"Oi! Deku! Hurry up dammit you're gonna make us both late!" Katsuki yells pounding on the front door of Izuku's house. "You have thirty seconds to hurry your ass up starting 28 seconds ago!"

"Shut the hell up! I'm ready Agni damnit." Izuku curses, swinging the door open and slightly startling Katsuki. "For the love of the eternal flame, I'm ready. My hair didn't want to cooperate this morning alright?!"

"Just burn it off. It's what I do."

"Yeah and your hair looks like it exploded. Enough chit chat we're gonna miss the train." Katsuki scoffs at the insult about his hair before jerking his head to the left, gesturing for Deku to follow him to the train station.

The results for the summer's hero's expo have been released and once again Bahamut has surpassed Endeavor in the rankings now seated at number two. Naturally Izuku wanted to gloat all about it to Shouto when they got to class that morning. He already overheard Hisashi gloating on the phone to his friend, and subsequently hearing Endeavor yelling about beating him for the fall rankings. Izuku tells Katsuki the news only getting a single laugh in response from the combustion bender as they take their seats on the train to the other side of the city where the academy is located. "You know, I forgot to ask. How did your date go?" Izuku asks as the train begins to slow down coming into the station.

"Pretty well, but I was nervous for a good bit of it and the Jasmine Dragon has really gone down hill. The tea was terrible and was flavorless." Katsuki replies, causing Izuku to arch an eyebrow as the train comes to a stop.

"That's a shame, you'd think since that shop was opened almost 400 years ago they'd try to keep it as authentic as possible so they could honor his memory." Izuku complains, collecting his bag and leaving the train car with Katsuki in tow.

"I said he'd be rolling in his urn over that one." Katsuki says before the two continue on towards the academy.

Entering the academy the halls are alive with dozens of students walking back and forth between the rooms. To their right is a large placard revealing the classroom listing for the first year's homeroom class. After finding the name of the homeroom teacher on the placard Izuku goes quiet. "Uh... I didn't know your dad was the teacher." Katsuki says reading the name Midoriya Hisashi on the nameplate for the instructor. "Welp, I just found out right now. Question is how did he beat us here?"

"He flies around on a red dragon. How did he not beat us here?" Izuku realized how dumb the question he asked was before sighing and walking towards his father's classroom.

Upon entering the classroom, Denki and Shouto are already seated speaking to each other as well as some other familiar faces from around the room. Katsuki sneers when he sees Chan had somehow managed to get into the class and Izuku notices Lee Kamoto who fought Denki in the entrance exam. One person of note was the same blue firebender, Yaoyorozu Momo seated at the front of the class. Her hair is done up in a ponytail that spikes outwards behind her head. In the middle of her hair is a small red flame pennant that members of the royal family wear. Beside her, is another young woman with green hair similar to Izuku's own. She had a wide grin on her face revealing her sharp toothed smile as she showed pictures to the princess. There are no name plates for the desks so Izuku and Katsuki take seats next to each other just behind the first row before waiting for the class to begin. As the door clicks open the class goes silent as Hisashi arrives. The father of Izuku is dressed in his normal hero attire, a slime fire retardant body suit with white accent lines up the torso, a pair of black cargo pants and utility belt fitted with different pouches and flammable accelerants to assist with his firebending. He wore a sleeveless open vest and deep red shoes the same as both the vest and his son's shoes. His goggles were pushed up his face on the top of his head and their family pet dragon Mushu was seated on his shoulder.

"Ah, good morning class." Hisashi greets, causing the class to return the morning greeting. "Good, you're enthusiastic for a monday. Now most of you will recognize me as the current number 2 hero Bahamut but for your time here at the academy I am just Mr Midoriya your homeroom and advanced bending instructor. Now with the first day of class comes the normal introduction things as well as orientation which we will get to later. For today's class I just want you all to introduce yourselves to your classmates and I will pass around your syllabuses. Let's start with Izuku." He explains before pointing to Izuku.

"Oh, I didn't expect you to single me out first Dad but ok then. I'm Midoriya Izuku, and He's my father." Izuku points at Hisashi. "I discovered I was a firebender at the same age most people get their quirks."

"Welp I'm next then. I'm Bakugou Katsuki, probably one of the only combustion benders in the country. My mother is the pro hero Madam Blast who also is a combustion bender." Katsuki introduces before moving the hair away from the red eye on his forehead. "There ain't much to know about me. If you can beat me, you'll have my respect."

"I'm Lee Kamoto." the girl beside Katsuki introduces as she stands for a brief moment and bows. "I'm from Republic City and my family recently moved here because my father's business expanded."

"There's no hard feelings from our duel, are there?" Denki asks, causing the shorter woman to nod her head no. "Ok good. I'm Kaminari Denki and my family have been the lightning generators for the firenation for several generations. I decided to go to this school to become a better firebender and to one day become a pro hero."

"Sup Ladies." Chan, the meathead of the class, nods and winks towards a couple of the girls. "I'm Chan Ha and I'm the best there is."

"Shut it matchstick. I kicked your ass in 30 seconds flat." Katsuki insults, causing the others in the class to all say "Oooohhh." as if to antagonize him. "Don't boast to people when the guy who laid you out in half a minute is seated 3 seats from you. Moron."

"Well, ehem. I am Princess Momo Yaoyorozu. I trace my lineage back to Princess Azula and I am nineteenth in line for the throne which means I am not going to become firelord. Instead I wish to become a pro hero as I am the only member of my family, including my siblings, to have a quirk." Momo explains before opening her palm and creating a matryoshka doll. "I can create anything nonliving with my quirk through the lipids of fat the human body naturally stores."

"Hai Hai! I'm Tokage Setsuna. I like to use firebending to breathe fire like the real dragons do and I have a lot of bearded dragons as pets." Setsuna's introduction was short but said more than enough to get the personality of the excitable firebender across.

"I'm not much for words but, I'm Todoroki Shouto, Endeavor is my father and I also possess a quirk." Shouto demonstrates this by creating a small bit of ice on his desk. "I have cryokenysis or the ability to create ice. Normally I'd get hypothermia for using this too much but since I can control my body heat because of my firebending the only downside to my quirk is basically null."

One by one the other students list their names, and a couple things they thought was important about them. Hisashi passes out the syllabus to each student before holding up a sheet beginning to read from it. "Welcome to the Lu Ten, Royal Firebending Academy. Here we will be instructing you on the normal highschool level education that will consist of three levels of grammar, science as well as trigonometry through calculus. In addition to the main courses, you will have the option of taking history or music and there will be different firebending courses depending on your level of skill. Todoroki Enji aka Endeavor will be instructing the firebending courses here at the academy and in a month from now on the anniversary of Avatar Genji's death we will have a memorial service and watch the news to see who is named the new Avatar. Through the years here at the academy there will be different events against other schools world wide. The first will be the Yangchen festival held in Republic City at the Avatar Aang air temple. The next will be the Yuei Memorial Academy for Waterbending annual sports competition and lastly the Roku day festivities at the end of the year. Tomorrow we will begin with the apprehension tests followed and your normal courses. You're dismissed."

With that the students grab their schedules and exit the classroom heading through the other courses they have today. The classes are set up by blocks, two days a week they have their primary courses, the other two they have their electives and on every day of the 4 day week they have classes. On Fridays no normal courses are in session but the training facilities are open all day and both instructors for basic and advanced bending are present in order to assist or go over earlier classes. For most of the day Izuku and Katsuki had classes together and in each case so did the princess. Izuku found himself mainly ignoring what the instructors were talking about and staring at the firenation princess. On a couple occasions Katsuki had caught him on this and teased him for it. At the end of the day Katsuki had left to go to the advanced firebending class and Izuku was placed in Hisashi's class once again for lightning generation.

"Well, I am aware that many of you have come into this class with the knowledge of lightning generation but it is always important to go through the basics. So, that is where we will be beginning today. Everyone take a relaxed stance and steady your breathing. Lightning generation requires clearness of mind otherwise it will explode in your face." Hisashi begins by taking a relaxed stance and toning down his breathing. Slowly he goes through the movements of lightning generation, raising his hands to his chest his dominant arm rises to his head with his index and middle fingers extended. His opposite goes down towards his waist as he steps out to a wide horse stance. As he focuses and breathes lightning begins to crackle on the tips of his finger as he moves his arms coldly before copying the motion of his left hand with his right creating a second bolt with his nondominant right hand. When his hands come together he points both sets of fingers together and collects the full charge from the lightning before stepping wide and extending his hand. A loud whitish blue bolt of electricity erupts from his fingers and strikes a lightning rod on the far side of the training field.

"Lightning bending is Cold Firebending. While normal firebending is fueled through emotions be it positive or negative, lightning can only be created when you're still minded and are distraction less. Focus on a specific event to draw your inner chi and then separate the negative and positive energies using your inner fire. Then direct it where you wish it to go, however it is important to keep a wide stance. If you don't want to accidentally electrocute yourself it is key to not let the lightning ground itself through you and direct your energy out of you and at your target." Hisashi takes a pause to allow the first few students to walk up to the starting platforms. "For your safety there are rubber insulated boots. Everyone must put them on no matter how proficient you are with lightning bending."

"I can't figure out lightning bending for the life of me." Shouto comments leaning towards Izuku who was pacing himself to go next. "Wanna watch me blow myself up?"

"Come on Shouto you have to have some confidence in yourself. Just empty your mind and point after all the stances. It's easy." Izuku encourages his friend before walking up to the platform, across from him are Momo and Kaminari. When Hisashi gives the whistle the three go through the movements to generate lightning. Izuku's manifests in its normal blue and Kaminari's in yellow but out of the corner of his eye he sees that no lightning was created when Momo went through the motions. Asd they go to expel the bolts only 2 lightning strikes occur and the final one was an explosion with Momo getting sent backwards a good 20ft. Instinctively Hisashi and Izuku rush over the the noble's aid.

"You alright?" Hisashi asks as he and his son get to Momo's side. She sits up reeling from the explosion before shaking her head to try to find some clarity. "Yaoyorozu. Are you ok?"

"Y-yeah." She stammers before pinching the bridge of her nose. "That hurt but I'm fine for the most part." She replies before Izuku helps her off her feet.

"Alright well if you're feeling fine then you didn't electrocute yourself, but I'm still going to send you to the infirmary. Izuku help her to the clinic, will you?" Hisashi asks, prompting his son to nod and lead Momo out of the class.

"I'm going to have to go with them." Shouto states before suddenly exploding, Hisashi, Izuku and Momo all cringe as the son of Endeavor fails to create lightning and blows himself up like Momo did. While she remained on her feet, Shouto ended up knocking himself out forcing Izuku to carry him to the infirmary.
