Elysium: Poor Welt
“Why so surprised? I know Aeons are strong and all, but is it that big of a deal?”
Juviel heard the poor uncle's chair falling twice already, so even he felt a bit embarrassed to continue. After all, he had already met Terminus twice, and had quite a good relationship with them too. Although Aeons are beings at the peak of everything, surely people must see them occasionally since they have followers, right? Terminus was quite friendly too!
Unbeknownst to Juviel, the Aeon Of Finality Terminus was the Aeon with the least chances of making an appearance. That was because this Aeon travels through the past nonstop, how was it even possible to meet them? If so, how rare would it be to meet them in the present?
Welt, feeling exasperated at how nonchalant Juviel was about the matter, decided to explain patiently before asking about the situation back home..
[“Haa, young man, the total number of beings that have seen Terminus can probably be counted with one hand.. Even then, most likely none of them had a conversation with the Finality!!”]
Now Juviel understood the significance of the matter completely. Noticing his silence, Welt took it as him contemplating on what he said so Welt added with a bit of worry,
[“Don't tell anyone about it, otherwise there will be many that would go after your life.”]
He felt warm at the concern, no wonder the System said this man was deserving of the title ‘Hero’, even though he only got acquainted with Juviel today, he was already willing to keep such a big secret that could be sold for a lot of wealth for his sake.
To get hands on one of the few people who talked to the Finality? Let alone the IPC, even the Genius Society would be tempted. So what about the other superpowers of the Cosmos?
Of course, he knew none of this so he simply felt happy to be cared for. No wonder he was saved as ‘Uncle Yang’ in March's phone. He decided to just keep the contact as it is. Welt's doubtful voice brought him out of his thoughts,
[“But are you sure you are fine? They appeared directly infront of you!”]
Juviel chuckled and shrugged it off,
“I'm fine uncle, Terminus just wanted me to deal with a Stellaron, which popped up near our Solar System and disrupted Terminus’ travel routes.”
Juviel continued his back breaking onslaught unknowingly, and poor Welt nearly jumped out of the Express the moment he heard there was a Stellaron near his home! Although he didn't doubt Kiana's abilities, before he had left, he noticed that she seemed to have started sleeping longer and longer than before; it was uncertain whether it was a side effect of her powers or something else.
So it was quite possible that she would not notice the Stellaron unless someone informed her. However, nobody else knew about the Stellaron so who could inform Kiana? By the time they find out about it, the Stellaron would be on Earth!
As such, how could he not be panicked? Thankfully the young man's later words made him regain his composure, if an Aeon hired him, then he must be reliable.. However,
[“Tell Ein and the others to wake up Kiana!”]
He believed that Kiana was more suited to handle it and face less risk.
Juviel raised an eyebrow, Kiana? Ein? Who are these people?
As if on cue to his thoughts, the System started explaining.
[Kiana Kaslana, one of the strongest entities in the Cosmos, only being beneath the Aeons. If she were to fight Aeons, she would not lose outright.]
His eyes widened in shock, he experienced firsthand how overwhelming Terminus’ mere presence was, and that wasn't even an attack oriented Aeon!
“He has such a powerful ally?”
[Yes, however she seems to be facing some unknown issues and tends to sleep every time she uses her powers.]
“That's.. Disturbing, someone as powerful as her has weird limitations.. By the way, who are the others uncle Welt talked about?”
[Lieserl Albert Einstein, one of the brightest minds of the Current Era and has achieved feats equivalent to the Einstein of your world. Later on she achieves greater feats. The others here refer to his allies, the likes of which knowing would be of no use to us.]
Juviel nodded, even this much information from the System was unexpected. What he was actually the most surprised about was the fact that this Einstein was a woman, and how capable she was.
“By chance, could she be single?”
[...]
The System refused to answer, so he was forced to return to the topic at hand. Coughing, he quickly recovered due to his thick skin and continued talking to Welt as if he didn't just ask such a weird question to the System about his ally.
“Ahem, uncle Welt, relax, a friend of mine was passing by and she dealt with the Stellaron.”
Hearing this, Welt's tense nerves relaxed and he managed to finally sit on the chair. He smiled in relief and was very grateful to Juviel's friend. Unfortunately for Welt, the Current Era does not have the allies he used to know; a small issue caused by the System.
[“Thank you, young man. You are truly a hero from the previous era.”]
Welt chuckled after saying such a line, he didn't think he'd even say such words but those words were indeed the most suitable to refer to those of the Previous Era that fought against the Honkai.
But then Welt paused, hold on. If Juviel was from the Previous Era, how could he have a friend capable of dealing with a Stellaron? Welt started thinking intensely and reached a conclusion that made his eyes bulge.
Was his friend Kevin Kaslana?
They had only dealt with the one in the present and now the one in the past was popping up!?
But just as he was about to inquire about the identity of Juviel's friend, his phone suddenly hung up and he saw a small notification appear saying: ‘Out of Trailblaze Fuel, ultra-long distance call has been cut.’
Welt glanced at his phone and felt as if he'd been bamboozled by the Trailblaze. He recalled the difficulties caused by the leader of the World Serpent and he felt a headache coming.
…
“Hn? Why did the call suddenly get cut? Eh out of Trailblaze Fuel? How do I recharge this?”
[You have to travel and explore the unknown. Unknown in your case would be places you never went to.]
Juviel had a thoughtful expression on his face as he nodded, feeling a bit adventurous already. But then he recalled the Cocoon and his fiery spirit of freedom got doused, reality hit him hard. He'd first have to deal with that thing before he could travel to places.
Noticing his slightly gloomy mood, the System decided to say a few words of comfort.
[I will issue quests that allow you to go out of the Solar System, however I'll need the Traveller's Proof as the main component to accomplish this.. Can I use it? It is yours, afterall.]
Before the Traveller's Proof could vehemently voice out it's refusal, Juviel nodded excitedly despite not fully understanding what the System was referring to by 'components' and what she was making.
“Sure! But first let's get back to Acheron, better not make a lady wait for too long.”
The System, feeling very happy with receiving such a valuable component, err, device, didn't mind him heading over to have a chat with Acheron. Although the System saw Acheron's fate, it was very blurry and if she wanted to see it clearly she'd have to sacrifice a bit of her Origin to temporarily get back to her peak. For her, instead of a soul she now possessed an Origin.
At the moment, she had around 30% of her Origin left. She could slowly recover it through the help of SP, but due to the increasing amount of troubles, they'd been forced to use up SP to get by.
So she decided it wasn't worth checking on Acheron's exact and definite future. But then she recalled that Acheron was very powerful, if she was left unchecked, Juviel's life might be in danger.
The sheer amount of Nihilistic energy that lingered as a result of her slash was sufficient for the System to understand she was a force to be reckoned with. So after some inner struggles, the System finally decided.
Fine, let's see her future and while I am at it I'll check if she's a person of good nature. I won't let random vixens stay near him.
[Shake her hand, but don't use Abscond on her if you still want a chance at her heart.]
Juviel nodded and went up to Acheron, feeling a bit apologetic. She was the one who wanted to share contact information to begin with, and he instead made her wait.
“Sorry for the delay, let's exchange contact information.”
Acheron didn't seem to mind and nodded, then a few moments later they exchanged contact information and she felt a pull from the gate she stepped out from previously. She could remain if she wished to, of course. By simply obliterating the gate, however, she didn't have much of an incentive to stay in a random corner of the Cosmos.
“May we meet again.. Young warrior.”
Juviel didn't panic, it wouldn't be wise to force her to stay. Besides, the System would later issue a quest for her, so there'd be more chances. So he nodded seriously and reached out his hand, to which she looked at curiously, wondering what he was doing.
Noticing that she was a bit confused, he explained that it was just a handshake. She smiled and found it a bit silly, however she still shook his hand as a parting.
It took all of his willpower to not use Abscond on her. Thankfully, a ding from the System made him feel relieved.
[Ding!
Analysis has begun, analysis will take a maximum of 3 seconds. Please maintain physical contact with her for 3 seconds.]
