up with them all."
With a sigh, Moon went off to fetch the rest of the baby Pokémon. After Gladion checked all of their throats and vocal chords, Moon sent out her Primarina. The baby Pokémon paid close attention to whatever Primarina was telling them, only singing at Primarina's command.
After a while, Primarina began singing a song that Moon has been listening to and singing all week long. Moon instantly recognized it and lit up.
"Oh! Let me sing it with you too, Prim!" Moon chirped.
Primarina scowled but nodded, probably upset she had to start the song all over.
Before they began, Moon said to Gladion, "You're welcome to join in any time, Gladion!"
Gladion was busy tending to the baby Pokémon's mothers, who were close by, "Mhmm..." he hummed distractedly.
After rolling her eyes, Moon and her partner began the song, "I promise that you'll never find another like me!~"
Gladion recognized the song and groaned. He loved Panic!, but didn't care much for Taylor Swift. Though he made an exception for this song. Ever since Moon had showed it to him, Gladion was hooked on the song.
"I know that I'm a handful baby, uh. I know I never think before I jump," Moon sang along with her partner, "And you're the kind of guy the ladies want." Moon caught Gladion looking over at her and winked, "And there's a lot of cool chicks out there."
Gladion rolled his eyes and set down his clipboard and paperwork. One of the Wigglytuff picked it up and followed Gladion as he strolled back over to Moon.
"I know that I went psycho on the phone. I never leave well enough alone, and trouble's gonna follow where I go," she sang, spinning around, "And there's a lot of cool chicks out there."
"But one of these things is not like the others- like a rainbow with all of the colors," Moon strolled up to Gladion and booped his nose, "Baby doll, when it comes to a lover, I promise that you'll never find another like..."
In perfect harmony, Moon and her partner belted out the chorus, dancing along to it, "Me-eh-eh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh!"
Moon danced back over to her partner and the baby Pokémon, "I'm the only one of me. Baby, that's the fun of me," The Igglybuff began floating and dancing with Moon. One took Moon's hands and Moon spun them around, "Eh-eh-eh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh!"
Moon stopped spinning her and the Pokémon and pet the Pokémon on the head, "You're the only one of you! Baby, that's the fun of you!"
Releasing the Igglybuff, Moon turned and offered Gladion her hand, "And I promise that nobody's gonna love you like me-eh-eh!"
Each Pokémon waited with bated breath, wondering if Gladion was going to join the song. The older Pokémon encouraged him to do so, not having heard his voice in years- since they were babies.
Seeing all the Baby Doll Eyes on him, Gladion sighed and gave in, "I know I tend to make it about me..." he sang.
Moon burst into a giant smile, as did all the Pokémon who cheered with glee.
Gladion took Moon's hand and pulled her closer, "I know you never get just what you see, but I will never bore you, ba-a-by," he continued, releasing Moon and walking over to Primarina, who was keeping the beat, "And there's a lot of lame guys out there."
Moon smiled and pat one of the Clefariy on the head, "And when we had that fight out in the rain, you ran after me and called my name." she sang.
Gladion chuckled slightly as a Jigglypuff, snuggled his face, "I never want to see you walk away. And there's a lot of lame guys out there."
As if they'd rehearsed it a million times, Moon and Gladion sang in perfect sync, "'Cause one of these things is not like the others. Living in winter, I am your summer. Baby doll, when it comes to a lover-"
For a brief moment, Gladion sung on his own, "I promise that you'll never find another like..."
"Me-eh-eh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh." The two trainers sang together.
Gladion broke off and sang on his own, "I'm the only one of me," he sang. He put his left arm behind his back, bowed slightly, and offered Moon his right hand, "Let me keep you company."
Moon took Gladion's hand as she and Primarina sang, "Eh-eh-eh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh."
Gladion pulled Moon to him, "You're the only one of you- baby, that's the fun of you!"
Together the pair executed their harmony, "And I promise that nobody's gonna love you like me-eh-eh!"
Gladion pat Primarina on the side, "That's enough, now," he said, "I think they get the idea."
Moon seemed to be the only one disappointed by the sudden stop of music. Gladion pulled away from Moon as the older and baby Pokémon alone surrounded him. The older Pokémon cried, not having heard their close friend sung in years. The baby Pokémon chirped, sang, and attempted to recreate Gladion's vocals.
Moon frowned, "It was just getting good!" She whispered to her partner. Primarina just giggled and pat her trainer's head.
Finally, the Wigglytuff holding Gladion's things handed them back to him. He gave a quiet "thank you" to the Pokémon and found his way to Moon.
"We have lots of other Pokémon to check on in the next hour," he said, suddenly very business like, "Let's be off."
Gladion began walking away, scribbling something on one of the many papers in his possession.
Moon sighed, returned her partner to her Pokéball, and ran after Gladion, leaving the Pokémon to themselves to sing their day away.
