Today is Friday October 6th and you were bouncing in your seat with excitement as you waited for the bell to ring, so you could go find Law.

You stare at the clock on the wall as it ticks ever. so. slowly. As soon at it hits 3:15 the bell sounds. You shove your book in your bag, then toss it over your shoulders and run down the hall, pushing the double doors open and going down another hall.

You see Law before he sees you as he is coming out of his classroom. You lunge at him, nocking him to the ground. Lucky for you this was in a small building with not a lot of people in it. Law wraps his arms around you as you hug him tightly.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAW"

You kiss his cheek before pushing yourself off of him, and helping him to his feet.

"Thanks (y/n)-ya"

"Sooooo we should go back to my place first so I can grab your gifts, then you pick a place to go eat... my treat birthday boy."

Law chuckles at your excitement on his behalf. "Okay, sounds good"

Law had just bought a car with the money he had been saving up and now he took you to school in the morning and dropped you home at night. You tried to avoid your home life at all coasts.

You knew your parents would be drunk and start in with the insults on how your not smart enough, or how you needed to lose weight. Sometimes just outright calling you stupid.

When you pull up to your house, you sigh before grabbing the door handle. Your stopped when Laws hand grabs your shoulder.

"Do you want me to go in with you (y/n)-ya?"

"No I'm just gonna be quick. Don't bother turning the car off!"

"Okay, please hurry. I hate when your home. I worrie about you so much."

"Thanks Law" you lean over and kiss his cheek. "Your a great friend"

You open the door and run into the house. You don't stop to say anything to your stepmom as she sits in her office. You rush up the stairs and toss your backpack on the bed and grab the two packages on your desk.

When you turn around to leave, your stepmom is standing on the doorway, drink in hand.

"Where do you think your going?"

"It's Laws birthday, so I'm taking him out."

She nods and hums as she looks you up and down. "You should really lose some weight (y/n)."

God here we go

"Ya, you tell me that all the time."

She lifts her shirt to expose her stomach. "Look I'm skinnier then you, and I'm old."

Your heart chips off at each insult. Soon there will be nothing left of you except a hollow shell of a broken women.

"Can I go please, Law is waiting for me?"

She steps aside and you brush past her. She grabs your arm, stopping you. Her grip tightens as you try to pull away. "You better not get pregnant (y/n)."

"Laws just a friend, and I'm still a virgin, not that it's your business!"

She lets you go, and you race down the stairs as the tears threaten to spill. You take a deep breath before you walk out of your house, so Law won't know anything happened.

You force a smile as you get back into the car. Law knows something is wrong. Your smiling, but your eyes give you away everytime.

"Everything okay (y/n)-ya?"

"Yup, great" you lie

The only time you ever lie to Law is when it's about your parents. He knows only a small amount of what's happening to you.

"Okay birthday boy, where do you wanna go?" You ask as he pulls away from your house.

"Huum, how about we go to Prime Time. We can eat some pizza and then I can kick your ass at lazer tag, bowling, go carts..."

"Hey hold on... who says your gonna beat me at everything?

"Me"

You both laugh as the car approaches your destination.

"Okay, do you want your gifts now, or after we leave?" You ask as Law turns the engine off.

"Now's good!"

You lean over into the back seat to retrieve the gifts, giving Law a good view of your ass in the process. Neither one of you knew the other had developed feelings, and we're both to afraid to confess. If you didn't have Law, even just as a friend, you would have probably killed yourself by now. He was your salvation, but you couldn't risk rejection, and lose him forever.

Law had lost to many people that were close to his heart, and if you rejected him, he would lose you too. Losing loved ones so quickly, so soon had broken him, and he couldn't handle any more lose.

Once you retrieve the two items you sit back in your seat properly. A huge smile graces your lips as you hand him the first box.

You wrapped it in black and yellow paper since those were his favorite colors. He carefully removed the paper so he didn't make a mess in the car. You took it from him and tossed it in the backseat to be worried about later.

You watched his face as his slinder fingers removes the tape that held the box closed, and pulled the flaps back. Inside was a white and black spotted hat with a thick bill. Law stared at it for a minute before he spoke.

"How did you? When did you? Thank you (y/n)-ya, it's just like the one my dad gave me when I was a little kid. I had to get rid of it just before we met, due to damage." He takes it out of the box and runs his hand over it.

Your smile gets bigger, if that's even possible. "I saw you with the hat on in a picture on the wall in your hallway. I thought you might like a new one."

"Your an amazing friend (y/n)-ya!" He states as he places the hat on his head. "There how do I look?" He asks as he removes his hand and meets your gaze.

"Perfect" you whisper, getting lost in his beautiful gray orbs. You shake your head and shove the other gift into his chest. "Here, open the other one now!"

This one was in a simple black gift bag. Law pulls the yellow paper out and sees some kind of clothing at the bottom. He removes it and you take the box that's still in his lap, along with the bag and toss them into the backseat as well.

Law examines the coat in his hands, and when he turns it over... a single tear escapes his eye and rolls down his cheek. You reach up and cup his cheek, wiping it away.

On the back of the coat was the name Corazon. That was the name of the man that adopted Law after his parents died. Law was very sick, but Corazon adopted him anyways, and found a cure for Laws illnesses, saving his life before his very own brother shot him in cold blood.

"Thank you (y/n), I love it!" He says with a shaky voice. Law leans over and pulls you into a tight hug. He kisses your cheek as he pulls back.

"You welcome Law. You mean so much to me, and I wanted to do something special for you."

"You defently achieved that!"

"Thanks" you smile real big again.

Law pulls his hoodie up over his head, removing it so he can wear his new coat. It fit him perfectly, just like his hat did.

All Law had on under it was a tight tank top that you could see his toned body through. You bit your lip, as you became aroused just from seeing this little of his body. You could only imagine what would happen if you ever saw him naked.

"Okay, you ready?" Laws voice pulls you out of the daze you were in.

"Ya let's go in"

You order your food and find a table. You eat and laugh as you tell jokes and he tells you more about Corazon. How big, and clumsy he was. How he got on Laws nerves all the time, but Law loved Cora-san very much.

You spend the rest of the afternoon playing all the different types of games they had to offer. You both have never had so much fun.

You notice it's getting late and if you dont go home soon your gonna be in big trouble.

"Can you stay with me tonight (y/n)-ya? It's Friday so no school tomorrow!"

You smile at your friend and pull your cell out of your purse. You dile home and put the phone to your ear.

"Hello" your stepmom answers.

"Hey Sue, can I spend the night at Beccas house tonight?"

"I thought you were with Law?"

"I am, but he's gonna drop me off over there if you say it's okay. Law has some medical school stuff he has to finish tonight."

"I don't care. You can stay till Sunday if you want to."

"Okay cool, I'll see you in Sunday then!"

You hang up and turn to meet Laws gaze.

"Looks like you got me for two days!"
