"So he really caught you?"

"How were his hands?"

"Is he strong?"

I keep getting questions thrown at me about what happened this morning. So far everyone in our group knows about it, even Natsu wants to know what happened. Note to self: Never tell Lucy anything. I glare at her when I eat my food, but all she does it laugh at me. Gray comes and sits next to me, "So this Zeref guy, caught you from tripping on your face." I nod as I eat my salad.

"Why is everyone making a big deal out of it?"

I shrug my shoulders, "it's only because Lucy and Levy are making it into something bigger than it is."

"That's true, they do like the paint the story with a little color."

I push my lunch to the side and rest my head on the table, I refuse to answer the questions people are asking me. "Gray, why do girls love to gossip?" He raises an eyebrow, then looks up to ceiling. "Cause you guys are bored with your own lives, so you need to talk about others."

"Makes perfect sense."
I grown into the table then sit up once more. I look over to Lucy who's talking the ear off of Natsu. I'm not sure what she's saying but it seems like Natsu is getting lost by her words. "Natsu, why did you never talk about your brother? Are you embarrassed by him or something?"

For the first time in all of lunch, it's gone quiet and everyone looks at Natsu. He shifts in his seat, he rubs the back of his neck looking for a way out of this. "It's complicated, he was gone for awhile for...personal problem."

Personal Problems?

"What does that mean. Did he murder someone?"

Levy glares at Gajeel, who quickly shuts his mouth. I can tell that Natsu is getting uneasy, but he's not gonna get out of this. He let the cat out of the bag.

"Natsu, what did he do? Where did he go? You gotta tell us now."

"Gray's right. You can tell us. We're your family really. You can trust us."

Lucy grabs his hand and gives him a gentle smile, Natsu reacts to this, but still seems hesitant to say anything. "I-I've said to much as it is." Everyone looks a little disappointed on not hearing about Zeref's absences. I check my phone and see that I still got sometime to read in my special corner. I stand up, grab my bag and say bye to everyone, well those who are paying attention. Right now, they're watching Natsu and Gajeel doing an intense thumb war.

I go to my secret spot, right under the stairs. What I like about this spot is, I'm almost like a shadow to people who pass by me, but I'm able to watch everyone and hear everyone. I only come over here for one reason to read. I sit on the floor, pull out my book and start reading. I didn't bother to listen to my music, but I wish I did.

About 10 minutes into my book, I heard talking, I couldn't make out who it was or what they were saying but I could tell it was between a man and women. Who is that? I closed my book and followed the voices. It was coming from inside the storage closet. I pressed my ear up to the door.

"You don't talk very much do you. I like that in a guy."

"Why did you drag me in here?"

"Don't talk to me like that. Do you know who I am. I can make your high school like a living hell."

Wait is that Ultear? Who is she talking to?

I lean into the door to help hear who the other voice was. "Look, did you have reason for bringing me in here, I got other stuff to do that doesn't bore me to death." At that moment I knew who was in there with her, "Zeref..."

I was about to move away from the door, but it opened up and I feel on the floor at their feet. I looked up to both of them, looking down on me. I felt my face heat up quickly and my whole body start to tremble from fear. Oh my gosh. I saw Ultear eyes turn dark and her whole face turn into a sadistic smile. "Hey Mavis, didn't anyone tell you that its impolite to ease drop~

"I-I didn't mean to."

"Get up."

We both look over to Zeref, who hasn't changed his expression at all. He still looks bored with this whole thing. "What?" Now his face is plastered over with annoyance, he picked me from my shoulders and placed me back on my feet. "Thank you."

He turns to Ultear who looks confused over what just happened between us. "Are we done here?" She's stunned by his dark tone to give him an answer right away, he moves past her and grabs my arm, pulling me along with him. "What are you doing." I get no response from him or where he is taking me. We turn down a hall that has no one in it. He pushes me up to the locker and places his hands on each side of my head.

"What are you doing?"

I heard my heart in my ears, he started brining his head closer to my own. I didn't know what he was going to do, but I didn't feel scared. "You need a bell around your neck, so that why I can always find you." What is he saying?!

"Are you worried about me?"

"I could really care less on what happens to you."

His words are hurting my heart, it's like knives dipped in venom. I felt that familiar sting you get in your eyes when the water works are about to start. He moves his head away from my eyes and brings his lips close to my ear.

"If you want to have a peaceful school year, I suggest you keep your distance from me."

After that he leave me alone in the hall. I slid down the lockers, to the floor. I replay his words in my head. Stay away from him? Can I even do that? I let out a sigh and hear the warning bell ring, good thing I have a free period next.
