Gon's POV.
Scrubbing. Scrubbing. Scrubbing.
We were scrubbing off the dirt of the glass window of a church at the left side port of the YorkNew city.
"I've had enough!" Killua slammed the towel in the bucket filled with water.
"Why the hell we have to clean this run-mile church?!" he whined.
"Well...the inn officers didn't believed in us that we exterminate the Witches." a sweat broke down on Alyssa's face as she smiled sheepishly.
"Damn! We don't have time for this." he growled in frustration.
"Calm down, Killua. At least they let us sleep in their spare rooms last night." I stated.
Last Night, the place was a wreck after our battle with the Witch and her familiar. Rubble and specks of dirt clattered everywhere as if a meteor crashed in the apartment
"My goodness gracious! What the heck happened here?!" a female who was in charge of the Inn squealed.
"U-Um...we're deeply sorry, we were attacked by someone with great force." Alyssa apologized.
Then the landlady walked closer to us as she leaned in near her face while huffing angrily.
"You think you girly can trick me?? It's obviously you children's fault!" she pointed at the three of us.
"What? How come it's our fault?! We were attacked. We have no choice but to fight back." Killua counter backed.
"A Witch came here and attacked us with the intention of malice. Please believe in us!" I stated.
"You were attacked by a Witch? Don't give me that crap!" she yelled.
Alyssa shivered in fear as she quickly hid behind our backs, using us as her shield. Terrified.
"Alyssa..." Killua muttered as he glanced at her, confused.
"What's wrong?" I asked as I snapped my head towards her.
"S-She is scary..." she stated.
Then we heard the female sighed in disbelief before lightly scratching the back of her hair. She tossed us something as I grabbed it just in time. It was a key.
"That's the spare room left in our Inn, feel free to past the night there."
We were kind of moved by her sudden kindness of giving us a spare apartment and was truly grateful that we had somewhere to spend the night into.
"You were going to give us another apartment in the end, huh? You should've had did that in the first place." Killua cooed while nodding.
Then the female smacked him on the head as he was caught surprised.
"Don't be so conceited! Tomorrow, I will let the three of you clean the church just three miles away from here." she stated.
"What?!" the three of us whined.
"You three have any complaints?!" she yelled once again.
"No, mam." I sighed.
"Hey Onni-chan, want to play soccer with us?" I snapped my neck and saw a little kid holding a soccer ball.
"Sure!" I grinned happily before putting the towel in the bucket filled with clean water.
"Killua, Alyssa, want to join us?" I asked the two of them.
"I'll pass. I don't want to get smacked by that old hag again." the silver haired snorted.
"I-I'm sorry, but I don't know how to play soccer." the pink haired stated.
"Oh, I see...then I'll go play with them for a bit." I waved at them before walking over the kids in the field.
Normal POV.
"That Gon...playing on his own!" Killua gritted his teeth while glaring childishly at the black haired boy.
"Then you should've joined them." Alyssa suggested while scrubbing the windows.
"Are you stupid? If I played with them, you'll be all alone!" he stated.
A blush crept up on her cheeks, "I-I'll be fine! I can clean all of this alone."
"You still don't get it, don't you? I said I won't play with them." he said.
"I-I see..." she stuttered before looking down on her shoes, blushing.
"Thank you."
"Huh? For what?"
"For staying with me."
Then he pinched her cheeks as bubbly tears flood out of her eyes while her cheeks were red like apples.
"Didn't I told you not to thank me?" he stated while pinching her cheeks.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch! I'm sorry! I won't say it again—!" she cried while flapping her arms.
Then he lets go of her cheeks as she massaged her poor, pinched cheeks.
"I find it easy to talk to you these days." her lips curved in a smile as she looked at him with purity.
"Because I decided not to lie to you."
Both of their eyes widened as the two of them said the same thing, blood rushed up their cheeks as they were both blushing furiously.
Suddenly, a soccer ball flew up between them as it broke the glass window. Shards clattered everywhere.
Somehow, everything turned a little bit slow as they stared at each other's eyes. Unable to say anything.
"Alyssa, I—" Killua stretched his arm to grab her wrist but then she quickly ran away, blushing.
His mesmerizing blue eyes stared at her running figure from afar before touching his soft lips.
I thought that out loud. he thought.
"We're really sorry for that!" Gon yelled as he ran up to the struck boy who was frozen in his place.
"Huh? What's wrong? You're face is bright red! Do you have a fever?" he asked the silver haired boy.
He noticed that Killua was staring at something, then he turned around and saw their female companion running away.
"Where is Alyssa going?" he asked again to the flustered boy.
However, the blushing boy didn't said anything. He just stood there, petrified.
"Hey, Killua. You okay?" Gon waved his hand near his eyes, no effect.
"Gon..." he finally said something.
"What?"
"I said something embarrassing to Alyssa earlier."
"What did you say to her?"
"Something so stupid that I could die."
