Rudy's POV

When I awoke I saw myself on the side of the crosswalk I had been on before the truck. I heard the sound of sirens in the distance and people were crowding around something on the street.

I began to make my way over but I was barreled over by another person. I slowly pushed myself to my paws again, my bell jiggling every time I turned my head to watch more people run by.

Wait a second... why am I still Rudy? And wait what are they looking at? I wondered and I ran up to the crowd, I couldn't push through so I latched my claws onto someone's backpack and pulled myself up.

I stood on the backpack, getting up to my hind legs I rested my front paws on the person's back and looked over their shoulder.

No... AMY! "Nyaaaah!" I cried, and the guy I was standing on turned to look at me, but I hardly cared.

Laying there, face up was Amy. Her limbs were sprawled on the ground. Her eyes were shut, and her hair was covering most of her face.

"Get outta here cat!" The guy barked and I quickly leaped off him, tears in my eyes. Nonononono! Amy's dead! I cyan't let thyat hyappen! I thought as I ran with my tiny legs.

I dashed down the street. I wove through foot traffic until I stopped, I was at a park in the shape of a triangle. There were little kids playing everywhere, one of them noticed me and ran over against their parents protests.

I slowly began backing away but I tripped and fell down, the child began petting my head.

"Hi kitty!" The child's voice said.

"Katie! Don't touch that cat, it might have rabies!" One of the parents told their child, and the child stood up.

She had her hair in a ponytail, it was a light shade of brown. She had a pink bow holding together ponytail.

Her eyes were black, which was the same color as her shoes. Her long socks were grey, she had blue shorts on and a white sweater with light blue in the center, around the color, and at the wrists.

Wait a second, thyat's Kyatie, Nyate's friend! So maybe Nyate is around here somewhere too! I realized, and I got up and ran off from the small child.

I turned the corner and bolted down the street of Springdale. Right where I thought Nate's house was. I was wrong.

I had never been good with directions but this was just embarrassing. I had gone down the alleyway behind the Everymart.

Yo-Kai are nyormally lurking around here. So I wonder if I'm syafe since I'm a cat. I thought as I ventured down the ally.

Suddenly I heard a crash and turned my head to a trash can. There was something behind that, I could tell that much.

"Is anyone there?" I called, cautiously approaching the trash can. Suddenly a dog, a bulldog jumped out from behind the trash can. There was an agitated look on its face.

Quickly I scampered off, I could hear the footsteps of the dog behind me as I dashed out of the alley. I took a hard right and then another. I turned left at the school running across the bridge for my life.

I could still hear the dog and it was gaining on me too. I saw a small building and an old lady standing in front of it, she gasped when she saw me being chased by the dog. I figured she was be my best bet for escaping the dog's wrath so I made my way over to her.

She scooped me up as soon as I was in range and ran into the building, closing the door behind her.

I marveled at the small shop, there was all types of candies stocked in the room.

There was that be table in the middle of the square room that had giant lollipops and other assorted sweets. To the left of the entrance was a square table and a few red chairs.

To the right of the entrance and the entire right wall was shelved full of candies and drinks.

The north of the room had a counter with a few more sweets on the shelves underneath the counter. There was a small room off to the side of the counter but I couldn't see what was in there.

One very important thing caught my nose, choco bars! I thought, jumping from the elderly woman's arms. I began following my nose to the chocolate.

"Well aren't you a cute one?" She mused and I turned my head toner a better look at her.

She had grey hair pulled into a bun. Her face was wrinkly and old but she had a big smile on it. She was wearing a long white dress that went down to her feet.

"Nyah?" I asked but she just chuckled slightly.

"Do you have a home little kitty?" The lady asked, I thought for a moment. Amy's parents were kinda nice, but I didn't think they'd want me without Amy around. So I shook my head.

"Oh, well then little one how about you stay here? I could use the company!" She offered, and I nodded. A nice lady and choco bars, how could I say no?!

"Oh that's wonderful!" Her smile grew even wider, "now you must be hungry. I'll see what I can fetch for you." She shuffled off and I followed but I stopped.

Wait... I cyan't do this! Amy's gone and I cyan't let thyat hyappen! I hyave to become a Yo-Kai and syave her. I have to become Jibanyan.

As soon as I thought that I suddenly felt very tired and passed out on the ground, although I didn't feel like I was drifting out of consciousness, just into another conscious....
