As the day ends, Aimi sits on the student council room alone, looking over some paperwork. As the lyrics begin, she looks at the window behind her.

Itsumo sasaete kureru hitotachi ni
Higorono omoi wo kometa rhapsody e

Aimi appears in the middle of a hallway in the school, watching as Minami walks past a corner. She steps forward, as if reaching for her, and appears in another hallway.

Appreciation no kimochi yo todoke
Itsumo arigato hontou arigatou

In the new hallway, Aimi looks to the left, seeing a suited man walk past a corner, and then to the right, to see a woman in a lab coat do the same. Aimi closes her eyes.

Tatoe doko ni itatte kimi no sonzai ni
Kansha shiteru yo

Aimi opens her eyes in a new hallway, this time watching as Izuru walks away and disappears into a light.

Tasogare no machi ga akaku somaru koro
Nanigenaku michi wo aruiteita

Aimi walks through the school grounds until she reaches the area behind Heiwa's main building, where a younger Aimi is being pushed into a wall by three other students. Aimi closes her eyes again.

Ikikau hitono mure ga masu gogo
Nantonaku tachidomatte mita

As Aimi opens her eyes, the scene changed into the younger Aimi, on the ground, reaching out for Izuru's hand, which creates a blue chain linking their chests together.

Potsuri to aita kokoro no sukima
Umeru youni ugoita keitai no manner
Kimi wa hitori ja nai hora mina

Izuru walks past Aimi, each step he takes making another chain come out from his chest and make someone appear on its opposite end, first being Tate, then Chika, then Minami, then Yumi and then Ban. Each new chain makes the chain between the younger Aimi and Izuru crack.

Tagai ni sasae atteku no sa

Aimi looks back to see Izuru looking back at her, the chain connecting the two being almost non-existent. She takes a step forward to reach out for him, but he begins walking away, shattering the chain connecting the two.

Aimi watches the sunset from the riverbank all by herself. She looks to her left, where Izuru stands.

Appreciation no kimochi yo todoke

She reaches out for Izuru, who disappears as she touches him.

Itsumo arigato hontou arigatou
Tatoe doko ni itatte kimi no sonzai ni
Kansha shiteru yo

Aimi frowns upon seeing Izuru disappear, but soon is shocked by the real Izuru placing his hand on her right shoulder. She places her hand over his and smiles.
