Lillie nervously tapped the table in front of her, awaiting her friend. Today was the day she was going to tell her. Gladion was hanging out with Sun, so there would be no interruptions from Gladion. Hau was already aware of the situation and was staying away. Nothing was going to stop Lillie from telling her.

Finally, the person Lillie had been awaiting sat across from her. She seemed a bit frantic.

"Sorry I'm late Lillie!" She said, "Work's been crazy lately! You know how it is!"

Lillie chuckled, "It's alright, Moon."

Moon took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

"So, what's up?" She asked the blonde.

Lillie blushed and folded her hands together, "Well..." she looked down at her hands, "There's no easy way to tell you this..."

Moon frowned, "Tell me what?"

"You know you're my best friend, right?" Lillie asked, looking up at Moon.

"Duh! We've been friends since we were little!" Moon chuckled.

"W-Well what you might not know is..." Lillie trailed off.

"Lillie...you can tell me," Moon said smoothly, "You can tell me anything!"

Lillie blushes profusely and spat out her confession, "I love you, Moon!"

Silence hung between the two girls, the only sound the background noise of the malasada shop.

Moon smiled softly, "I know." She said.

Lillie blinked in surprise, "Y-You know?"

"You kissed me right before you went off to Kanto..."

"That was six years ago! How could you know that I still like you?"

Moon giggled, "You make it so obvious!"

Lillie blushes and looked down at her hands. Her body was shaking violently, her admittance of feelings still ringing in her ears.

Moon placed her hand over Lillie's folded ones. The blonde flinched and whipped her head up.

"Lillie, I love you too," Moon said, "But...not in the same way..."

Lillie sighed, "I figured as much..."

Silence once again followed.

Moon smiled, "I'm glad you told me, Lillie. I can only imagine how difficult it was..."

Lillie blushed once more, "Yeah...You still wanna be friends, right?" She asked.

"Of course! Now c'mon! Let's go shopping while we're in town!"

"But don't you wanna eat?"

"Honestly, I'm not that hungry!" Moon chirped, getting up and rushing towards the door.

Lillie rolled her eyes and followed her friend out, hoping Sun was having better luck than her.
