And here you thought I wouldn't manage to get it out on saturday, what a dweeb. Im Shida, I always come in clutch, specially when it comes to Dr. Yukimura the Science Guy.

Hi folks, I'm here to review card games but not quite but quite yes. Ah yes, remember when I said I was going to review stuff like Fairy Tail, Magical-senpai and Black Clover? I remember it too. I promise that one day, I will review something that isn't card game related.

AIght some a few months back, before the world went to shit and schools began closing left and right, tests existed and my fellow CCEU author and bro Fox had to take them, but studying was boring because of course it is. So what was the best way to make study interesting? Write about it. But how? With what characters? You get the smart and the dumb and boom, main cast completed.

Ok ok, speedrunning aside, I had fun with this. Back when the original run was coming out, I found the tales of Yukimura and Nora studying for midterms very enjoyable and hell, I even learned somes tuff from it (that I now don't remember). It was because of how much I enjoyed these side stories that I began reading the Dr. Stone manga instead of waiting for season 2, which then lead to me creating the title of ''Dr. Yukimura'', which was a joke at first but then got adopted as the actual title. 

So Dr. Yukimura's main focus is teaching science through Yukimura and Nora, with Yukimura being the relatable dumb dumb and Nora being the teacher. The volume is split into eight parts, with the climax of the story being the midterms. At first, there isn't much extra content, but as the story prorgesses, bits of story are added to expand ont he Generations worldbuilding. You get stuff like the danger of Class A Shimada, you get the saido chesto mado saientisto who's so cooru, you sonavubish Ike-sensei, you get Bitch and her lesser bitch friend and you also get some extra Yuuto and Yukina interaction. 

As per usual, Im gonna go over the main characters of the volume 1.5 because those are the easy part to do in a review and I need to finish this within the next eight hours.

-Yukimura Fudou

Ah yes, Yukimura. 

Y'know, when volume 1 released his Side Story, I wasn't very keen on Yukimura. While I do agree that some people deserve a punch on the face, I think that breaking a guy's legs was going too far.

But he was a damn drity ikemen so the bastard got mercy if anything.

Aight, if there's one thing I love about this story is Yukimura. Yukimura became a fan favourite of mine as the story progressed and it reached a point where my name on the CCEU discord server was ''Yukimura's #1 Stan'' because goddamn, I love his character. Yukimura is a true protagonist and I prefer him over Yuuto.

As the story develops, Yukimura grows as a person and begins to take a serious interest on science. He's easily the most relatable CCEU protag so far since he's a dumb teenager, we're dumb teenagers, he learns to be better, we learn to be better. He gives his absolute hardest but yet he fails in thend, making him fall into the fallen hero trope. Ironic considering that his character design is absed on Naofumi and that there is a Bitch in the story. 

His character interactions are also very enjoyable, specially when it comes to Nora, Mitsuba and Alice, be it his ruffian and nerd broship with Nora, his beauty and the beast relationship with Alice or his ''hey bro lets peep on some anime girls'' broship with Mitsuba. When it comes to the first volume of Generations, it lacks a thing that volume 1.5 nails perfectly and that is character interactions. When you have Yuuto has the main character, the only interactions you'll get will be with people like Yukina and Nora because of his loner attitude, and even his interactions with Nora arent that interesting. On the other hand, you have Yukimura, who's his own ''social butterfly'' and interacts with more than one person (and said person is still underdeveloped, give the damn girl some character).

However, I have a gripe with Yukimura. One that I noticed on the second read because it wasnt a thing back during the original run. What do I mean? Well, yous ee Timmy, Yukimura is a fucking simp. He's trying to score a good grade to lay the pipe on Alice, thus making him a simp. There are moment where he isn't simping, like when he defends her from Alice from Class D and during the fight with Shimada, but sometimes, his simpness outclasses his genteness.

But other than that, Yukimura is a solid protag and a solid character, and without a doubt my favourite Generations character.

The Nora being a trap memes were fully embraced, I regret nothing.

You know that anime pannel of two grown women wanting to bang a little boy? That's his character arc during the story. He's just trying to get better because of his inferiority complex, but Bitch and Suzuki don't let him, specially Bitch.

Nora, my guy, remember these sacred words: bros before hoes. That damn hoe Bitch is trying to seal off your bros, don't let it happen. You're a precious friend of the man Yukimura, so don't fall for the Bitch. Don't be the Motoyasu to Yukimura's Naofumi.

-Mitsuba Jun

Gacha gods, don't fail me now.

Goddamn, this second run fo Dr. Yukimura made me love Mitsuba so much, he's such a personal favourite of mine from now on.

During the first volume, Mitsuba was the ''Oh, I like high rarity'' guy, the joke was that should Mitsuba vs Kaido happen, Mitsuba would be flexed to death, and then when the original run of Dr. Yukimura happened, he was the ''Capitalism wins'' guy. But then come the second run, which makes him such a loveable character. I dont get it why Arashi hates him, Mitsuba is more developed than the characters Arashi has on the story.

Seeing this poor man lose to Kawaguchi's kawagucci high roll broke my heart, the poor man didn't see it coming.

This guy is a fucking genius for all of the wrong reasons and I love it, he's a true anime character.

Give Mitsuba a chance, he's the best.

She's the heroine Yukina should have tried to be.

This lovely lady becomes such a good character in this story, I just want to protecc her from that cunt Shimada.

Ok, so, french girl. What could she possibly do besides becoming Yukimura's love interest and make him simp for her?

She becomes an actual character.

It's not a joke that Fox isn't the best at developing female characters (and lets be hoenst, neither am I, Cookie rules on that territory), so I really enjoyed seeing Alice get the development she has. It wasn't much, but it beats Yukina's spam of ''Yuu-kun'' and whatever her SS was.

While on first glance her wish for Yukimura's improvement comes from wanting to make Class E better, what seals the deal is the Shimada fight. For me, the moment she swooped in to protect Yukimura is the moment where her feelings for Yukimura are set in stone, with either she liking him or her love for him starting to blossom. While we dont get much of YukiAli after the Shimada fight, what we do get before it is wondeful.

Also Fox, Im going to break social distancing and go vibe check you after that backstab. How dare you make the Shimada fight happen and not have any YukiAli moment after it? I'd take Yukimura apologizing for not being able to protect her or he asking if she was okay some time later, he'd take whatever boen you'd toss at me for this, I just wanted a conclusion to this beautiful love.

Remembder the times on Spiral Soul where the joke of Kaido wanting to buy the island to behead Yuuto in public was said?

Now I want him to buy the island to behad Bitch in public with Yukimura stepping in to give her mercy and legally change her name to Bitch while her nickname with her friends becomes Slut.

Fuck this Bitch, she's actually the worst. I wont even call her by her name (I also dont remember it).

I yearn for true gender equality. If a woman treats a man badly, then he can treat her baldy as well. If a woman hits a man, it's his legal right to clap her afterwords. Basically, Im all for Yuuto and Yukimura to become best buds and lynch this bitch.

I originally didn't like her. She was the lesser Bitch.

But then the swimming pool arc happened. While she treated Yuuto harshly, I think that she wanting Yuuto to not tell anyone about the notebook was wholesome and I hope they can become friends someday.

I mean.

You were fine. While I didn't enjoy Yuuto the most during the main story, I liked him during the swimming pool arc. The moments with Mitsuba were weirdly wholesome.

Honestly, he was fine. I hope he can become friends with the likes of Yukimura, Mitsuba and Tanaka.

However, I want you to go to the prison in GEN with the boys. Mitsuba, Yuuto, Tanaka, Yukimura and either Aki, Kawaguchi or Nora form the CCEU's own Prison School cast.

You're still underdeveloped.

The moments with Yuuto were cute.

I still ship Yuuto x Suzune and now ship  Yuuto x Suzuki.

Also fuck you Fox for making her sound like the sauce number girl. It was still too soon, I was still in my crippling depressiong phase. The thirty pounds of Chika dancing havent been completly injected into my brain yet.

Summertime: Not the best Madkid song in my opinion but Fox knows more about this than I do.

Yeah well Cookie already used FAITH as an OP and I'm using it as the final Ryuuga vs Gin theme, it's a train of music stealing and not a big deal.

Now, I wanted to talk about something else related to this story, something on a more personal note.

Originally, my plan was to go into retirement after finishing writing Spiral Soul, but Dr. Yukimura made an impact on me. It showed me how fun a side story without Vanguard could be. I had fun reading it (probably more than Fox had fun writing it because studying). It gave me the inspriation I needed to one do some side stories related to the Spiral series, such as stuff with the Heiwa Royalty, maybe something five years later with Ryuuga's brother Izuru or even the Kaido prelude.

Honestly. Dr. Yukimura is a personal inspiration for me.

Now putting this abd boy into the Shida Waterfall In My Pants Meter, this gets a solid 8/10, give me more YukiAli moments, legally change the Bitch's name to Bitch, make me love Suzuki more, give Mitsuba some more screentime and give us the Prison School OVA.
