After entering, he went and opened the curtains, and paused briefly to look at the rising sun. He moved his hand out to feel the warmth, and feeling the energy coursing through his body, he felt it to be a bit unreal that he hadn't actually slept. 

“I always found it to be a hassle to sleep anyways, finally I can just sleep when I want and not because I need it!” 

And yet again, the System, the one and only destroyer of dreams, poured cold water on his head. 

[Hah, if you want to perform to the best of your abilities, at best you can only go by without sleep for 3 days.] 

Juviel's eyelids twitched, but still found that to be good enough. Though, he was curious as to why that was the case. 

“Why though?” 

[Sleeping recovers mental energy. There are some times where your body has sufficient energy but your mind would be too exhausted to utilise it. The Stamina Recovery you possess is an extension of Physical Immortality, not actual Immortality which recovers both mental and physical fatigue.

Juviel felt enlightened, so that was how it was. It made sense, so he didn't mind the fee for answering it. After enjoying the sunrise for a moment, he moved on and went on to shake Hua awake. The sleepyhead didn't even wake up after sunlight shone on her face! 

“Mmm.. 5 mins..” 

Hua groaned and murmured, from the looks of it, this was how she was going to be after every time they become intimate.. 

“Cute.” 

But he found it cute, so he decided not to try to change it. 

“Hua, it's almost time for school. Wake up!” 

It didn't take too long for her to get up while rubbing her eyes, seemingly trying to get the sleepiness out. Juviel chuckled at the sight and dragged her over to shower.

“Eh? Your eyes are better now?” 

Hua had been a bit lethargic after waking up, so she didn't notice at the start, it was only after the two entered the bathroom and started taking his clothes off that she noticed that he wasn't wearing a blindfold anymore. 

“Yeah, my eyes healed faster than I thought. Now I can wash your back!” 

Hua turned into a blushing mess and couldn't even talk properly, but in the end they managed to get cleaned up within around 15m. After they got clothed and got to the living room, they noticed Kalsfer waiting for them. He decided to let her keep driving the car. 

“It is a bit hard to not be awkward after I saw her like that..” 

So he kept control over his emotions during the whole trip to school, and after dropping Hua off and giving her a farewell hug, he returned back to the car. While they were on the road, though he felt awkward, he decided to have a talk with Kalsfer. 

“Kalsfer, you look beautiful in that maid outfit, but I think you'd look better in a black dress- Woah woah relax!”

Juviel nearly face-palmed after understanding what came out of his mouth wasn't casual talking, instead it was flirting! Kalsfer nearly crashed the car! Her face was beet red, although he couldn't get Favorability Points from her due to her not being a Salvation Target nor one of his Valkyries, he understood that she was very happy. 

“A tad bit too happy though..” 

“T-Thank you Sire, I will wear a black themed maid outfit from now on.”

“She's so cute, brav.”

He almost couldn't help himself from taking Kalsfer there and then, especially when her Trust for him was at 99%+, so she'd happily agree. 

[I agree that she is cute, but leave it for another time.] 

The System's comment allowed his rationality to win and managed to control himself. Afterall, he still had an appointment with Elysia to train her. This would be the second day too, he couldn't afford to leave a bad impression on his one and only student. 

[Besides, that girl seemed to be happy just for getting complimented, isn't she too easy?] 

The System spoke with a bit of resentment, maybe it was his imagination but the System recently started being jealous. 

“Nah, she's like this only when she's with me. It's different.”

[That is true, I allow it then.]

‘As if I even needed your approval’, Juviel silently muttered under his breath. Thankfully Kalsfer wasn't looking at him at the moment, otherwise she would have been able to read his lip movements and know what he was saying. 

[You!] 

He ignored her grumblings and waited patiently until they returned back. The trip back was serene and peaceful, neither of them said a word to each other. He didn't try meditating because Kalsfer actually didn't have even a hint of Honkai Resistance. 

He had yet to figure out how to get that solved, but did have a temporary solution. 

“We have returned, Sire.” 

Kalsfer's soft voice brought him out of his thoughts and he smiled. 

“Thank you, Kalsfer.. And for the next few months, don't take any missions. Just stay in my place.” 

This was the temporary solution he could come up with. If she went on missions, it was more likely that she would stumble onto a Honkai beast or Honkai infested areas. So he decided to simply have her not do any instead. 

“You don't need to worry about the money either, I'll provide for you.”

Only after the words came out of his mouth did he understand that another meaning could be implied. As expected, her face went red like a tomato and she only nodded. 

“.. Mn.”

Feeling helpless, he decided not to correct the misunderstanding. Wouldn't he be an idiot to correct a good misunderstanding? Having already said it, he decided not to say anything else. 

[.. You womaniser! Are you playing with her feelings?] 

“The hell, no! What gave you that idea? Didn't you hear me say ‘I will provide for you’ to her? I wouldn't say that to prostitutes! I do like her!”

Juviel looked at the floating panel speechlessly, wondering why the System was being so jumpy today. Then he had a sudden thought, 

“Could it be.. Are you on your periods?”

It seemed the System was so angry she didn't even say anything, instead only sent an emote. 

“Wow, now you can send emotes?” 

[Hmph. 🔪] 

Juviel felt cold sweat drip down his forehead at that emoji, so he decided to back down. 

“Fine fine, I'm sorry.” 

[💯] 

Juviel's eyelids twitched and ignored the System. He got out of the car and after patting Kalsfer's head. It was a passing thought he had when he was patting her head, but he took a glance at the small panel that appeared once he touched her head. 

[Trust Percentage: 100%.]

Juviel's eyes widened before his expression returned to normal once more. To say he wasn't pleased would be a lie, and to say he wasn't expecting a reward from the System would be a lie as well. 

“So, do I get anything?” 

[Yes, a loyal girl that's willing to die for you. Is that not enough for you, you pig?] 

Though he felt speechless, and wanted to refute it, in the end he didn't have anything to say. Noticing his silence, the System spoke up once more, but was a bit more gentle. 

[I do not want to incentivise you into becoming hedonistic like that. If I were to keep rewarding you for making women trust you so much, wouldn't I become the Supreme Harem System instead?] 

Juviel stifled a laugh when he heard that, but he understood what she was trying to say. The Salvation Targets were people that needed to be saved, and to save them he needed their Trust to be at 100%. And even then, he had to take full responsibility for them, though the System didn't mention it, he was sure there was a penalty. It wasn't the same as simply acting out of his own desires. 

“But why must their Trust reach 100% to be saved?” 

[It allows me to interfere with their Fates much more easily. And your guess regarding the penalty is correct. If you had treated any of them badly, I would have imposed a very severe punishment.] 

Juviel felt warm, as he knew she had his best interests in mind. From the very beginning she has always had his best interests in mind. 

[As such, I hereby forbid you from going after non-Salvation Targets/Valkyries. With the exception being Kalsfer as her Trust had reached 100% before the ban.] 

He froze, even wanting to refute it, but when he recalled what she said about preventing him from becoming hedonistic, he sighed and didn't have the heart to refuse. 

This was for the best anyway. 

“Haa.. Fine.” 

[?? Why do you sound so disappointed? You do realise the Salvation Targets and Valkyries alone are girls that anyone would sacrifice themselves to have, right?] 

That made him fall into thought, he indeed did think of that before but he took it for granted. So it was only after she mentioned it specifically that he realised it was indeed the case. 

Whether it be Hua, or Fu Hua, or Aponia, or Elysia, or Yae, they were all amazing. Probably the best he had ever seen. 

“Guess I am not missing out on much afterall.” 

[But of course, if you kept stretching yourself thin with irrelevant people, you would barely have enough time! We still have a world to save!] 

He nodded seriously as he understood what she was saying. She wasn't saying Kalsfer was irrelevant, rather what she was saying was that if he kept going after people other than the Targets/Valkyries, his growth would stagnate and slow down. By the time the later Eruptions arrive or the Cocoon does something, he might only get a bit stronger while the Cocoon would have prepared who knew how many contingency plans against him! Realising that, he sincerely thanked her,

“Thank you, System.”

[Hmph. D-Don't misunderstand or anything, I was just doing my duty!] 

Juviel chuckled at how she returned to being a tsundere and decided not to comment. She helped him once more, so he decided to let her off and not tease her anymore. 

He looked downwards and saw the fidgeting Kalsfer, 

“Hm.. I'll think of a solution for her Honkai Energy Resistance problem later.” 

He told Kalsfer to be careful before he headed towards Elysia's apartment.  

Kalsfer stood where she was for a good solid minute before she smiled beautifully and skipped all the way back to the house while humming a joyful tune. If someone was nearby, they'd also hear her speaking very quietly, 

“I did it! Sire has finally noticed my feelings for him!” 

… 

Back to Elysia's apartment,

He stood outside the door and knocked on it 3 times, then knocked 2 more times, and then 1 more after exactly 3 seconds. This was the signal both him and Anika had agreed to. 

It didn't take long before a petite girl with blonde hair opened the door, she was still in her pajamas. But what stood out the most was the dark bags under her eyes. Juviel felt a bit guilty, feeling like he had caused this. 

“.. What happened?”

Anika looked at him like he was her saviour, and ran over to tackle him with a hug, then started crying. 

“Sire!!! That girl, how can a human being be so energetic!?” 

Anika still remembered as Elysia held her hands enthusiastically and had her act as a guide throughout the apartment. She didn't mind being a guide and all, but that wasn't enough! 

After giving a tour, she even felt a bit thirsty but couldn't stop to drink water as Elysia had asked her about whether there was a story behind this apartment or not. 

And would you look at that, the apartment actually did have one. But every apartment would, except who in their right mind would look into why an apartment was made unless the apartment looked shady? 

It was Anika. She thought it would help to know about the background of where they were staying before living there.. And that was the beginning of her nightmare, the origins and story of the apartment were so long that she had to keep talking nonstop for a whole hour!! The place wasn't small by any stretch of the word, so the tour also took some time. 

By the time they were finished exploring the place, it was already around 12 in the afternoon!! Even she felt tired! Especially since she hadn't slept even a wick that day! 

Thinking that she had better stamina then normal people as an elite assassin, she thought Elysia would like a break too. But she didn't!! Instead she appeared even more energetic then when they began the tour! 

And then, Elysia started asking questions about Juviel. Anika wasn't sure whether it would be appropriate or not to tell Elysia about anything she had asked, but decided to tell a few things on the basis that Elysia was her Sire's student. 

She immediately regretted it.
