"Hey Shiro, wait!" Yuu yelled as he grabbed the shorter female's wrist.

"What is it, Yuu?" Shiro asked as she turned around to face him, then she saw her other teammates running up to her in a hurry.

"Are you really going there?" Shinoa asked as the albino haired girl nodded without showing any hesitation.

Then the grip on her wrist was tightened by the jet black haired fellow. "You don't know what that guy has in his sleeves! Who knows what he might do to you." he yelled.

"Even I...!" she yelled as her body was quivering. "Even I don't want to go back to Kureto-san...!" she said.

"Then don't go th—"

"I can't." she said sternly.

Shiro looked down on her feet with fear, "but...he has hostages, people who aren't even related to me. I can't just let them die because of me!"

The grip on her wrist can no longer be felt by her, everyone was silence until their squad leader spoke.

"The Hiragi people are scary people, I told that before. So please be careful."

Yuu turned to Shinoa who was shocked, "Shinoa!" he hissed.

"What is it, Yuu-san? Are you gonna let those hostages die?"

He clammed up, not knowing what to say. "it will be probably hard to but, do your best!" Yoichi cheered.

"We're here for you, don't hesitate to call for help. It's not easy to shoulder everything." Mitsuba said.

"If that 'Kureto' guy touch you, I'll beat him up." Kimizuki vowed.

Shiro smiled. "yes!"

Yuu knew that he doesn't have any chance to not let her get away, so he sighed and ruffled his hair.

Shiro looked at Yuu's way as she seem to be looking for answers to him, after seconds of looking, he sighed.

"Do whatever you want." she smiled happily as he finally approved.

"However..." his sharp eyes locked with her gentle red eyes, "you better come back in one piece, if you don't..." he paused.

He put his gloved hand on her hair as his gaze was still on her.

"I'll stick to you annoyingly close."

Shiro giggled as it made him confused, looking up to him, she smiled. "I don't want to be annoyed so I better come back, safetly."

"O-Oh, I see..." Yuu gnashed his teeth as a vein popped on his forehead.

'I pity him...' everyone thought as they looked at the oblivious Shiro and snapped Yuu.

"This sight is making me cringe," Shinoa commented as Mitsuba nodded in agreement.

"H-Hey! Isn't there a limit in how a person can be that dense?" Kimizuki argued, "I guess Shiro-san doesn't have a limiter." Yoichi chirped.

"I better go now, who knows what will happen if I'm late." Shiro said.

"Be careful." the lilac haired girl warned as the albino haired girl nodded. "see you later!"

Shiro started to run to the small, cramped place towards the darkness of this structure. They could only watch her be eaten by that darkness.

"We should better go back." Shinoa spoke as the girl who just ran was finally out of sight.

The other nodded as they walked out of the place and wait for their teammate in the entrance.

'I got a bad feeling about this.' i thought as my guts were telling me not to proceed further.

However, because of my foolishness, I didn't listened to my guts and go forward. Not clearly aware of the bad occurrence that will happen later.

Casting my worries aside, I reached the room that I found suspicious. There I saw the person I was looking for. His skeptical eyes darted towards my small form as it made me halt.

"You're finally here, Hyakuya, no. Yukimura Shiro." he emphasised my former last name clearly.

"W-Where are those two?" i asked.

"In the chamber, their waiting for your answer." he said with his voice that was so thick as cold ice.

He walked up to me, still has that devoid emotion on his face as his very image towering me immensely.

"You have two choices: work for me or they die." he spoke stoically.

"What will you choose?"

Silence. I gave him my silence for awhile as I clenched my fist tightly, then I looked up as I gathered the courage to be blunt with him.

"Neither. I won't become your servant or I'll let you execute them."

"What an ominous answer indeed."

'This man...is the worst.' i thought.

"Come." he spoke as he began to walk somewhere, I trailed behind him because I was nervous of what he might do to me if I won't comply.

We were currently at the library, he walked up to the shelves as his foot stomped on the floor. Then the hidden door opened in front of us.

He casually walked in as I did the same, we walked downstairs as I suspect that it was an underground basement, perhaps?

"U-Um...where are we going?" i asked as he didn't answered.

'How tight-lipped as always.' i thought as I continued walking.

'H-How scary...' i thought as i felt my face grew pale. We finally reached the place that he was taking me.

The place was consist of dark colours such as the wall was painted a dark contrast of blue as the flooring was black and then the weird sculptures placed through the place.

It was giving me goosebumps as sudden, this place was also with little light, the darkness is here is more subdue that the light. I hate the dark.

I was confused in what Kureto-san was looking at since earlier, turning my head to that spot as my eyes widened in fear.

We were standing in somewhat stage as beneath the cockpit can be seen two people, no, I could hardly believe their humans. It was like back then when I was captivated in the laboratory.

"Please stop it!" i said as my teary eyes looked at the sharp needle from the injection that will be implanted on me.

I began to struggle as shackles on my wrist and ankles were restraining my movements, as if no matter what struggle I do, I won't be able to break free.

Soon enough, the needle was injected to me, the pain spread in my veins as it started penetrating.

"It hurts..."

Tears stream down my face as they continued experimenting me, no matter how I cry, they just won't stop.

"I'm scared..."

Fear started to clung along my heart making me more desperate.

"I just wanted to be free..."

I heard a voice calling me as I snapped back to reality. Looking up, I saw Kureto-san gazing at me.

"What is that?" i asked as my index finger touched the glassed wall, it was pointed at the two humans.

"The two hostages," he inquired as my eyes grew widened. 'they look way nothing than before...don't tell me they did something to them?'

"What did you do to them?" i asked sternly, he huffed. "experiment."

'There's a high probability that they went through the same method as mine.' i thought as i clutched my gloved hand tightly.

"I'll ask you again: what will you choose? Work for me or let them die."

I bit my lower lip as I couldn't make my decision, yet I decided to tell him what I'm currently feeling right now.

"Forgive my bluntness but, I'm not interested in working for you nor I would want to let them die."

I saw his nose twitched, I could sense that his angered. "what would you do if I find your answer tasteless?"

"I will fight." i sternly said, he was taken back to my answer and yet he just shrugged it off.

"I dislike fighting, but if its the only thing I could do to save them. Then I will fight you." i said, clearly.

"Fine, then." he huffed as he held his sword in his gloved hand. "however, I don't have any luxury to spend more time with you." he said.

'What?' suddenly, the floor that I was stepping on, flipped as there was nothing beneath my feet.

Gravity pulled me down as I wasn't able to act quickly, 'a trap!' my body was falling in the free fall.

"Instead...fight those demons."

I screamed on top of my lungs as I couldn't stop the speed of my landing, I could only pray that there isn't any traps beneath this hole.

Matters later, i fell on a cemented floor with a thud. "that hurts..."

I massaged my head as I slowly sat up, then my eyes slowly opens as it grew widened.

'This sensation...' i thought as i watched the two demons looking at me intensely. 'no doubt has a huge bloodlust blunt in it...'

I slowly stood up on my feet as my gaze was still on them, the moment I laid my eyes on them, I knew that they weren't...humans anymore.

"They are human experiments launched by the Hiragi family, that immense strength of yours...I want to see both sides' powers." i heard Kureto-san yelled from the top.

'How irrational.' i thought.

"Don't go easy on them, brat. You'll die if you do..." that was his final warning for me.

This is a Do or Die situation right now, I wanted to save these two from themselves, but I guess...

...I'll be doing the exact opposite.

In a blink of an eye, I felt something grabbed my neck as my back was threw on the wall, making it blew.

I could feel the lump on my neck as i grabbed the male's hands, 'h-how strong...' i mentally admitted.

"This isn't enough to kill me." i pumped my fist as it went through his stomach. He grieved in pain as his grip on me was no more.

Swift fully, I distanced myself to both of them. "y-you hurt...my d-darling, die! You filthy human!" the female demon rushed up to me.

She started throwing multiple blows at me as I either dodged or blocked every attack, 'what an amazing brute force.' i thought as there were lots of wounds and bruises on my skin but luckily, they were healing.

Then I jabbed her stomach as I also kicked it making her fly to the wall, 'she was unexpectedly light to kick, same goes to the other demon earlier.'

"Unforgivable..." both of them muttered as I was confused.

"SINNERS MUST DIE!" they both let out a grievous scream as it began to gnash in my eardrums.

I covered my ears as I could feel my body weakening, 'w-what's happening to them?' i thought.

In my surprise, there figure began to change into something terrifying. I could only stare at the ominous view in front of me.

Both of them collided and turned into a huge demon, my legs fell on the ground as fear gripped my heart.

'They are...monsters.' i thought.

"Those two were a failure as the container of the demon blood. Probably it rejected them." Kureto-san said as my eyes grew widened.

'Demon blood?' i thought.

"We've captured lots of children to bare the demonic blood, however, most of them couldn't stand the hellish pain and so they end up dying."

I gritted my teeth as his gaze was only on me since the start, his stoic face turned into a devious one.

"But there was only one human who survived the hellish pain and was able to bare the demon blood...that miracle was you, Yukimura Shiro!"

Yes. I had a blood of a demon running coarse through my veins, I was first experimented when Guren-san came to save me and Yuu from the vampire reigns four years ago.

I was able to become this strong after all of those horrible experiments, even though I hate pain, I have no choice but to accept this demon.

The huge demon in front of me swung its fist towards me as I extended my hand to stop the blow, instead it was altered and sent to the walls and floors.

"I dislike fighting, but I have no choice." i said as gathering all of my strength on his one punch.

Its face cracked as it launched all the to the ceiling, the place began to crumble from the immense shockwave.

'I might have gone overboard, but at least now...' i thought as i panted.

That punch...I put my everything in it, that was my limit. Don't judge, I might have a demon blood coursing in my veins but I'm still a human.

"Don't you think that it's over, brat!" my eyes widened as the demon stood up, however its wounds weren't regenerating anymore.

'No way...I can't fight anymore.' i thought as I felt my limbs numbed.

The fist of the demon swung towards me with a huge killing intent, "this is it, you cocky brat!" it yelled.

My wounds may be able to regenerate but, my strength cannot. Its common knowledge. "n-no..."

I closed my eyes shut, waiting for the impact that was suppose to come next until I heard a familiar voice.

"Fan-out! Asura-Kannon!" my eyes widened as i saw flying red flames embedded on the katana towards the demon.

Then I also witnessed blue flames and green arrows flying, 'these attacks, Yuu and the others are here?!'

Suddenly, someone appeared in front of me as I looked up and saw Yuu. "you sure are in a mess."

I croaked out a giggle, "i screwed up." i said with a irony laugh.

Then the demon fell on the ground as they finally took care of it. "why are you guys here?" i asked as i stood up.

"Yuu-san is really worried so we had no choice but to comply him~!" Shinoa-chan chirped.

I turned to him as I saw a redness on his face, then he adverted his gaze from mine. 'i-is he angry..?'

"Ha! Who is worried about her?" he huffed, still looking away.

"You of course!" Kimizuki-kun said to Yuu as he slapped his back.

"I think I have to disagree with that." Mitsuba-chan said as we turned to her.

"We're friends, of course all of us were worried." she finished as Yoichi-kun nodded, agreeing with her.

My cheeks grew warmer as I was about to say something when we heard someone clapping, we turned to where the sound was coming from. It was Kureto-san from up high.

"How ominous your friendship is, that's why all of you are...weak."

"Huh?! I can't hear you! You better tell it clearly!" Yuu sarcastically said.

"Yuu!" i hissed.

However, he didn't seem to pay attention to that, hence, he wasn't irritated at least one bit.

"We shall meet again, Yukimura Shiro, farewell."
