"Right gather around. Huh let's have a look at where we are now." Father says, as he sits next to me.

"We are finished" father says flatly.

We all froze

"What?" Poly asks

"Is this a pep talk? Cause it's a weird one" Yoshi says

"I can sniff defeat like a truffle pig." Father mutters,
standing.
"This can't be the end" stubbins says

"Yeah, I smell it" father said

"We can still save the Queen." Stubbins argued

"Nope" he replied

"We can still save your house" stubbins adds

Father groans.

"I believe in you. We can keep going" stubbins insists.

"Oh yeah you got a point there. Except the journals gone. We have no way to find the Eden tree. And our boat is sunk" father pointed out.

"he makes a strong argument" plim agreed

"Not the time" I said

"On the plus side you are all cured. Chee chee you are brave now. Plimton and Yoshi are getting along. Sort of. Stubbins you've made friends and you can even talk to them. You don't need me, I'll stay here and offer medical services of random bandits and outlaws. The doctors here, seeking new patients. Cash only." He yells

"Lady and gentlemen who would like to dance? I got a bad case of dancing fever so watch out it's infections" a monkey said, dancing.

"Ah can't help him" father mutters

"So that explorer you told me about. She would've never given up. She was your wife, wasn't she?" Stubbins asks

"You wanna know the irony of it?" father says, grabbing his shoulders.

"I don't know what irony means" stubbins admits.

"Irony is when you meet a woman, and she makes your life more wonderful than it could ever be. she gives you a beautiful child, then poof she's gone, and it's all your fault. Leaving you to somehow take care of a child. This journey was my chance to finish what she started. Lily insisted I care for the animals at home, and to stay with Nova. So I stayed behind. He's right, I should've been with her. Now all I have left of her is the ghost I see when I hold our rings." Father said

"So you see her too" a voice says. We all turn- grandfather, standing there with guards.

"Not only did you lose my daughter's journal. And your polar bear, blew up my village. And your gorilla, beat up my tiger. No good." He said, grabbing a sword.

"Let's go" father mutters, turning, but more guards appear. Grabbing Father.

"No no no no no. Irony is me, wanting to kill you with every fiber of my being. But loving my daughter more, and not wanting to leave my granddaughter without a father. I miss her too, she would have wanted you to, to keep going. So! Keep going" grandfather says

"Before I stop feeling sentimental" he adds

"Well, I think seeing your granddaughter after ages might make you a bit more sentimental" I spoke up.

He turns, studying me.
"Nova...you look just like your mother" he says.

He walks towards me. I meet him halfway, and to my surprise, he hugs me. I hug back.

We pull apart.
"I see you found the necklace" he says, pointing the sword at it.

"Learned how to sneak around for mother. Had to make the most of it" I say with a half grin.

"Hmm, good. Well nova. Keep going, finish what your mother started" he said

"We will. But...one thing. We don't have a ship" I say

"Well, I have the perfect vessel for you." He smiled.

We all gather around the beat up ship.
"Bit of a fixer upper. It's got good bones" Yoshi says

"At least it floats" dab dab added

"We'll just have to make the best of it, won't we?"' I smile, father puts his foot on a cannon and it snaps through the wood.

"Oh company!" Someone calls.

"Uh who's that?" Yoshi asks, pulling a cloth down.

"Hi! I'm Jeff." The man grins.

"Well that's something you don't see everyday." I mutter

"Gather around crew, I'm going to give a much better pep talk than father" I said

I take a deep breath.
"We've been in this from the start- together. As a team. As a family. Part of that family is gone, yes- but she's still with us. Right here. We carry on, and we finish what she started. For her. For us.... And to make sure müdfly doesn't win" I said

Everyone cheers.
I glance at father. He's smiling.
"We can do this" I mouth
