Killua's POV.

"Killua, I'm done." Gon says as he was finished taking a bath.

"Yeah, I'll be there for a bit." I said as I was watching the tv again.

"Breaking News! An unknown woman killed many civilians in a convenient store? It was caught on tape in CCTV camera. Let's watch."

A video was played in the tv as it was all about a woman in black clothes entering a convenient store at night, suddenly the glass of the store shattered from the unknown shock wave vibrating from the place.

Then the tape became blurry as the tape was cut off and the reporter was being hosted again in the tv.

"There were 8 unknown bodies found in a rubble the other day, it was trapped under the debris. We are currently searching for the perpetrator, if you have any ideas, please contact us."

That is...no doubt, an...

"A Witch." somebody spoke from my back as I turned around and saw Alyssa whose hair was lowered down her waist and was wearing her night gown.

"Yeah, no doubt." I said.

"That's kind of strange..." she hummed as I looked confused.

"Strange? What do you mean?"

"Why were there 8 corpses found in the crime scene? Witches devour humans in order to get their strength back. So why would she kill them without eating them up...?"

"I don't know. Can it be a message or something?"

"It can't be it. Witches are wicked people who are good at hiding stuff, there is no way they'll reveal their movements like that in the media."

She does have a point. I thought as my thumb touched my chin, I begun to think what was it all about.

"Maybe she was just being picky?" we heard another voice chimed in as we turned around and saw Gon.

"Picky? Are Witches a picky eater?" Alyssa asked.

"There is a probability that they might be searching for a human with Nen, yeah...just like back then with the Chimera Ants." I murmured.

"Anyway, let's not bother with it. It's not our business after all." I added as I stood up and grab my towel.

"B-But..." Alyssa spoke.

"It's fine. We weren't in the crime scene at all, we aren't involved there so there is no need to investigate it."

I closed the door of the bathroom as I leaned my back against it.

Maybe...it's just an hunter not a Witch? Not every case seen in tv could be a Witch doing after all.

Oh never mind. I shrugged all of my thoughts as I twisted the knob of the shower, droplets of water was released and it rained down upon me.

"...Just what are the Witches anyway?"

"So where should we sleep?" I asked Alyssa while ruffling my snowy hair with a towel that was around my shoulders.

"Um...I only have one bed since I live alone." she says while lightly rubbing the back of her head.

"I'm fine with sleeping on the floor." I interjected.

"Same here." Gon chimed in.

"I-I still have some futons left, let me grab it." she quickly says as she rushed out of the room.

Alyssa came once again with the futons as we helped her placed it on the floor, then began to place down the blankets and pillows.

"Phew, I'm so sleepy." the green haired boy whose the same age as I am says as he plopped down on the futons.

"Same here." I chorused as I lay my back down on the futon.

"I'm sorry if you guys have to sleep on the floor..." Alyssa apologized.

"No, it's fine! We don't mind. Plus, you helped us a lot." Gon chirped.

"Yeah, don't feel so bad about it." I said as I put my hands on the back of head while looking up to the ceiling.

I rolled my eyes as I saw her smiled sheepishly. "Anyway, we should think about what to do next."

"About that, I have a question." Gon started as he sat up straight.

"Do you two have any idea what's the Witches background or origin?" he asked the two of us.

"All I know that they devour humans so they could get stronger and live longer. Similar to the Ants." I replied.

"I see...how about you, Alyssa? What do you think?" he asked the pink haired girl who was sitting on her bed.

"...You two don't know anything about them, do you?" she says.

I turned to Gon as we shook our heads before turning back to her, she sighed in disbelief.

"You two accepted the mission without knowing anything? Seriously?" she face palmed.

"It can't be helped. We were broke back then, we needed cash for our next adventure. Exact timing when the Chairman came and gave us a mission that will net us lots of jenny." I said.

"Oh, so that's the reason why you joined the extermination group?"

"Yeah, that's probably it. Since we had nothing to do, we joined." Gon said.

She sighed. "It can't be helped. I'll tell you, so you two would better listen. Got it?"

We nodded as she started giving us out information about our targets.

"For starters, the Witches were from a forbidden book called Wicked Aphrodisiac which was created by four females who were equally dark and cruel. Each one of them were strong whose Nen was produced by their hatred and anger."

"...So the Witches weren't originally human beings?" I asked.

"That's correct, however, they're creators were the humans beings." she answered my question.

The Witches are different from the Chimera Ants who were originally born humans...

"Continuing on, the four females were gone missing through the society and were currently hiding. No one knows their current location is at, neither what they look like. Which was a tough knack to crack, that is why they only assigned us to exterminate every Witches insight until they gave us the appearance of the creators...."

"What? We had another mission after this?" I whined.

"Unfortunately, yes." she said.

I groaned as I glared at Gon. "Didn't you said that it'll be easy cash?"

"That's what I thought." he says as I sighed heavily.

"Any questions so far?" she says.

"I have one! Why did the females created the Wicked Aphro—thingy?" Gon asked, having a hard time to pronounce the title of the book.

"It's Wicked Aphrodisiac." she emphasized.

"Yeah, yeah. That thingy!" he laughed.

"It's not mentioned in the report, but they just told me that those four had a difficult past or something...?"

"What a useless information," I nonchalantly said.

"H-How mean!" she pouted.

"Well, well. At least we got to know more about our target. All we need to do is to get more information." Gon says, trying to chill us down.

"I agree!" Alyssa chirped.

"In order to do that, we should get some sleep." I said as I yawned.

"Yeah. That's right, let's sleep." Gon says as he rolled up his blankets before laying down on the futon.

"Oyasumi." I heard Alyssa said as I slowly closed my eyelids.

"Oyasumi." both me and Gon replied as we both drifted to sleep.

Silence was everything I could hear as I opened my eyes to see the ceiling again, I sat up from the futons as I turned around and saw Alyssa fast asleep.

How adorable.

Wait, what?! Adorable? Did I just thought of how adorable she was? No, I didn't—argh!

I felt heat rush upon my cheeks as I had a hard time controlling my embarrassment. Damn it.

"You also can't fall asleep, too?" a voice says as I felt the hair on my back stood up. Shivers run up my spine as I turned around and saw Gon staring up to me.

"Gon?! You scare the shit out of me! If you were awake, say something!" I blurted as my cheeks were still flushed.

"Shh. Not so loud, Alyssa might wake up." he hushed.

"Oh, my bad." I muttered.

He stood up as he begun to grab his clothes from the drawer. "Hey Killua, how about we start our mission right now when the Witches are fully active at night?" he suggested.

"Sure, I'm up for it." I said before standing up to grab my clothes as well.

After dressing up, we left a letter and placed on top of the desk beside the sleeping girl's bed.

"Hmm~ strawberry cakes are the best." she murmured in her sleep.

Gon giggled softly as I grabbed her blanket and raised it up to cover her.

"Hey Killua, maybe we should take her with us. It'll be dangerous to leave a girl alone at nights." he says.

"But it'll be more dangerous if she comes with us, it's dark outside. It will be the best if she stays here." I said.

"You do have a a point," he said.

We started to walk outside the apartment as we reached outside, leaving Alyssa alone.

"Hey Gon, what did you wrote in the letter?" I asked.

He chuckled. "That we would be taking a long break time~"
