I had finally made it out of the infirmary,though dad was still there, and was searching for a new apartment. I appreciated my mother letting me live at the old house but I wanted my own place again. I also needed a bigger place because it wouldn't just be me. I unconsciously squeezed the hand in mine as I thought about it. "You alright?" Jay asked as he squeezed my hand back.

"Just thinking. How about this one?" I asked as I held up the apartment guide. We finally picked a small apartment near the manor and headed back around dinner. We sat with my family, the twins insisted on sitting on either side of me so Jay couldnt. Mom thought it was cute how protective they were but made sure they didn't go nuts. Today dad was able to come down and sit with us but he couldn't go home yet. He wore a button up black shirt to cover up his bandaged torso and the limp right sleeve made my heart hurt.

We talked and laughed while we ate, happy that our family was together again. Mom helped dad eat, he was not happy about it. "Boys I'm gonna need your help moving." I said to the twins as I shoveled a bite of cake into my face. "Oh you found a place!" Kyleigh said excitedly. I nodded smiling. "Where is it?" Dad asked. "It's only about two blocks away." Jay said and I stiffened a little. I hadn't told dad Jay was moving in with me yet.

The twins grinned evilly at me and stood by dad. "Hey old man, Sky didn't tell you," Pheo said. "But Green Bean here is moving in with her." Slate finished. I paled a little as I watched dad eat quietly. He was quiet for a long time and I almost made a break for it. "I want to make one thing perfectly clear." He said quietly before looking at Jay. "If you do anything to hurt my little girl, I will let him," he pointed at Pheo. My doctor brother was known for using his medical skills for torture. "Slice into you and do what he wants before I kill you myself." he said darkly.

Jay quickly nodded. "Yes sir. I wouldn't dream of it." I couldnt help but giggle at the look on Jays face. We set up to have my siblings and mother help me move tomorrow. Jays sister was finally getting discharged from the hospital and he was taking her back to her house. I went home with mom after saying good bye to dad and Jay, wanting to get some rest before moving.

I was so happy the war was over. My family was back in mostly one piece, and there was someone new to join it. I was so happy the fighting was over and that maybe, just maybe, we could live in peace for a long time.
