This situation is pretty... "Lit"

Flash.

Flashing strobe lights surrounded the clearing Dipper stood in, forcing him to put a hand up to his eyes as it was bright and blinding from every side.

Bill, who was at least forty times the size he usually was, rose up from behind the green trees, glowering down at the scared boy.

"No one's going to know, kid," Bill spoke in a loud, thundering voice, the treetops (and Dipper,) trembling. "If you tell anyone about that mark of yours, you WILL regret it."

Dipper nodded desperately, hugging his journal to his chest with a deathly tight grip. But he dropped it suddenly as though scalded and jumped away from it, the old, tattered book beginning to emit a faint orange glow and a strong, smoky scent.

The cover and pages had caught on fire.

Dipper watched in horror as his guide to Gravity Falls' spookums and paranormal beasts was burned before his eyes. Bill crossed his arms from above, the starry night sky rapidly changing to one with a darker tint to it, clouds circling up and covering the ominous orange, green and violet sky colors. Lightning flashed and thunder rumbled, hurting the young boy's eardrums.

"Make it stop!" He yelled up to Bill, his voice becoming drowned out by another clap of thunder, lightning that followed shortly after, illuminating his petrified facial features. Of course, the demonic triangle either didn't hear him, or he completely ignored him.

One particularly unlucky tree was standing just tall enough to be struck by the next bolt of lightning, its trunk cracking as the electricity shot through it. The tall pine gave an unceremonious groan, starting to lean to one side, its branches erupting into flames.

Dippers eyes widened as he began to back away from the center of the clearing, the burning tree just a bit to his right. He fearfully noticed how the flamed tree was being pulled to the earth by gravity right to where Dipper was standing. The boy cast a glance at the crisp, ashy journal which sat simmering on the ground and he started to run to the forest behind him.

But, Dipper seemed to have disregarded the fact that as the tree was slowly deciding its descent down to the ground, it was catching the trees around it on fire. Before long, the whole clearing was surrounded by smoke, sparks, and flames licking the ground.

Dipper coughed, unable to see or breathe in the heavy smog, making his way to where he thought was the opposite side of the open grounds, away from the falling tree.

A large creak sounded somewhere above the boy, who was gasping for a fresh intake of clean air, his lungs screaming, his eyes watering.

The pine began to groan, falling in slow-motion, or so it seemed, gradually picking up speed as it raced faster and faster towards Dipper, who was confused at his surroundings, not sure where to turn or where to go to escape. The smoke seemed to thicken, making it impossible to see five feet in front of you or anywhere, in general.

"Pine trees burn, kid."

Dipper searched desperately for a way out of the smoke, the flames all around him as he heard Bill's thundering voice. Dipper was sweating, the heat of the fire exhausting him, his throat dry and raspy, begging him to swallow, but Dipper unable to conjure up enough strength to do so, his coughs scratchy from where he gasped in between breaths.

He looked up in alarm as he heard the trunk splinter and break. The tree was headed right towards him, its fiery branches brightening the smoke as it fell rapidly, bearing down on Dipper.

This is it. He was trapped. There was really no escape.

He'd never see his energetic sister again, who was there for him no matter what, he'd never return to Piedmont, telling his parents of all the adventures he had had in the sleepy town of Gravity Falls. He'd never see Grunkle Stan, that sarcastic, cheating man; Grunkle Ford, the one whom he could always relate to. His gaze would never fall on the nice red-headed cashier girl that he still had a slight crush on, or Soos, the lovable man child, or anyone else ever again.

He took a deep breath as he saw the tree's shadow speeding towards him.

"Every pine tree must fall."

*******

Dipper shot up in his bed, panting, his brown bangs sticking to his forehead as he was drenched in sweat from the terrifying, vivid dream he'd just endured. He was propped up against his headboard, underneath the covers, fully awake as he tried to catch his breath and retain a normal heartbeat, as it was practically thrumming out of his chest. His digital clock read 2:46.

Dipper sat quietly, pondering the surreal fact that he was alive and not squashed by a huge, burning tree. He glanced over to his left, seeing his sister wrapped in her fluffy blankets, sleeping quietly and contently.

They were still alive. All his friends and family. It had all been just a horrid, wretched, twisted up nightmare. Dipper shuddered a breath of relief, falling back onto his pillow, turning to lay facing Mabel's bed. Maybe now, he would get a good six hours of dreamless sleep.

But that was awful hopeful wishing.

Even though Bill had implanted all those scenes in his head, he couldn't help but feel wary about his foreboding warning.

So, wow, hey guys! Here's a long awaited crappy update. You're welcome. Before you go on your way, I'd like to let you guys in on some things.

First of all, I wrote this at 1:30 am. :3 Classic Warriors.

I'd like to get something off my chest really quick.

I actually have no planned plot for this story. Phew! There we go. #Livin'TheSavageLife

Did it seem like I did? Cause I absolutely didn't except for the part where I was like, 'Hey! Dipper should make a deal with Bill!' And that's it.

If you have any ideas as to where I can steer this story to, please let me know!

Oh! And thanks to all your guys' support, this book placed and won in the Gravity Falls Watty's! So thank you soooo much!
