Don't Be Late
Something, or was it someone? Was shaking his shoulder persistently. Some words that his brain didn't want to process just creating some annoying noise. He was tired, and just wanted to sleep! But clearly that wasn't going to happen if this thing had anything to say about it. So with a sigh he opened his eyes, blinking at the bright light that invaded his vision.
Once his eyes finally adjusted, he shifted his attention to the girl standing in front of him. She appeared to be wearing a white blouse with some electric blue outlines along the hems. As well as a medium length white skirt with the same blue outline pattern. Her honey brown eyes gazed into his own eyes, her fear evident. His head throbbed some, as if warning him of a oncoming headache. "Hey uh-" He began, before getting cut off.
"We don't have time for introductions! There was this note on the teachers desk, it says we need to meet up in the gym at 8:00 sharp for initiation! And to not be late. This place is giving me the creeps to since the windows and everything are bolted shut with iron plates and there's cameras...Please, can you come with me? I don't want to wander around alone..." The Brown haired girl pleaded. Fiddling with a strand of her medium length light brown hair.
It took a moment for this to all process in Cody's brain. Windows bolted shut? And with iron plates?! He quickly scanned the room to find that she was correct. Creepy. An uneasy feeling settled in him. "Yeah, sure. How much time do we have?" He replied, quickly getting to his feet.
The pale girl grabbed his hand in an instant, and began to try and lead him. It took him a moment to actually start moving, since he didn't expect this timid girl to do something so bold. However he didn't question it much. "About four minutes!" She answered as she raced down a hallway.
"Four minutes!? I hope you know where your going!" Cody exclaimed, praying silently that she did.
She increased her pace, full on sprinting down the hallway. Cody had a bit of difficulty keeping up with her! "My names Lyric by the way! Lyric Chambers. Ultimate Musician." She introduced between breaths.
It was a relief to see what appeared to be the doors to the gym in sight. The fact that some trophy cases lined the walls hinted to this fact. "Nice to meet you-I'm Cody. Cody Williams. Ultimate Counselor!" He replied, and finally was able to slow down. Together they entered the gym, tired from their sprint through the school. "Woah." He breathed, taking in the large gym.
Some guy with a pink bandana tied around his wrist was jogging laps around the gym. It wasn't until he passed him however that he noticed the rainbow bandanna tied around his other wrist. "Looks like two more of us decided to show up!" He announced. The guy wore a plain blue teeshirt, and some ripped blue jean with dark blue athletic shoes.
This announcement caught the attention of some of the other students, who Cody could only assume to be his and Lyric's classmates. "Now were only missing one more..." A rather tall guy said. His hair was chocolate brown, with dark brown roots. And his eyes appeared to be green with some flecks of brown. A rather plain forest green teeshirt under a plain black jacket, regular blue jeans and black converse. "Names Marik by the way. Marik Sizzami. Ultimate Biographer." Marik said, introducing himself.
Cody gave a small wave, "Cody, Ultimate Counselor." He said, providing his name and Ultimate. Lyric gave him this look, that seem pretty familiar to him. It was like she was annoyed with his sort response or something. He couldn't tell.
"Ich haben Genevive! Wie haben Sie?" Another voice said, from directly behind him. Cody jumped in surprise, however he didn't see as surprised as Lyric. Who whirled around like a startled cat. He spun around more slowly, recovering from his initial shock. The girl that was now before him and Lyric spoke with a almost impeccable German accent, he couldn't tell if it was fake or not. She had tan skin with devious red eyes. Was she wearing colored contacts or something!? Her height seemed to be about 5'4, and her hair was about medium length. As well as being a mix of dirty blond, light brown, and red. Her attire consisted of a modern light brown tunic and a stylish black jacket. Some black shorts and converse completed her look.
Yet another one of their new classmates came over. "I'm going to assume that you don't know what that meant. If I remember correctly, and I always do, she was introducing herself in German! She said, 'My name is Genevieve! What is your name?'" They explained with a warm smile. Her skin was rosy white and her eyes were a beautiful clear blue. Currently they reflected her amusement. Her hair was around medium length, and cinnamon brown. A soft dark blue and navy blue plaid scarf rested around her neck, and she seemed rather fond of it. She had a light black jacket over a white teeshirt with a lily on it. And a medium length grey skirt that faded to black at the edges. And finally white converse and small blue earrings.
The girl with the reddish blond hair laughed, "I should have expected you to know that, with you being the Ultimate Librarian and all." She chuckled. "Oh, and I'm Genevieve. Ultimate Impersonator. I can almost perfectly impersonate every accent, and most people's voices. Although I do find voices a bit harder to mimic." She explained with a chuckle. She smiled, and that alone filled the room with a positive energy. This was certainly an extrovert to say the least!
The small librarian giggled softly, "And I'm Lily Belle! You can just call me Lily though if you want." She said.
As if they couldn't get even more crowded, the jogging dude from earlier with the bandanna's approached. "Heya dudes! I'm Liam Hickman, Ultimate Athlete. So if ya need any help with training or whatnot I'm your guy. I'm also rainbow as fu-"
Lily raised a finger to her lips and shhhhed the heck out of him. Predicting the next word that would come out of his mouth. "This is a prestigious school Liam! We can't just go acting like that! Plus we don't want to badly affect the class." She scolded.
A sheepish expression passed the man in questions features. "Sorry Lily Belle. Anywho I'ma go see it Corey wants to spar. I wanna see the Ultimate Martial Artists Skills!" He exclaimed, pumping the air with his fists as he shifted from foot to foot with excitement.
Before he could do that however, what appeared to be the school bell rang. "Where is the sixteenth student, Andrew Volt?!" A strange voice demanded over the loudspeakers.
"Not sure, maybe he's still in another classroom, or got lost. I can go find him if you want!" A rather cat like girl offered, like it could be heard over the loudspeaker. The girl in question had brown hair, as well as a red shirt with a golden lion, a medium length black skirt and black shorts under it with some sturdy brown boots. A necklace of a golden lion rested around her neck.
To most of the other students surprise, it appeared that whoever was speaking on the announcements heard. "No, I'll find him myself. Just talk amongst yourselves some more." They instructed, before the intercom blipped off.
'Well that was certainly weird.' Cody thought. "Who's Corey, and who's that girl in the red shirt with cat or lion or whatever it is on it?" He inquired. Lyric was slowly talking more with Genevieve and Lily, and started heading over to a gym wall. Probably to sit down or something.
"Oh, Corey's that radical due with the long shaggy brown hair. Have you see his eyes yet? There the color of dark chocolate! Yum! He also wears this black jacket over a red teeshirt, which has a fabulous skull on it. Beautiful style." Liam replied, pointing to the boy he described. Besides that it appeared Corey had regular blue jeans and black sneakers.
It took Cody about five seconds to chalk up Liam as gay. Not that there was anything wrong with it, he just picked up on it real quick. "And the girl?" He prompted.
Liam nodded before he answered, "Her name is Samantha I think. Ultimate smart person or something. She's braining." He answered, seeming a tad disappointed to get off the topic of Corey. "Now I'ma go see if I can spar now! Up up and away!" He dramatically announced, spinning around and sprinting towards Corey.
"Talk to you later I guess." Cody quietly said, watching him run off. He then scanned the gym, looking for Lyric or someone else he could possibly talk to, when the breath was suddenly knocked out of him, and he went flying. Cody hit something hard, which was followed with a painful sounding thump, and then darkness.
