"Come back home as soon as the skies turn dark, okay?"
Mito was warning the children about strict restrictions and stuffs such as putting their safety precautions, they would just nod in every nag she says.
"See you later, Mito-san!" Gon yelled.
"We'll be back before it gets dark." Killua said leisurely.
The woman smiled as she turned to the little girl with eye-catching rosy pink hair, she whispered something in her ear, however, Gon and Killua managed to hear it.
"Make sure to keep these troublemakers out of harm, okay? Especially, Gon. He's a handful." Alyssa laughed at her request.
"Mito-san!" Gon shrieked. "How cruel. I'm not handful!"
"We don't need Alyssa to watch out after us, we're pro hunters!" Killua said in a matter-of-fact.
Then the three of them went to their way and started to travel around the place filled with grasses and wild animals nearby, happily together.

"Say...after this, what should we do?" Gon asked as his back touched the grassy plains.
"What do you mean?" Killua asked as he sat beside him.
They spent half a day fooling around in the savage jungle, running, playing, climbing, and experiencing new things. Now, they found a great spot for relaxing and just laid down to rest after all the hard work they did.
"What I mean is—where should we go next? We haven't get any much information about the creators of the Witches...isn't there a way to get this job done quick?" he clarified.
The silver haired boy was astonished, "Wow, Gon. You were actually thinking about that?" he mocked.
"Of course I am!" Gon said.
"There is no need for you to fret, eventually we'll have a clue in defeating them. Just slow down." Alyssa said as her hands were busy doing something.
"What're you doing?" Killua asked as he saw her tying flowers to each other, attaching them.
She smiled. "Flower crowns!"
"Oh, I used to do that with Mito-san before!" Gon piqued.
"Want to try?" Alyssa asked Killua.
"Nah...it's only for girls." he huffed.
"You think so?" she asked as she slowly leaned in to him and then placed the crown on top of his head.
"It looks perfect on you."
Killua blushed as the handmade flower crown touched his fluffy hair, he grabbed it and put it down.
"There is no way it'll look good on me, stupid." he said.
She laughed cheerfully as he blushed even more, mortified.
"Say, Alyssa...tell more about yourself." Gon whimsically said.
"Huh?" she said.
"You rarely talk about yourself, while us, on the other hand, kept bantering you about our adventures and backgrounds." Gon pouted.
She looked hesitance. "Why do you want to know?"
"That's because we're friends, of course we'll want to get to know each other more." Killua stated.
Because we're friends, huh?
"There is nothing interesting about my stories..." Alyssa said. "I just had an plain, old childhood memories."
"Eh? That's interesting." Killua said.
"I know it's so uninteresting—What? Interesting, you say?" she bluttered.
"You said that you were raised in a orphanage, aren't you? I want to go there!" Gon cheerfully said as the girl flinched from his idea.
"Hey Gon, stop that. It's clear that Alyssa is against that idea." Killua nudged the pointy haired boy.
"Is that right...? Aw, I wanted to see that place." he sighed.
"We could go there sometimes." the boys both turned around after Alyssa said that, she adverted her gaze from them.
"It's not that I'm against it...it's just that it is a small privilege surrounded by trees, I spent most of my years there and it is really docile." she said.
"Oh, so its a private property?" Killua asked as the girl nodded.
"Yes, but there are lots of children there. I made many friends there, so I guess it's alright...?" she said.
"Alright!" Gon jumped in the air, feeling relieved.
Then Killua's phone begun to rung as he instantly answered the call, putting his phone near his ear, he heard the voice from the other line.
"Hello?" he said as he begun to speak with the caller.
"Killua, it's me. Kurapika." the voice said as his eyes slightly widened.
"Kurapika?!" he blurted as Gon's eyes widened, he scooted up beside the silver haired boy.
"What?! Seriously? Put it on loud speak!" Gon yelled as Killua did what he said.
"Is that Gon with you? What a surprise. I didn't knew that you two already met up." Kurapika said.
"Hey, Kurapika! It's been awhile, how have you been?!" Gon said.
"I am fine. Back to the main topic, I have a reason why I called you...it's a job request, you guys are probably broke, right?" Kurapika said from the line.
"Eh? How did you know?" Gon asked.
"Just a guess." he said.
Creep. Killua's eyes twitched as she shudder from the thought.
"What's the job?" Gon asked, changing the subject.
"It's simple. I want you to steal something for me, a forbidden chanting book." he said.
"Forbidden chanting book? What kind?" Killua asked.
"It has a black cover with silver linings imprinted on it, the pages are golden leaves. However, never open the book. You might get possessed, all your hard work will be in naught." Kurapika answered.
"What's the title of the book?" Gon asked.
They heard a sigh from the other line which made them slightly confused.
"Unfortunately, it has no title. It is an untitled book, you will be exerting much effort in finding this." he said.
"A book with no title? How strange." Gon said. "I haven't read a book with no title..."
"You don't read a book." Killua interjected.
Kurapika giggled after hearing this as Gon fumed in anger, clearly offended.
"I'll email you where we'll meet, until then, keep in touch." Kurapika said.
"Yeah, see you later." Killua said.
"Yeah, bye." the silver haired boy put down the call as he inserted it inside his pockets.
"Who was that?" Alyssa asked.
"It's Kurapika. A friend of ours." Gon cheerfully grinned.
"Oh, so what's this job all about?" she asked again.
"It's about stealing a peculiar book with no title, despite that, your still coming with us, right?" Killua asked, thinking that she might disapprove.
"I don't know what I can do to help, but if I can do something, I'll do what I can." she smiled.
"That will be cool." he grinned.
The skies turned orange at the sun was finally setting, the black haired boy stood up from the grassy plains.
"Let's go home," Gon said.
"Already? It's still early." Killua whined, enjoying the sunset in front of them.
"What a shame. I liked the view." Alyssa pouted.
"Well, you guys will see a better view later!" the cheerful boy said.
"What?" the two said, confused.
"There will be a firework display in the summer festival, it will be a blast!"
"Summer festival? I want to go!" Killua cheered.
"That sounds terrific." Alyssa clapped. Excited.

Gon and Killua just finished wearing their yukatas for the upcoming festival in the town, wearing the colors in their contrast, it fitted them well.
"Hey, Gon...is it alright for me to wear this?" Killua asked as he wore a blue colored yukata.
"Yeah, it's alright." Gon smiled as he wore a green colored yukata.
Then Mito walked downstairs as the two boys turned to her, they noticed someone hiding behind her back.
"Don't be shy, Alyssa-chan..." she smiled at the little girl who was gripping on her dress.
Then Alyssa walked passed Mito as the two boys' were bewildered by the sight of her, her cheeks were dusted bright red, clearly embarrassed.
"Doesn't she look adorable?" Mito patted her head as she looked down on the floor.
The woman watched how the boys react, they were speechless, maybe attracted by the girl in front of them.
"Yeah, Alyssa really looks so cute!" Gon smiled at her normally.
"Thank you...Gon." she shyly said as she looked up at met his gaze.
"I was really surprised in how adorable you look! Pink really fits you." he said again, stating the pink colored yukata she's wearing.
Then Alyssa turned to Killua whose blue eyes locked at her, there was a visible bright blush on his pale skin.
He turned away his gaze and looked somewhere else to avoid being awkward, Alyssa felt hurt by this.
"Let's go to the festival, Killua! Alyssa!" Gon yelled as he grabbed the girl's hand and made in a run.
"Wait up!" Killua also yelled as he began to chase after them.
They ran out of the house as Mito waved her hand, watching them leave and run towards the festival.
✢✩✦✩✦✩✦✢
"How nostalgic. It's been awhile since I attended a festival again." Gon said as the three of them reached the festival.
"Well, it's my first time." Alyssa said as they begun to look around.
Killua tucked his hands in his pockets while his eyes sd tareat the sight of two hands tangled with each other. He was annoyed.
Why does Gon always gets what he wants? While I even can't... he thought, slightly bothered.
Gon and Alyssa were still holding hands while chatting happily, Killua walked behind them, all alone.
"Hey, could you guys stay here for a sec? There is something I want to check." Gon said as he lets go of Alyssa's hand and runs ahead.
Now, the two of them were in the middle of the crowd, all alone by themselves.
"What should we do know?" Killua asked as Gon finally left the scene.
"I don't know...we could do anything you want." Alyssa smiled.
"Then...want to check out the rest of the festival?" he asked while lightly rubbed the back of his neck.
"Sure! I'll go anywhere with you." she energetically said as he nodded, they started to walk around and explore the place.
Walking few steps in the crowd, Killua noticed that it is easy to get lost in the swarm of people here, just by a blink of an eye, the girl with him may get lost.
Then he held her hand as she flinched from his touch, she looked up and saw him hurriedly adverted his gaze.
"I'll h-hold your hand s-so you won't get lost, okay? I-It's not like I'm doing this b-because I want to!" he stuttered.
"Yes." she nodded as let him do as he please.
Killua's hands are surprisingly warm. she blushed.
They started to walk through the cramp places of the festival, then something caught Alyssa's eyes as she stopped and held Killua's hand.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
Alyssa shyly pointed at the cute pushily as a prize in a shooting stand, he smiled by this. "What are you, a little kid who has love for stuff toys?"
"Age doesn't matter to cute things!" she pouted.
He pat her head as he cracked a laugh. "Alright, alright. Midget."
"I am not a midget!" she stated.
"Then what? A shorty?" he teased again.
"Please don't tease me and get the prize~!" she said as she pushed Killua to the stand, persuading him to win the bunny pushily that she wants.
"Hai, hai." he said as he went up and tried to win the prize.
"Old man, can I try it?" Killua said as the man gave him a toy gun.
He steadied his gun towards the desired pushily, he pulled the trigger as the fake bullet came out and strike the bunny from the place. It fell on the ground, flat.
"Wow...so amazing!" Alyssa complimented as Killua smirked.
"How easy," he said so himself. Then he turned to Alyssa. "That's all you want, right?"
"Yes! yes! Please give it to me!" she said as the man gave her the pushily that Killua shot.
They begun to walk around the place while holding hands, Alyssa hummed happily as she has the bunny stuff toy.
"I got the pushily that I want." she happily said.
"Pfft...what a kid." Killua tried to hide his laughter.
"What's so funny?" Alyssa pouted.
"Nothing, Shorty." he chuckled.
"Stop calling me shorty!" she cried.
✢✩✦✩✦✩✦✢
The two of them walked to the lake nearby the festival, still their hands held each other tightly. Lightly chatting and teasing each other as they soon laughed again.
"When do you think that will the fireworks start?" Alyssa asked.
"Maybe few minutes now." Killua answered.
"Gon isn't here yet...I wonder where he is now." she said.
"No clue. He'll make it here later." he said as they both looked up at the sky filled with stars above.
Silenced filled the air as Killua grabbed something from his pockets, he took it out and it was a pretty clip.
"Here, for you." he handed it to her.
"For me? Thank you!" she smiled as she grabbed it. Then she placed it in her hair while smiling at him.
"How do I look?" she asked him.
He adverted his gaze away from her while blushing, "You look fine..."
She was saddened. "Oh, I see..."
Silenced bestowed them again as Alyssa looked down on the ground as shadows cast upon her eyes, Killua took a glance of her to see her upset.
He messed his silver hair with his free hand frustratingly, "Damn it!"
Alyssa flinched. "Killua, what's wrong?"
He looked down on the ground as his cheeks were bright red, completely embarrassed of himself.
"I wish I can be more honest with myself like how Gon is!" he said.
"Honest...?" she asked.
"I wish I could tell you how pretty you are or have the courage to hug you just like he can without being embarrassed of my actions." he added.
"Killua..." she whimpered.
"I always get so nervous when I'm with you and I don't know why! It's getting in my nerves." he yelled.
Her eyes started to get watery, finally getting it why. She looked straight in his eyes, trembling.
"Killua...do you hate me?"
He was shocked as he hurriedly shook his head, she was wrong. Completely wrong about that. Except, it was the opposite.
"What? No! Why would I hate you, Stupid!" he said.
"Then why are you calling me stupid? It's clear that you hate me." she cracked.
"No...you got it wrong. I don't hate you Alyssa, I swear." he said, sincerely while making an eye contact with her.
"I li—"
BOOGSH!
Fireworks shoot up in the sky as he was halted by the loud sound and flashy lights above, even so, they kept their eyes locked at each other's gaze.
Meanwhile, the ice creams held by a boy who was nearby the lake, melted as the sticky cream fell on his hands. His feet was frozen in tracks, then once the fireworks ended, he lifted his foot and walked away. Heavy hearten.
Alyssa blushed as her eyes were still on Killua's mesmerizing blue eyes that could make the icebergs meltdown.
"What do you mean by I li?" she asked, confused.
He blushed even more. "I li..."
"I li...?" she asked again.
"...I like chocolate! Yeah, chocolate!" he blurted as bullets of sweat filled his face, nervous.
"Um...okay?" she said.
I want to die...as in right now. Killua was so embarrassed right now.
