"Shiro!" a red haired guy called as he walked up to us with a smile on his face. Who the heck is he?

"Akaru-kun...?" Shiro said as the guy name Akaru reached us, he eyed all of us for awhile before speaking.

"This is your new teammates, yes?" he asked as Shiro nodded her head, then she stood beside him.

"T-This is Takahashi Akaru-kun, my best friend since Yuu and I escaped the vampire city!" she introduced him to us as we began to exchanged our names with each other.

This dude has fierce red hair with matching golden eyes, in the way he acts towards Shiro as if he knew her a long time ago.

"Anyways, what are you doing here?" he asked Shiro as they began to ignore us as if we are not here.

"Giving out rations, we just finished exterminating vampires and on our way back home, you?"

"Same."

They began to chatter and laugh as I just watched them, somehow I felt really pissed. Adding at Shinoa's who walked up to me.

"What's with that look? Oh, are you jealous of Akaru-san~?"

"Oh shut up, Shinoa."

She snickered as she stood beside me, we saw Mitsuba, Yoichi, and Kimizuki now interacting with them.

"Those two are really close to each other ever since they were young, Akaru-san is like a protective brother of Shiro-chan's." she remarked as I hummed in reply.

Somehow...when I see those two together as if I think that Shiro's really far from me, she obtained strength, trust, friends, and top ranking.

Between me and her, as if I was the one who's left behind while she's far ahead of me, out of my reach.

"Akaru-san has the title of Red Hero, while Shiro-chan has White Demon... those two are strong individuals."

'White Demon and Red Hero...what a cool title they have.'

"I gotta go now...see you guys, it was fun meeting you all!" Akaru said as he waved goodbye to all of us.

"Oh...and one more thing, Shiro?" Akaru halted from his steps as she turned to Shiro. "yes?"

"Are you a camera? Because every time I look at you, I smile."

My eyes widened as I saw Yoichi and Kimizuki shocked while Mitsuba blushed and Shinoa smirked, except for Shiro who was puzzled.

"I'm not a camera, but I feel really happy when you smile at me!"

Silence, all of us were in dead silence while we stared at Shiro who was smiling innocently. "huh? did I said something wrong?" she asked.

Akaru shook his head while rubbing Shiro's white hair, "nothing," he said as he left us and walked away.

We began to walk together back to the main headquarters while chatting.

"I think Takahashi likes you—no, he's obviously into you!" Mitsuba said while clasping her hands.

"I also think so too, Shiro-san." Yoichi said, agreeing with Mitsuba.

"I'm...not so sure about that, sometimes when he says stuff like that, he's angry!" Shiro said.

"Man, your childhood friend sure is dense...I feel bad for Takahashi." Kimizuki said to me as I nodded.

Then Shiro walked up to with her signature smile, "hey Yuu, what do you think about Akaru-kun?"

I furrowed my eyebrows about her question, what do I think about him anyways...?

"He's a great guy, I guess?"

"You could just drop the last part you know?"

"It can't be help, I don't know that much about him like you do."

Somehow, I feel bothered when I see that guy, geez...what's wrong with me?

The next day, the car that we're going to use isn't functioning, so the others took a rest for awhile while Kimizuki was fixing the car.

"Hey...could I drive it?" I asked as I was really amused by the cars, then Kimizuki sat up and turned to me.

"You don't know how to drive." he said as I sweat dropped.

"Yeah, but...just for a little bit?"

"Just don't touch it, I'll give you a short lesson later."

"You can drive? Awesome!"

"Just sit in the back seat, kid."

I drove the car for a bit and later on I was scolded by damn Kimizuki, then Shinoa sat on the driver's seat.

"Hey Yuu, are we really going to ride the car?" I turned to my right and saw Shiro looking at me, worriedly.

"Yeah, what's wrong?" she shook her head lightly and smiled. "nothing,"

She said however her actions speak otherwise, she looked worried. Then I turned my attention to Shinoa who sat on the driver's seat.

"Please get in, everyone. Huh?" she said while looking up to the window, then me and Kimizuki bursted out while laughing.

"You can't drive with that height!"

"You're so short, Shinoa!"

"Oh? I see..." both of us stopped laughing while she started beating us.

"Let's not mock Shinoa about her height anymore."

"For the first time, I agree with you."

We were in silence for awhile as I glanced at Shiro who's face was pale, then her head fell on Yoichi's shoulder.

"Sorry...but can I lean on your shoulder for a second?" she asked as Yoichi nodded, tensed. He was also blushing from the close contact.

"What's wrong Shiro? Feeling sick?" I asked but Shinoa answered my question instead.

"Shiro-chan can't handle moving vehicles in other words, she has a motion sickness." she explained.

Now that I remember, Shiro was always like that back then.

•≫Flashback≪•

We were having riding on the car with my family, I don't know where are we going. I felt someone thing heavy on my shoulders as I turned to see white hair.

"Sorry...but can I lean on your shoulder for a second?" Shiro asked as I nodded.

It was always like that back then, but there was one time when Shiro puke on my shorts...

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry Yuu!"

She repeatedly apologised as I told her it was okay, guess her motion sickness never changed.

We heard some crashing from the place, I suspected that it was the four horsemen of john. We decided to ignore it while we continued driving through the wreaked town.

"We'll see Shinjuku's defensive barrier after I make a turn." Kimizuki said as we turned, then we saw smoke coming from the tower.

"There's someone ahead of us..." Shiro spoke as I turned to her, then she squinted her eyes.

"White clothing...it's a noble!" she exclaimed as all of us gasped.

After driving for a meter, we saw what Shiro meant...there was a vampire walking up to us.

"Don't stop Kimizuki! Run over it!" i said as we opened the doors and ran out of the moving car.

The noble vampire singlehandedly smashed the car as he threw it towards Yuu and Shinoa. who dodged it.

Yoichi shot arrows as the noble counter attacked it with a light swing of his blade, just in time, Shinoa and Mitsuba misdirect the blow.

"No one move! This vampire has a 1st class weapon—Shiro-chan!" Shinoa yelled as she saw Shiro running up to the vampire.

Shiro raised her leg and attacked the vampire who used his blade to defend himself from her blow.

"Oh, I know you! You're the one whose with the strong guy!" he chirped as Shiro didn't heed attention and began to kick and punch him.

"I'm honoured for a noble vampire as yourself remember a human like me."

"You should be, the ones that I only remember are the strong..."

Shiro was out of balance from her stance, his blade was about strike her when Yuu cut of his arm.

"Don't lay a finger on Shiro!" he snarled as he glared at the vampire.

The vampire who's hair is dyed with mix of red and black distanced away from the humans. "Not bad for a human...who are you?" he asked.

But Yuu didn't replied as the humans began to tightened their grip on their gears and strengthen themselves.

"This feeling...everyone, stay on guard! There are two vampires on the way here!" Shiro yelled seriously as the vampire frowned.

Confused in how she can detect vampires without seeing them. Just like she said, two new vampires came from the sky and sided up with the other vampire from earlier.

"Your sharp as always, I like you." the vampire said while grinning at the albino haired girl.

"We'll fight at full power, at the borderline of the demon taking over. There will probably be..." Shinoa started as violet marks crept to her skin while looking at the vampires.

"...casualties. That's the life on the battlefield, and you know that, no?"
Mitsuba finished.

The vampires are having an conversation as the two beautiful vampires handed him his blade.

"I'll let you go today, but next time, I'll drink your blood...see you later, my little livestocks." he said as the three of them escaped.

"W-We're saved...!" Shinoa said as she fell on her knees.

"What's with him? Mocking us and playing it all cool!" Yuu whined.

All of them we're frustrated as Yuu finally knew how teamwork is necessary in the extermination unit.

"D-Don't worry, everyone! We'll surely exterminate them!" Shiro said while waving her hands.

Then Yuu glared at her, "that was really reckless of you earlier, Shiro! If I didn't saved you earlier...you'd probably die!" he yelled.

Everyone became quiet and stared at the two, Shiro flinched at his harsh words, but he's right...she was reckless.

Her eyes began to water as Yuu's eyes softened when he saw a lone tear fell from her eye, now he feels guilty.

"I'm sorry...b-but..." she started as she brushed the tears from her eyes.

"I've set myself to exterminate every last one of vampires, and if I die trying...then at least I tried!"
