Yuichiro looked at Akaru with a confused expression, but then he realised something about him.

"We'll talk later, I'll let you know the place beforehand." Akaru instructed as he gave him a piece of paper.

"What's this?" Yuu asked while looking at the paper, "don't be late." the red head huffed and walked away.

'I see...he also likes Shiro.' he thought as he began to walk to the designated place that he was assigned.

Walking at the devastated place, he saw Guren who's leaning his back against the wall, leisurely.

"Hey, idiot Yuu." he greeted.

"Oh, it's you...Guren." Yuu said.

The older male straightened up and turned to the younger male with a smirk plastered on his adorning face.

"I saved you, I also taught you how to live and wield swords."

"What's suddenly gotten into you?"

"I own you, so don't wag your tail to the Hiragi family."

Yuu's eyes twitched as he finally gets it, "i see, that's what this is about." he huffed as he started walking away.

"It's ridiculous, I don't care about fights between people at—"

"Shut up, kid. If you did that, your little Shiro will be sad."

Yuu stopped in his tracks making Guren confused, "you don't have to worry about that, i decided not to abandon any of my friends." he said.

Guren smirked, "you've got one thing wrong; I'm not your friend."

Yuu knitted his eyebrows, "then what are you?"

"Your superior, life saver, guardian. Basically, your God."

Yuu huffed, "you're so annoying."

He continued walking to the buildings while hanging his head low, 'I'm really an idiot for doing that to Shiro.' he thought and sighed.

"Well, Shiro is kind hearted. I hope she does forgives me."

The elevators opened up as he saw a blonde girl coming out. "you were paged too, how'd it go?" he asked.

"It was just an interview, I'm apparently moving up a rank for my recent contribution in fighting off the vampires."

"A promotion, huh?"

"Of course, I am worth it."

Yuu began to walk in the elevator, "if you say so." he said, "hey! At least say something back!" Mitsuba yelled.

Yuu turned to her before he went up to the elevator, he noticed that she was trembling in fear.

"You know it too, I was completely useless in that battlefied! Shiro is more better than me... compared to her, I'm weak!"

She paused for awhile as tears appeared on the corner of her eyes.

"I'm probably the only one to get promoted just because I'm from the prestigious Sangu family. If you're going to laugh at the dirty politics."

She covered her eyes with her arm as Yuu walked up to her and grabbed her arm, making her look at him.

"Mitsuba, I'm not laughing. I didn't knew there were two princess on our team? The other day, I found out that Shinoa's from the Hiragi family."

"Are you...stupid?"

"Shut up. Anyway, promotion's good. Go higher and help me."

Mitsuba paused for awhile, "you mean, for your family?" he adverted his gaze from her, "yeah."

"They ordered me to; keep an eye on him because he could be a spy, but i told them it was impossible."

Yuu smiled and placed his hand on her shoulder making Mitsuba blushed.

"Thanks for believing in me."

Then he now went up to the floor for his interview with a sigh.

I touched my lips that Yuu kissed earlier, I felt my cheeks get warmer from the mere memory.

'W-What does he mean by I belong to him? What's with him?!' i thought as I was really confused right now.

I began to walk to the Hiragi family's office, I was paged by them earlier, the book I was trying to find earlier was some spell crafts of vampires.

I really want to turn Mika back...

"Hey, crybaby Shiro." i looked up to the vast field and saw Guren-san standing there with his hands in his pockets while smirking.

"Guren-san, good morning!" i formally greeted him, "what brings you here? Have lots of time to spare?"

He laughed, "nah, just came here to let you remember something."

I titled my head to the side, "yes?"

He grabbed my chin as he forced me to look up to him as he smirks.

"I own you, don't wag your tail to the Hiragi family...got it?"

My cheeks erupted as I got free from his grasp, 'W-What's wrong with everyone today? Why do they keep in trying to own me?!'

I looked up to him with a determined face, standing up to my decision and my pride.

"I'm not an item, so please don't rightfully claim me as yours."

"Oh? The chicken is talking back now? You used to be more obedient."

I walked passed him as my cheeks were still hot, what's with everyone?!

'I don't belong to anyone!' i thought.

I entered the room where I supposed to go, the room was dark as I closed the door behind me. 'it's kinda scary.'

Then a light pointed at a vampire, I was confused in the sudden appearance of it.

Before I could think of anything, my body moved as it cut down the vampire that perished in thick air eternally.

"I wonder why is a vampire in here?" i asked, then the room was now well lite as I saw three people.

From the looks of it, they were strong. "Um...who are you?" i asked.

"Hiragi Kureto, Lieutenant General of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army."

My eyes widened, 'Hiragi? Is he Shinoa-chan's older brother?'

"You're cursed gear is your body? How intriguing it is." he said as he unscathed the katana near his waist.

"T-Thank you very much." i said as I slightly bowed down, politely.

He has this frown on his face, I couldn't say if he's angry or what.

"The report says that you and Hyakuya Yuichirou are childhood friends, right?" Kureto-san asked.

"Y-Yes, we escaped the vampire city and was saved by Guren-san."

He sighed as if he wasn't convinced, now it was my turn to be confused.

"You two are completely opposites."

I let out a nervous laugh, 'we get that all the time...' i thought.

"Anyways, let me test your strength, Hyakuya Shiro." he said as he ran up to me with his blade. "yes!"

He raised his blade towards me as I used my arm to counterattack it.

"Your limbs are strong enough to handle on of my blade's blows."

"We're just starting, Kureto-san."

I'm rather confident of my fighting skills, I used my other arm to punch his abdomen but, he used the tip of the handle to block my fist.

In a quick pace, I grabbed his neck and performed one of the material arts that I've been doing all this time. I made him slammed his back on the floor.

"Not bad." he said as he stood up and continued clashing his blade to me, I counterattack his blows in my own ways of attacking.

Then he tripped me by my leg as my back touched the ground, without a second, the tip of his blade was pointed near my neck.

Quickly, I grabbed it as I felt electric shocks ran through my course. However, I didn't waver as I manage to push his blade away.

Standing up, he looked at me, surprised. "you...how can you surpass one of my techniques?" he asked.

I smiled, "do you have any idea how many electric shockwaves ran through my course? I've experience lots of more painful stuff than that."

"What a monster!" he chuckled.

I heard a laugh at the other side, I snapped my head and saw a familiar person. "Oh, Shinya-san!"

He waved at me, "Hey Shiro-chan!"

Hiragi Shinya, he's good friends with Guren-san. I happen to meet him during my mission, he's a kind guy.

"Follow me, Hyakuya Shiro." Kureto-san commanded me as I trailed behind him.

The four of us entered a certain place, then I turned around as my eyes widened, there was a someone unfamiliar seating on the chair, tied up.

I was silence for awhile, 'Who are they? Why are they tied up..?' i turned my head to them.

There was a girl and boy tied up, both of them were unfamiliar to me.

"We're going to start the interview, you'll only speak the truth. Resist and the those two who love each other dies on spot."

My eyes widened, they're going to kill them? "there's very little information on your report, the same as Hyakuya Yuichiro."

'The same as Yuu? That means that he also came here earlier...?'

"Why are you getting a special treatment such as being trained by Guren's team? What are you to him?"

"...I don't know, there is nothing special in me. Without this strength, I'm completely useless." i answered truthfully while looking at my palms.

'I'm just a weak girl...' i thought, then the Kureto-san pressed the button as he used the mic to speak there.

"Do it." the man unscathed the knife and stabbed it on the girl's back, making her yelp in the towel jabbed on her mouth.

"S-Stop it! They have nothing to do with me!" i stated, "answer truthfully."

I turned to him, "I don't know how to answer your question, please—"

Once again, he ordered to stab the man. "Please stop! I'll answer everything I can so don't hurt them!" i pleaded.

"Of course you will." he said monotonously as he stared at me.

'He's a monster...!' i thought, slightly terrified. Unconsciously, I started backing away.

"Why is your last name Hyakuya?"

I adverted my gaze, "Hyakuya is my second last name." i stated.

He was startled for awhile, "The report says that it was registered as Hyakuya, if you're saying the truth. What's your first last name?"

I was hesitance for awhile, but I know I have to say it or else that girl might really die in his torture.

"...Yukimura is my former name."

He hummed in reply, "Then why did you registered Hyakuya as your last name instead of Yukimura?"

"That's just from the orphanage I belonged in, I didn't like my last name so I changed it..." i answered.

"The Hyakuya Sect was the largest spell craft organisation in Japan, they gathered children into their orphanage for human experiment."

My eyes widened in what he just said, I can't seem to comprehend everything. It was too hard to swallow.

"Just like him, you're probably a lab rat for the spell craft experimentation."

"Just like him, you say? You mean Yuu is also a lab rat?!"

"Correct, it appears Guren is trying to use something inside you."

'I don't understand what that means, Guren-san is using me...? Oh no.'

I felt my pace felt as I remembered the painful experiments cast down on me, my head hurts like it's going to blow.

"Work for me, Hyakuya Shiro." he held his hand for me, I just stared at his gloved hand near me.

"I'm sorry, but I don't want to work for someone who takes hostages." i said as i pushed his hand back to him.

"Oh, you're rather working for someone who's giving you a hard time, is that it?" he asked.

My eyes widened, "I have no intention to work for you." i sternly said while clenching my fist.

"I won't accept no as an answer, you see...I have interest on you."

"W-What?"

"You're strong, I would be more delighted to have you fight for me."

'What's with him?' i thought.

"I guess I have to threaten you more to make you join me..." he said.

He freed the boy and girl from the rope as they fell on the ground, I sighed as they already freed them.

"If you join me, I'll return this these two to were they belongs. If not, I'll conduct a public execution for both of them."

"P-Public execution...?"

I turned my head and saw those two crying while on the ground, I could see that they were scared in dying.

"I'll give you a week to decide, during those days, I'm forbidding you to tell anyone." he warned.

'N-No way...just a week?' a sweat trickled down on my forehead.

"You may leave now and come back next week for your answer." he said as he and that blonde girl walked out.

My legs dropped on the ground, i felt my body trembling. "Why is this happening...?" i mumbled.

I heard a laugh as I looked up and saw Shinya-san, "Your in tight spot, Shiro-chan. You should probably join Kureto-niisan if you want that those two lovers to live." he suggested.

"But, if you don't want to. You should let them die."

I stood up, clearly against in his second option. "I don't want to let them die! They're too young—"

"Death is merciless, it doesn't choose people by their ages. If it is your time, it is inevitable to change it."

He cut me off as my eyes widened in shock, he stood up from his seat and tucked his hands in his pockets.

"You hold their future in your hands, decide what will be their fates."
