HOW I DO MY PROFILE PICTURES

╰⋯➤ a simple way to make the ring border on picsart

╰⋯➤ the way i usually do it on ibis

╰⋯➤ how to design the ring border (also ibis) as well as add a shadow

FOREWORD !

picsart probably has a few premade ones you can take from the sticker section but don't take my word for it. just remember to make sure they are premade centered already

this will be divided into 2 parts:

1. the quick picsart way for simple borders and

2. the way i normally do mine on ibis

PICSART !

• minus the stickers tool, i think there are two ways of doing this so lemme just—

[ METHOD ONE — BORDER TOOL ]

• make sure your photo is already cropped to a square

• click on the border tool

• set the radius to 100 and adjust the outer and inner slides according to how thick you want the rings to be. you can also change the color

• so here is one for example (yes i like geto a lot shh); the setting and the outcome when you put it as a pfp

• adjust the sliders and colors to however you want!

[ METHOD TWO — SHAPE MASK TOOL ]

• make sure your photo is already cropped to a square and click on the shape mask tool

• you can mess with the opacity and as you can also see, many different designs

• i personally haven't used it tho so go wild

IBISPAINT !

• open up a square canvas. doesn't matter the size but i'd probably recommend at or more than 750 x 750

• import what you want as your pfp and edit, color, and crop it to however you want it to look

• go to rulers at the top right corner and select the circle tool, so now whatever you draw will be in a perfect circle. don't move the circle ruler tho, bc it should already be positioned at the center of your canvas

• now ADD A NEW LAYER ON TOP OF YOUR PHOTO and draw your ring IN ONE PEN STROKE to however you want it

• now using alpha lock layers and clipping mask layers, you can p much design the rings however you want

• like hey, what if i wanna add this thing on top?

• no worries! just set the layer to clipping

• and there we go!

• another thing i like to do is add a shadow to the ring. and to do that you just make a new layer (right about the art/below all the rings) and put the circular ruler back on. then select the airbrush brush tool and circle accordingly

• and you're done!

• sorry this one doesn't look that great i didn't have any other ideas for the ring border LOL
