"Do you want to come to the wedding?" Kakashi had asked him with his hands inside his pockets.

"I'd rather stay here."

"Why? Does it hurt?"

Sasuke did not reply, instead he let silence took care of his response.

"Sasuke, have you ever thought of your feelings?"

He stayed still.

Kakashi pressed the topic. "I remember before she would always ask you out and you would always reject her." He looked at the material he was holding inside of his pocket before averting his gaze back to his former student.

But it seems that whatever he says, does not have an effect on the Uchiha.

Sasuke was not replying, but his ears were wide open. With this opportunity, Kakashi took this chance to tell him.

The masked Hatake sighed in defeat. "Remember Itachi?" Sasuke flinched. "He spared your life for you to be happy." By this time, Kakashi had plumped the envelope right into Sasuke's hands.

"I know you've made mistakes in your life. But don't let this one slip into your regrets as well."

Those were the last words that rang inside his head, tempting him to open the envelope.

Sasuke sighed, sliding the envelope in his pocket as he took a long walk before he reached the bench, where he left Sakura before.

He was still confused, to be short. He only knows that Sakura is one of the people that he can not hurt. If he did, he would excessively regret it.

Like what Tobirama had mentioned before, an Uchiha is the one has the most powerful love. And that's why Sasuke was still confused.

Another point for him, he did not make a move as well since he was still confused.

Confused, that is what Sasuke knows up until now.

Just then, his memory flashed back which made him clasped his hands over his face as he stick to sit down at the stone bench.

The times he spent with Sakura came crashing down. The time he refused to go out with her, the time they hung out with team seven, the time he helped her think clearly at the chuunin exams, the time she protected him, the times he saved her, the time she confessed and the time he kissed her before he left.

Yes, she was his first kiss.

What even hurts more? She does not have a clue and she is leaving him now.

Grasping tightly on the envelope, he thought not just twice, but a lot of times whether to open it or not.

"Don't let this one slip into your regrets."

One last reminder and that made him grip the snow-white envelope.

He studied the outer context which had 'To Uchiha Sasuke, From Haruno Sakura' written at the back.

Seeing that text, he immediately rip the paste as he received a folded paper and a copy of the picture of team seven.

Sasuke felt a warm feeling inside his chest once he saw the picture.

After staring at the nostalgic photo, he remembered the past and realized the gap their improvement before he unveil the contents of the letter.

~

Dear Uchiha Sasuke,

You've probably read this after the wedding or days after that, but I just want you to know the truth. This won't change anything either way, but I want you to know that I still have those feelings for you. No, not the fangirl feels-it's way more deeper that I even thought.

I understand that you don't feel the same, but don't worry, I will try my best to at least ignore this.

I've tried. I've tried so hard to let it go-but I just can't. It's like a birthmark and there's no way I can remove it, no matter how hard I try to.

I would also want you to know that I accepted the offer for you to be free. I want you to have your happiness so I want you to get that girl you love, for me please? Good luck on getting her, I'm rooting for you!

Your annoying teammate, Haruno Sakura.

~

"Crap." He muttered in disbelief.

Sakura had stated that it might not change anything, but it did.

Hell, it changed everything.

After reading every detail of the letter, Sasuke had shoved it in his pocket and dashed off.

By just that simple paper, Sasuke was now sure of what his feelings for Sakura are.

That after all this time, he was in love with her. And it took a lot of contemplation for him to come to that conclusion.

The distance from where he was to his destination was rather far since he was practically at the exit of Konoha while the venue was at the other end. So if he run, he could still reach at least the minister's question.

Actually, he did acknowledge his feelings, he only needed confirmation from Sakura that she would return it. And that letter was his evidence.

The beat of his heart was in a fast rate, as fast like the steps he sprinted.

He fastened his pace for every time he stepped the ground.

He ran and ran in a speed of light, as fast as he can. He could drain his chakra by just using his techniques to gain speed, but he did not care. He knew what he wanted. And for once in his life, he should have it.

For every step he took, the weight in his heart would add, causing it to be heavier. He had a gut feeling that this would all be gone once he reached his destination.

It was true that Sakura was the worst in decision-making just like Naruto had mentioned. But Sasuke was always there to turn it upside down.

He was the one who gave her hope everyday.

He was the one who kept on rejecting her which made her stronger.

He was both her strength and weakness.

His one regret was that he should have done this earlier. He should have gave the rose. He should have told her the truth. He should have went to the wedding. So that he could stop her from doing the worst decision of her life.

He should have, but he did not.

If he did not stop her, it was like a piece of him had died and he cannot live with that-he would not want another piece of him to fade like when his family had been killed.

He ran to the wedding and once he reached it, he immediately opened the door.

It was empty.

There were no more decorations, no guests and no Sakura when Sasuke scanned the surroundings. However, an old lady was standing by the corner of the venue. She bowed as she exited the location as Sasuke approached her.

"Excuse me, did you take part of the wedding that took place in here a while ago?"

"My, of course dear! It was the most surprising wedding I have ever been in my entire life, such a sweet groom!" She replied before taking her leave.

Then it was official.

Oh girl, I cry cry,

Just like that, he was too late.

Say goodbye-bye,

His last chance slipped away because he was confused.

Now, another important person in his life will soon be far away-just because he was confused.

Say goodbye.
