Quote of the chapter: "You had a bad day." -Bad day by Daniel Powter
Dedicated to: @ayruhh_nerdweirdo (Advanced Happy Birthday Rara-chaan! :D Thanks for being my friend since first grade and up until now! :3 Lol I know it's not your bday yet but just in case I don't update that day... xD)
ERRORS ARE MINE
BEFORE THE STORY STARTS, THE EFFING NARUTO MANGA IS FINISHED :( :( :( SASUSAKU AND NARUHINA THO <3 I was just at page 5 of 699 and I was already fangirling xD
Yes, I heard a lot of rumors about Sarada looking like Karin. And in my opinion, she somehow has a face like karin but I disagree. I drew Sakura and Sasuke a bunch of times so I'm familiar with their facial structure, plus I compared their faces. Sarada's eye structure came from Sakura though it looked like Karin because of her glasses and sarcastic expressions. The facial strcuture came from Sasuke and Sakura since both of them actually have the same outline of the face to be honest xD Technically, Sarada looks like Karin in some ways but if you look at the overall or compare them for a long time (like what I did) Sarada is more similar to Sasuke and Sakura resembles Sarada through her eyes and hair. Genetics x3

Sakura and Sasuke had been staying in Sunagakure for weeks now and in all honesty, it wasn't as bad as Sakura expected.
Even if all of their time spent together would be in complete silence, they would have small talks with each other. Sometimes Sasuke would occasionally start the conversation and he was showing emotions little by little, unlike the walking icicle he was before.
Sasuke was, surprisingly, following his orders to guide Sakura. Though instead of helping her at the hospital (because he has no idea on what he would do there and fangirls might...you get the point.) Although, Sasuke would always pick up Sakura at the hospital to ensure her safety since it was also a part of his mission.
...
The pinkette propped up in cooking breakfast and Sasuke let her. It was actually a routine for the past few days that Sakura would cook breakfast and Sasuke would cook supper while they have their separate meals on lunch. This was declared once Sakura agreed because she did not want to trouble Sasuke. Why? Because she was still having doubts.
After all, it's not easy to regain the trust that you've earned before if it has been shattered into pieces.
Increasing the heat temperature, she cooked the eggs with salt and limited oil.
Although little did she know that the pan was already as hot as a flaming fire which resulted her to have a burn at her hand.
Once her skin held the steaming pan, she shrieked and immediately let go of the object to which Sasuke noticed.
"Wow. I'm so lucky."
Note the sarcasm.
"Sakura?" Sasuke entered the kitchen at the same time Sakura hid the burn at her hand behind her back.
"I'm fine, just carelessness." Sakura sheepishly answered.
Nodding slightly, Sasuke went back to the living room and sat at the couch as he caught what Sakura said.
A sigh escaped her lips as the burn was suddenly enclosed with a green-like healing aura, gradually dissolving the wound.
When the wound is completely recovered, Sakura set off to cook breakfast again.
...
Once Sakura finished their meal, she placed the food on their plates as they started to eat.
Repeatedly, Sakura felt that pang of worry in her chest and accidentally dropped her knife.
Catching the knife with her fast reflexes due to instincts, the sharp object made contact with her skin.
"Not again..." She cursed silently while she winced at the pain surrounding the long cut that was visible at her other hand.
Taking a glance over at Sasuke, he already had his eyebrow raised. "Something wrong?"
"It's just a cut." A pinch of emerald light shined brightly at her pale hand in which contains the injury.
Sasuke examined her hand, focusing on the cut as it diminishes. "It's bleeding."
As the wound heals, she replied. "It's okay now, see." She extended her arm so that he can take a good look of her palm that was now fully cured.
Shrugging, Sasuke proceeded on eating his meal.
Based from Sakura's current attitude, she is somewhat mean towards Sasuke but it is not because she hates him. She's just having a bad day.
First, it was that time of the month.
Second, she woke up by falling from the bed.
Third, she received a burn thanks to the sizzling pan.
Now, she earned a cut from a knife.
With that realization as a mindset, Sakura knew that something not good is going to happen. She just had a strong gut feeling.

Thinking magically of the dog-boy, Ino sighed in frustration as she buried her face at her hands.
"No." She spoke to herself while she earned her proper composure. "Hoping will not work, got it Ino?"
Then she placed a palm towards here head, burying her face. "Love is just complicated."
"Oi Ino!"
Due to stimuli, Ino spun to her right and saw him running and waving his arms like a lunatic towards her area.
Though she was quite surprised to see him.
"Naruto? Aren't you in a mission with Sakura and Sasuke?"
Naruto stopped his tracks once he was in front of the blonde girl as he furrow his eyebrows questioningly. "No, they are on a mission to Sunagakure."
"And she didn't tell me she was alone with him." Ino's eyes twitched, she was so going to kill Sakura when she comes back. "Why weren't you with them?"
Naruto and Ino started walking when Naruto answered. "I was training with Tsunade-baa chan." He said in a sheepish manner.
"You were training? I did not know that there was training for a soon-to-be-hokage." Ino exclaimed as she exploited air quotation marks with the use of her hands.
While Naruto speaks, Ino took a quick peek of her surroundings and was suddenly paralyzed.
The pain of a thousand darts stroke her heart was inevitable.
Ino saw Kiba with a girl.
Holding each other tightly.
As they kiss.
"Well, it was true when Sakura-chan said that Tsunade baa chan was strict and scary bu-" Naruto paused when he realized that Ino freezed.
He shook his hands in front of her face from left to right. "Hey, you okay?"
Ino broke the trance from that sight as she felt her eyes about to pop tears and her heart falling apart, but she would not let Naruto see her in that state.
The girl with an aching heart blinked thrice as she gave a fake smile towards Naruto. "I'm fine, I just remembered something...I need to go, see you around Naruto!" She dashed off to particularly nowhere as long as she got off the scene and stay far away from Kiba and whoever that girl was.
"W-Wait, Ino!" Naruto shouted but to his dismay, Ino pursued in running away. He followed to where she last looked and saw the same landscape as Ino did.
He recognized the girl was named 'Kazuno' and she has been Kiba's friend ever since she switched to Konohagakure as her homeplace which was a year ago.
Naruto may be dumb, but he's not stupid. He knows how Ino feels for Kiba, though he just chose to keep it to himself. He also did not chase Ino because he knows that she needs some time alone.
Once he noticed the scene, he made a face with a mixture shock and disgust since it was live. "...I just saw Kiba kissing a girl...gross."
...
Ino broke down at the ground once her legs gave up on her. She knows that Kiba does not like her that way, though it still hurts.
Why does life have to be so mean? Why did she fall in love with a boy who couldn't return her feelings? Is it that hard?
It hurts so much that you like him, but he likes someone else.
She knew that Kiba somehow has feelings for 'Kazuno' but she did not expect that to happen. Or may be, she was not ready to accept it.
She was not exactly overreacting. She did liked him for two years or more now and it may even be considered as love than like, but then reality defeated fantasy.
Tears overflowed as she just sobbed, letting all of her sadness out.
Sakura was absent in presence because she was on a mission while Hinata and Tenten were busy with their own schedules or in terms of teaching Rina.
Specifically, she has no one to comfort her when she needed it.
On the verge of misery, she heard words advised.
"You know, training grounds were made for training not crying."
\\..~**~..//
"SHE'S DEAD?!"
Not all the time you will be surrounded by a jubilant atmosphere. Life will always have ups and downs no matter what generation it is. Because of that, you will really experience excessive happiness or extreme hurt at least once in your lifetime.
Similar with Sakura's state, she is currently undergoing a cruel event.
"You call yourself a doctor and you can't even save my daughter's life?!"
"That's enough, imouto-san!" The eldest man stopped his sister's rants as the woman ceased her shouts and began crying. He did not hesitate to become her crying shoulder as he wrapped his arms around a broken woman gently. "Forgive my sister Sakura-san, she is just in the state of depression. Thank you for trying to heal my niece."
Ending his last statements, Sakura returned a gloomy smile as he left with his whimpering sister to which he was still comforting while they walk away.
Once they were out of sight, Sakura dropped at the floor and leaned her head at the wall, allowing herself to let misery and melancholy burst.
One of her patients, specifically named Dara, just died due to severe sickness that was too late to heal because it was cervical cancer. Even though her age was only seven or eight, she received that sickness but not knowing the cause nor how she got it.
Ever since Sakura started her shift at Sunagakure, Dara was the only patient that she developed a close bond with Sakura since she sees her daily and was a very nice and open girl. It was sad that she did not get to live long in this world.
However when death entered, the mother blames Sakura (in dejection) because the mother claims that she did not do her job to save lives as a doctor. But the mother was not aware of Sakura's feelings nor how Sakura was affected at the grievous situation.
Being a doctor, it would be obvious that Sakura would feel dolour or sorrow. Especially in her case, she was the doctor and she was assigned to cure the little girl's disease though she failed. She would feel excessive guilt because of that.
Endless tears were strolling down to her cheeks as she thought about Dara.
Life is just so cruel.
Standing up with all her courage, Sakura wiped off her tears and started to walk to the nurse's counter with a gloomy face.
"Sakura-san! Your next patient is already out so you may go home early." One of the nurses advised as she gave a slight smile accompanied with a nod before going to her temporary office and took off her coat with a sigh.
After fixing her things and getting her bag, she took her leave to rest. The chakra that she has was almost out after all the patients she treated in which Dara was considered the last patient.
It was around seven o'clock by the time she was on the way back to the house. Her mind was clouded with thoughts about Dara. She was so young to have that disorder and she did not deserve it. She was one very kind and open girl who just wants to love.
Sakura remembered one of their conversations when Dara's eyes was unsealed at reality.
>>FLASHBACK<<
The little girl was staring oddly at the plain ceiling as she stayed in laying down at the comfy bed.
At the same time when Sakura was fixing her patient's medicine, she noticed Dara's off-behavior. "What are you thinking about?" She took a quick glance over Dara's direction as she replied softly.
"Ne Sakura-san, what does it feel to fall in love?"
Sakura was caught off guard by the sudden question, almost dropping the clipboard she's holding. "Why did you think of that?"
Out of all the past few days that Sakura had spend with Dara, it was the first time that Sakura saw her with the glimpse of hurt and dull in her eyes. She sat beside the bed with a hint of worry.
"I always read love stories and all of it are happy endings but why is mommy crying when she thinks of daddy?" By now, Dara was already weeping.
Her father died when she was still a baby due to a S-rank mission. Ever since she was diagnosed with cancer, her mom let her read fairy-tale books so that she would at least see the happiness in love than feeling the painful truth of it.
"Your mommy just misses your daddy which is why she cries." Sakura gently wrapped her arms around Dara in comfort as the younger female dug her head at her doctor's shoulders. She waited for Dara to calm down and for her to stop crying. "But your daddy will always be in here -she pointed at Dara's chest- in your heart."
Dara smiled warmly in which Sakura returned.
"Mommy said that all girls are princesses." Dara wiped her tears with the use of the back of her hand as she explained further. "Does that mean we have princes too?"
Sakura nodded with her grin plastered on her face. "Of course." She was still a kid after all and it is important for patients to dream or hope."
"Yay!" Dara cheered as she coughed, automatically Sakura rubbed her back and gave her a glass of water to drink. "Thank you."
The pinkette smiled brightly. Treating children was one of her expertise.
"You still didn't answer my question." Dara pouted as she relaxed, leaning comfortably at the bed.
"What question?"
"What's it like to fall in love?"
"I never felt to be in love." She lied. And even a 7-year old kid could point it out.
"Yes you did!"
"Nope." Sakura denies, playfully.
"But I saw a mister who always walks out the hospital with you!"
Damn this kid is good
"Ne, what does it feel like?" Dara's lifeless eyes seemed to have drifted away in just a snap, replacing it with eyes full of sparkles.
Sakura panicked inside. She remembered the time wherein Sasuke left her.
What does it feel like to fall in love?
"It will hurt you like hell with the feeling of being alone inside a room with a flying cockroach coming loser to you or you would feel weapons strike your heart even though it really didn't."
She wanted to say that, but she cannot and will not.
Instead, she sighed with no choice. "It was heart-melting because that person would cheer me up when I was sad, assist me when I need help and it was like a fairy-tale."
What she said was true though, Sasuke cheered her up indirectly when she was having doubts about joining the chuunin exams and he was always there when the enemy has set Sakura as a target (with Naruto's participation) however she was talking about the old days, team seven days. It was indeed a fairy-tale, because she was now blinded by reality.
"Is he your prince?"
Scratching the back of her head, Sakura thought about the times he almost killed her. "I-I don;t think so..." She answered with a sweat dropping her forehead.
Dara pouted once again. "Aww..." She echoed then her lips formed into a wide grin. "I hope you'l find your prince soon!"
Sakura chuckled at Dara's response but was interrupted by a knock on the door.
She faced to Dara before answering. "Let's talk about this next time, okay?"
Dara nodded in agreemenr as Sakura shouted. "Come in!"
>>END OF FLASHBACK<<
(( I noticed that I usually use flashbacks, I AM SO SORRY AND I KNOW IT'S GETTING BORING ))
Upon flashing the memory in her brain, Sakura massaged her forehead with the use of her fingers as she shook her head quickly.
With her mind clouded, she still proceeded on her way home and tried to move on. Keyword: tried.
Since the reminiscence of Dara was still stuck inside her thoughts, the roseate medic was not aware of her surroundings.
"Look, there's a girl!"
"Called dibs!"
"No fair, I saw her first."
"Heeey baby guuurl~"
...?
Just as Sakura heard the mysterious messages and the sound of a whistle, she eyed suspisciously the five men who was blocking her way. She observed them and realized their actions, also their smell.
They are drunk. Drunk as in lunatic drunk.
Not only that, these men are built or they looked experienced in fighting. This means they have skills or power and being drunk also connects to them being competitive. Furthermore, the sun is going down and they were in a deserted place wherein only a few people would pass...this is not good.
In mathematical equation:
Drunk men in front of you + night time + not a safe location + your chakra is drained = deep trouble
Since Sakura know that she was at her limit, she may pass out if her chakra and energy are completely out so she needs to get out of this, fast.
"Wanna-"
Without any hesitation, Sakura knocked out the one who spoke with one strong punch as she rushed off.
"Oi, don't go!"
"Haha she's a tough one."
"Come on, let's go!"
The men commented as they followed to where Sakura sprinted.
Sakura cursed once she saw the two of them catching up with her pace so she ran faster as much as her legs could go.
"You can't get away!"
Due to the men's speed, Sakura got the conclusion to use it as an advantage. She turned her heel as she extended her arms while the two men could not stop because they were too fast. Because of that, Sakura aimed at their abdomen.
"Shannaro!" She exclaimed as she attacked by hitting her fist towards the man's abdomen at her right. The man coughed a little blood though Sakura, then, swifted to the left in order to hit the other ninja. She let go of the man she punched, causing him to land on the other drunkard which resulted both of them to be unconscious.
Breathing heavily, Sakura panted however they're were two more. She can feel their presence coming closer and closer to where she is. Cursing once more, she did her best to get away and hid but one of them found her hiding place so she has no other choice but to fight.
Dodging the attacks of the man, Sakura waited for the chance when the man was slowing down. Once she received the opportunity, she was the one who sent the kicks and punches until the man was severely hurt in which he was out of consciousness once his back made contact with the wall.
The last man caught her by surprise because he caught Sakura by her arms so that she won't move. She was so close to victory and finally going home.
Damnit.
She gathered all her strength to hit the man with her elbow since it is the sharpest bone in our body. However more of them, probably their other drunk friends, came so Sakura was outnumbered and she had no more energy left. Plus, the man scooped Sakura into his arms so that she will not escape anymore.
"This will be fun."
Was the last words that Sakura heard before passing out, though the voice was somewhat deep than what she expected from drunkards.
This is definitely a bad day.
