S i x | His ✕ First ✕ Friend
Alyssa's POV.
Me and Killua were still waiting for his friend to arrive as we stood there in front of the clock tower where they were supposed to meet.
"Hey, Killua." I called his name.
He turned to me, "Yeah?"
"Tell me more about your friend." I said as he begun to hum after thinking about my request.
"Well, he is somewhat childish. He can be fearless or reckless all the time. A complete idiot he is." he described his best friend nonchalantly.
"Sounds like he's kinda fun to hang around with." I commented.
"Yeah, he was my first friend." I heard him muttered that before breaking the eye contact between us as he looked away.
"He is also assigned by Pariston-san in exterminating the witches, correct?"
"We were assigned together, so yeah."
"Then could I know his name?"
He tucked both of his hands in his pockets before looking at me.
"His name is—"
"KILLUA!!!"
We both turned around to the source of the voice as we saw a spiky black haired boy with green streaks, wearing green clothes that matches his appearance. He waved his hand while running up to the both of us.
"Gon!" Me and Killua yelled at the same time as we both turned around to face each other, clearly surprised.
"You know him?!" both of us jinxed for the second time.
Gon finally reached us as he smiled at Killua, then his eyes laid upon me.
"Alyssa! It's nice to see you again!"
"Yes, it's also nice to see you again, too."
We both smiled at each other as a certain white haired boy stared at us in clear confusion.
"You two know each other?!" he blurted while pointing at the both of us.
"Yeah, that's right." Gon replied.
"Yes." I nodded while smiling.
Then the sign of confusion left his face as he sighed. "Then why didn't she joined us after you two have met, huh?" he asked.
"Oh, that's....I wasn't sure if she was really the one back then yet." the black haired boy reasoned out before lightly scratching the back of his hair.
"Well, anyway, let's go." Killua says before starting to walk.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
He halted in his footsteps before turning his head to look at me while his hands were tucked in his pockets.
"To hunt Witches, where else?"

Normal POV.
Gon, Killua, and Alyssa spent the rest of the day searching for Witches in YorkNew city which were their first mission was assigned.
They began searching as mighty as they can, however, luck wasn't in their side. They weren't successful and hunting for their targets today.
"Did you found anything?" Gon asked the two as the three of them met up at the town nearby the city.
The two lightly shook their heads in the sign of no, he sighed as their weren't making any progress at all.
"What should we do now?" Killua asked as he put both of his hands at the back of his head as he leaned in.
"For now, we should get a place where we could stay for the night. It's getting dark already." Gon suggested.
"If it's about the place to stay, we can crash at mine." Alyssa says.
"Really? Are you sure?!"
"Yes, I don't really mind."
Then Gon and Killua turned to each other as they nodded before turning their gaze back to her.
"Then let's get going!" the black haired boy cheered as the two nodded and started to walk again.
However, something feels odd.
Alyssa was deep in thought as Killua and Gon walked ahead of her while chattering, leaving her behind.
Witches are more active at night more than the day, so why aren't any one of them make its appearance when the moon is out?
Her footsteps began to get smaller as she was getting left behind, her eyes stared down on the pavement across downtown while thinking heavily.
"Alyssa!" her train of thoughts were crumbled as she looked up and saw the two young boy's waiting for her.
"What are you doing? Hurry up."
"We'll leave you behind."
Oh, that's right...I completely forget about that we're working as a team.
"Please w-wait up!" she stuttered before picking up her speed as she finally reached them.
"You seem to be deep in thought. Are you alright?" Gon asked.
"Y-Yes, I am. Don't worry." she says while smiling sheepishly.
"Well...okay!" he smiled once again before proceeding to walk.
However, there was something that kept bugging Alyssa. She still couldn't figure out what was that.

"Welcome yourselves! However, I don't have much to offer though since I live alone." the salmon haired girl says to the two boys who entered the apartment.
"It's fine. We don't really need much." Killua cooed while tucking his hands in his pockets as he barged in.
"Yeah, he's right." Gon chirped.
"Then...you guys can take a shower while I cook our dinner." Alyssa suggested.
"Gon can go first, I'll do it later." the white haired boy says as he went straight to the living room, plopping on the comfy sofa and flipping the remote control.
"Eh?! I wanna watch tv too!" the spiky haired boy whined.
"No way, take a bath first. You stink!" Killua yelled across the hallways.
"How horrible!" the other boy cried.
Alyssa laughed. "You can watch tv if you want, I'll just go cook."
"I wanna help~!" Gon chirped.
"But earlier you said you wanted to watch tv with Killua...?"
"That can wait, we gotta cook first!"
"Okay, okay."
The two kids walked inside the kitchen as they both grabbed a spare apron nearby and tied it around their waist. They stood up in front of the counter where you could see various utensils scattered everywhere.
"What are we going to cook, Alyssa?"
"Hmm...let's see...how about stew?"
"That sounds delicious! Let's cook!"
"Yes~"
Grabbing all what's necessary for cooking stew and placing it on the table as they started cooking.
"What should I do, Alyssa?"
"Please cut the carrots. You can get the kitchen knife on the shelf below, then the chop board beside it."
Gon went as instructed, he began to cut the carrots with the knife while Alyssa started to boil the meat.
"How's the carrots—?!" she was cut off as she saw him trying to cut the carrot on its tip, trying he's hardest.
"W-Why can't it be cut?!" he groaned.
"That's because you're doing the wrong way to chop a carrot..." she sighed as she walked up to him and grabbed the knife from his hand.
"I'll show you how it's done. Watch closely." she says before chopping the carrot quickly and beautifully.
It was cut in many slices as Alyssa was finally done. "That's how you do cut it. Now, could you please handle the onions?"
"Aye, captain!" he saluted before grabbing the onions to slice it.
The little girl poured down the carrots in the pot before putting seasoning in the water as she stirred it. Then she scooped a little soup and tried it.
"This tastes good so far." she remarked before turning to Gon.
Her eyes widened to see him weeping in front of the sliced up onions that was laying on the chop board.
"I-I can't stop crying...! My eyes hurt." he cried as a waterfall of tears streamed down his cheeks.
"Gon!" she panicked as she grabbed a tissue before rushing towards him to wipe away his tears.
"Are you alright now?" her voice was mellow and soft when asking him
"Yeah, thanks." he nodded.
Slowly, her lips curved in a smile. "That's good to hear."
She threw the tissue away on the trash bin nearby. "If you would like, you can go accompany Killua instead of helping me here."
"But I want to help!" he insisted.
"Then...could you please handle with care the stainless bowls over there?" she asked while pointing her index finger towards the shelves.
"Yeah! This time, I wouldn't get in your way anymore." he cheered before running up to get the bowls.
You aren't getting in my way at all.
She began to stir the stew as its color was getting warmer, she grabbed the cover and put it on top of the pot.
"That will do the trick." she says.
She lowered the heat of the stove and watched it as she waited for it to turn into bubble like substance.
"I got the bowls, Alyssa!" Gon says as he carried a stack of stainless bowls on his arms which were full.
"Y-You shouldn't carry so many at once." she warned him.
"It will be okay. I can handle at least this much." he says to her.
He begun to take few steps forward as his leg tripped on an open shelf below, the bowls were tossed in the air before falling on the ground as it made a sound.
Alyssa, who happens to be nearby, happened to get caught in the mess. She tried to catch the bowls, however, she bumped into Gon as the both of them fell on the ground.
He was on top of her while she was on the bottom of him, his hands touched the ground, pinning her down. While her back came contact with the ground, unable to move.
His leg was on between hers while both of their eyes came in contact with each other, staring deeply.
What an awkward position, indeed.
The clanging of steel was heard across the room as it alarmed a certain boy who was watching tv. He stood up and walked in the kitchen to see the commotion going on.
"It's noisy in here—" he groaned but then he halted as his eyes widened to see what was currently happening.
"What are you two doing?" he said, utterly surprised to see them in that awkward position.
They snapped their heads to the speaker as they saw Killua staring at them with a surprised expression. A blush spread across their cheeks as they're breathe hitched.
"I-It's not what you think!" Alyssa was flabbergasted.
"Y-Yeah." Gon stuttered while slightly blushing as he broke a sweat.
The black haired boy stood up as he held his hand towards the pink haired girl before pulling her in to stand up in her own feet.
"Thanks." she muttered as he just nodded in reply.
"I thought you took a bath, Gon?" the white haired boy asked before raising an eyebrow to him.
"I was supposed to. But, I wanted to help Alyssa in cooking." he says as the other girl nodded.
The pot started to boil as steam came out of it, Alyssa took care of it while Gon picked up the fallen bowls. Killua could only stand their as he watched them help each other.
Then you should've had asked me to help you, too.
Killua had a frown on his face throughout the dinner as the three of them ate the stew together.
