Chapter 11
{Just because I love you guys so much, this one will officially be the last chapter. I'm gonna make a super cute JayLark chapter}
///Time Skip- Two Years\\\
I shot bolt up right in bed as Kyleigh came screaming into my room. "Today's the day Sky-nii!" she said as she jumped on my bed. Don't get me wrong, I love my sister, but I'm gonna kill her. "I swear to god K-chan..." I growled. She laughed and pulled me out of bed and down the stairs. "Moms almost done, she wants to do some last adjusting." She said as she pulled me into the living room. I was staying at my parents house.
There in the center, was my wedding dress. When I had started to panic because I couldn't find a dress I loved, my wonderful mother said she would make one for me. It was sleeveless and had a sweetheart neckline, with tiny white beads scattered in the shape of lilies on the sides. The skirt was short in the front, barely down to my knees, while in the back it stretched into a long white train. The edges of the skirt were were trimmed in a soft lace. I had white stocking that went up to my knees and a pair of simple white heels to go with it.
I slipped into the dress, not bothering putting the stockings or the shoes on yet. Mom checked to make sure everything fit right before standing back and taking a look at me. "My baby's getting married today." she said as I saw her eyes tear up. "Mom..." I said quietly. She hugged me tightly before kissing my forehead. "Now get changed and I will get breakfast ready. Then we will go to the church." I nodded and carefully got out of the dress.
I put in my tank top and sweats before going to the kitchen. The twins and dad were with my fiancee, keeping him away and getting him ready. Hopefully not killing him. We ate quietly before heading out. Once there we went to a small changing room. I once again pulled on the dress, but this time pulling my stockings on as well. By the time I was dressed my bridesmaids came in. My maid of honer, Kyleigh, was dressed in a soft silver dress that went to her knees and hand elbow length sleeves. All of my brides maids, Mindy Fullbuster, Asuka Connell, and Nashi Dragneel, were in similar style dresses that were a deep crimson.
Mom wore a simple orange dress that reached her knees. I fiddled with my veil in my lap while mom gently curled my hair and my sister did my make up. I wasn't paying much attention, to jittery with nerves to realize they had finished, or that someone had come in. I jumped a little when a large hand grabbed the veil from my lap. "Stop tearing it up." my dad grumbled. He wore a sharp black suit with a silver tie, the right sleeve limp at his side. He had let his hair grow out again, so it was pulled back in a ponytail. He gently placed the veil in my now curly hair before standing next to me. I looked in the mirror and I almost didn't recognize myself.
"You look beautiful." My dad said roughly as he moved some hair off my face. "Thanks daddy." I said softly. "You ready?" he asked and I took a deep breath. "Yeah." he nodded and headed for the door. I got up and followed him, my wedding party had already left. They were lined up outside of the chapel doors in pairs. Kyleigh was with Sorren, Mindy with a very happy Slate, Asuka with Pheo, also overjoyed, and Nashi with Marshell Strauss. I took my dad's arm after grabbing my bouquet and took a deep breath as the music started.
Everyone filed in and when it was finally our turn my dad looked down at me. "You've still got a chance. Just say the word and we will leave." I grinned up at him. "I'm in this for the long haul old man, Gihee." I swear he pouted but then he smiled. "Then let's go princess." We entered the chapel and I immediately locked eyes with Jay. He looked so handsome in his sharp tux and crimson tie. My dad's arm was the only thing keeping me from sprinting down the aisle.
Once we reached the alter my dad looked to Jay, "Remember what I said about hurting my girl." He said quietly. "Yes sir." He said with a smile. He nodded before handing me to him. My dad took his seat next to my teary eyed mother. I didn't much pay attention to the preacher as I held Jays arm, my mind was going a million miles a minute.
"Do you, Skylark Redfox, take Jay Redfield to be your lawful wedded husband, in sickness and in health. For richer or poorer, for as long as you both shall live?" He asked and I looked up at the silver eyes man beside me. "I do." We didn't look away from each other as the preacher asked him the same. "I do." he said.
"I know pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." He lifted the veil from my face and gently cupped my face before kissing me deeply. The room broke out in cheers as we pulled away. "I give you Mr. and Mrs. Redfield." the preacher said. We linked arm and arm and headed for the reception room. Once everyone was in, Aunt Mira walked up to a microphone. "Who's ready for the first dance as husband and wife?" there were cheers and whistles.
Jay took me by the hand and lead me to the dance floor. I was thankful for the heels because I could actually reach his shoulder. Our song began to play and we twirled around the dance floor. "You look stunning." he said quietly, making me blush. "You don't look bad yourself." I said smiling. I laid my head against his chest as we danced, sad once the song had ended. "Now a father daughter dance!" Mira cried.
My dad came up as well as the other fathers with daughters. Natsu and Nashi, Alzack and Asuka, Mindy and Gray. Even mom and grandpa. My dad put his arm around my waist and I put my hands on his shoulders. We danced quietly for awhile before he spoke. "You know, this isn't the first time we danced together." He said quietly. I quirked an eyebrow. He nodded. "We had the three of you before we were married. I danced with you at our wedding." he glanced at mom as he spoke. "Really?" he nodded and smiled.
Once our dance was over it was a mother son dance as well as a dance for Jay and his sister Mary. She was very beautiful and tall with long green hair. I smiled at the pairs, Mira and Sorren, Marshell and Evergreen, and the twins were dancing with mom. As the song switched Jay made his way back to me and dad went to mom. He held me close as we danced and I couldn't help but smile. I could never be happier than right now. I looked over to my parents and had to stop as I watched them. They danced so beautifully and the way they looked at each other, you could feel the love between them. My dad looked at my mom with such a soft kind look, one he saved for her.
I smiled and danced with my husband again. "Bouquet toss!" Mira called after a few more songs. The girls gathered and I turned around. I tossed the flowers back and I heard scurrying and some squeeling. I turned and saw a blushing Mindy holding the flowers. "Garter toss!" I blushed bright red as I sat in a chair in the middle of the dance floor. Jay grinned at me as he knelt in front of me and gently grabbed my leg. My face felt like it was on fire as he kissed my knee before pushing up my skirt slightly. There were people whistling and hollering as he grabbed the garter with his teeth and he slowly pulled it down my leg before taking it off. He flicked it over his shoulder and Slate caught it.
We danced some more before it was time for us to go. Jay grabbed my hand as everyone lined the walk way towards the car. "Are you ready, Shadow?" he asked with a grin. I smirked, "As long as your there Green Bean, I'm ready for anything. Gihee." He smiled and pulled me close, kissing me deeply. He then ran out the door, pulling me beside him. People cheered, throwing rice and flower petals. The twins were aiming giant balls of rice at us but dad slapped them both and I laughed. We reached the car and I smiled as we drove away. This was the beginning of a new chapter in my life, and I was ready for anything the world threw at me. A long as this silver eyed man was by my side.
{This is it my little leaves! The trilogy that started with a blind girl and a crimson eyed man has come to an end! Thank you for sticking through! I love you all!}
