O n e | Annihilate ✕ the ✕ Witches

Alyssa's POV.

I walked through the crowd in the city as it was filled with people crossing lanes with each other, merely passing by through the days.

For starters, I should find some witches for now. Using this city as an chance to find one and exterminate it.

"Witches had barriers within them called 'On' as it enclosed through them, making it impossible for us to detect there places. Use 'Gyo' for this."

My eyes lit up as I activated my Gyo. I began scanned through the crowd to see something suspicious, but unfortunately, none.

I guess it wouldn't be that easy, huh?

Instead of frowning, I put a smile as I started walking ahead while trying my best to spot a witch.

I began to move place to place in searching for my targets for annihilation through here and there, looking everywhere. The wind crisped against my skin as it was a wonderful day and a waste for doing stressful things such as this mission.

My stomach growled as I sighed and grabbed a box of pocky in my pocket, opening the box, I grabbed a stick and plopped one in my mouth. I began to nibble the biscuit as the chocolate flavor bursts in my tongue.

Chocolate flavors are really the best among the rest!

As I was eating my pocky, I began to remember what Pariston-san told me earlier while we were at the Sky Tower.

Flashback

"Listen well, Alyssa-chan. The witches are dangerous creatures that has control of Nen, if possible, I wouldn't want you to fight them."

"It's fine, Pariston-san. I wasn't able to take part in exterminating the Chimera Ants then..."

"Now that you've mentioned it, there were two kids that joined the mission. They're around your age."

"Is that true? They seem to be very strong that they were able to take part in the mission."

"Yes, very strong."

From Pariston-san's tone back then, I'm now curious of those two. I wonder if I'll be able to meet them face to face? I do hope so. I bet they're strong!

Throwing the empty box of biscuit in the trash bin as I started my mission to find an witch again, dragging my feet to walk through the bumpy road.

Then I noticed how the atmosphere changed all of sudden, strange.

Suddenly, I felt an chill run up to my spine as my legs trembled from the sinister sensation nearby. I turned around to see if someone was staring at me, but none.

What was that? Blood lust?

I shook my head and continued on my journey, hoping it would go well without me getting injured again.

✢✩✦✩✦✩✦✢

Time passed by as it was now nighttime, the sky was dark and the stars are out, glimmering the heavens. Lights from the posts lit up as it lighten up the darkened town.

I still can't find a single Witch...

Currently in my wits, I sighed as I never expected that this mission will be this hard. If I can't even spot a witch, how would I be able to exterminate its whole race?

How pathetic can I be...

Slither. Slither. Slither.

I heard a sound of slithering pierced the tranquil night sky, then the figure began to close by as I felt something slumped on my shoulder while I could still hear the slithering sound.

"Oya, Oya. What do we have here? A little girl walking through the city at night? Bad girl."

After those words escaped the unknown person's mouth, I instantly knew that this person was....someone I was looking for all along.

The figure that was making the strange sound, wrapped around my neck as my blood run cold and stale. A sweat broke on my forehead as I was frozen in place, unable to move.

I stole a glance at the thing around my neck as I found an peculiar snake around me, figured it out. But what was more peculiar is I saw a collar around its neck and something was imprinted on it.

"I was looking for you, Witch." I answered as I felt an expression of grimace just at my back.

"Witch? What a rude thing to say, I'm not so delighted by that." she says.

"Please stop playing dumb with me. I know too well that you're a witch. You have a different aura around you."

She was silenced as I was starting to get worried, knowing that I was on the edge of this figure of speech battle.

"The cat's out of the bag, huh?"

The snake wrapped around me tightly as it lift me up to mid air which I was able to take a look from the Witch's face, my eyes widened in horror from the face that I was seeing.

This person...looked so humane, unlike the Chimera Ants with inhumane looks. However, a sense of malice was written all over her face as I was able to go back to reality.

"I guess I don't have any choice but to kill you now, hmm?" she hummed as the snake began to gripped on me tighter.

The snake opened its mouth as I saw how sharp its teeth is and how pointy it was as well. It seemed to be filled with poison in its fangs, making me in great danger.

"I would love to torture you, but I am in a hurry today. So let's do it quickly, you'll have a painless death."

Before the snake could graze me with its fangs, my palm touched its body as it stopped at the moment I looked in its sharp eyes.

"Wield to me, Hammurabi."

The seal of contract was set as the snake froze in place, still locked gaze with my pinkish eyes.

"I order you to unwrap me." I said as its body instantly was unwrapped around me, now I'm free.

"H-How did you know my snake's name...?" the female witch was utterly surprised from this.

"It had an collar around its neck, I coincidentally saw a word Hammurabi imprinted on it." I answered.

Her eyes widened, "How...were you able to control...Hammurabi...?"

"With my Nen, of course." I grinned before raising my hand up in the mid air as the snake was on my side.

"Now, it's my turn to attack. Prepare yourself." I said with a smile.

Pointing my finger towards the female wicked Witch before saying...

"Annihilate her! Right now."

The snake rushed up to its master after I offered my command, the killing has finally begun. It started ripping the Witch's flesh as blood spurted everywhere, I started lifting my foot away from the gore scene in front of me.

I don't like killing, never did and never will. It was such a bloody mess, I feel so cold when my fingers touched blood or smelled it.

It was greasy. It always made my knees go weak every time something like that happens in front of me.

Mission Cleared.

Or was I thought...
