"Mom, you guys don't have to watch over him for a few days, we can bring him along with us." Jeno once again mentions.
Mrs. Lee sighs and hands over Jisung to Woozi, who automatically takes the little boy in his arms and walks out to another room for a moment.
"Jeno, honey. I've told you it'll be okay, you don't need to worry about Jisung for a few days. He's safe with us, you and Jaemin can go have fun in your honeymoon." She states.
(A/N: idk what specific place smh)
She held Jeno's shoulders and squeezes them gently, as if to reassure the protective boy over his baby being left behind to stay with his parents while the newly weds are away.
"But mom–"
"Honey, I know how you feel. I've been there before, I'm your mom after all." Mrs. Lee cuts him off, emphasizing her words.
Mr. Lee beside her nods in agreement, "yeah, you don't even know how many times she scolded me whenever I watch over baby nono in the office." He recalls.
Jeno blushes at the old nickname in embarrassment while Jaemin behind him– who's been silent, smiles and coos silently.
"He almost got smooshed between the elevator doors while following you!" Mrs. Lee glared at her husband who scratches his neck by the memory.
"Anyways, what I'm trying to say is, we got this. Besides, your mother knows what to do," Mr. Lee smiles crookedly at them.
His wife scoffs and crosses her arms, "yes, so if Jisung almost does something you didn't want him to do, it's all your father's doing." She said.
Jeno blinks before his mother goes back to reassure him, "just go have fun in your honeymoon." She nudges him lightly.
"What about Jisu–"
"Oh Jeno, darling, it's a honeymoon. You clearly don't have to bring your child with you and your husband." Mrs. Lee said, discreetly mentioning Jaemin as she glances at him.
"Just come home with a new one for Jisung to play with." She boldly continues.
"MOM!" Jeno shrieks with his face turning beetroot red, he then hears a small snicker from behind him making him blush even more.
"I'm just saying," shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly with a calm look.
Mr. Lee swallows back his upcoming laugh to spare Jeno's red face. "My sweet little boy, there's literally nothing to be worried about. Jisung is with us, it's like– any other day you let us bond with him."
Jeno looks down a little and mumbles, "I'm just worried... This is all so new to me..." Fiddling with the hem of his hoodie.
Well– Jaemin's hoodie but his parents doesn't know that.
Before you think of anything– no, nothing happened last night. Jaemin secretly wanted to save the moment for their honeymoon.
He just got really cold this morning because the temperature of the water he showered with was cold, apparently something happened to some of the condominiums' shower temperature.
(A/N: went through this and had to stay in bed, in my burrito blanket.)
So he's not the only one who's freezing, alright?
Oh and Jaemin wanted him to wear one of his hoodies anyway, so that kinda backs up Jeno's reasons.
Mrs. Lee softens and hugs her only son tightly, "I understand, honey. That's normal for us parents," she gives a kind smile.
"But trust me, or trust us. We'll make sure Jisung is okay while you two are out," she repeats. "And if anything happens, we'll call you." Adding a moment after.
"Anything?"
"Anything." She nods.
Pursing his lips, Jeno glances at his husband behind him and walks closer and places a hand on the younger boy's lower back.
"Jen, I, as Jisung's biological father, agrees with your parents." He starts off, "this is the moment we have time for ourselves, alone. Just us two, like... A date, but as a married couple."
"Believe me, take this chance to bond together more. You might not have this opportunity a lot later on, especially with the merged companies." Mr. Lee mentions.
Humming, Jeno's mother gives her son a look. "You two will be busy, might not have time for each other and sometimes for Jisung."
At the mention of his son, Jeno began to worry again. But before he could say something, Mrs. Lee beats him to it.
"But I know you two will try to make time for him, I'm not saying it's a bad thing because you two aren't neglecting him," she rolls her eyes jokingly.
"All I'm saying is, you'll eventually get used to it. It's scary, I know, you love Jisung so much. But he'll understand later on, he's going to start kindergarten soon, isn't he?" She said.
Jeno nods his head mindlessly, thinking about everything and little Jisung going to school for the first time.
"Yeah..."
"He's growing up, Jen. And I don't think you have seen what we've seen, but Jisung is a lot more wiser than you think." His mother enlightens him.
The two boys unconsciously smile softly, hearing a sweet compliment about their son.
Having those weird mother instincts, Mrs. Lee doesn't stop reassuring her son about little Jisung. And she can't blame him, that's parenthood for you.
"To make you happy and hopefully a little relieved, we'll call you every day and night until you two appear right on our doorstep again."
"That way, you'll be updated on every little thing Jisung did on each day. Besides, I'm sure he'll miss you two as much as you will." She giggles.
Jaemin wraps an arm around Jeno's waist and pulls him to his side, pecking the younger boy's temple as the said boy was thinking.
"Alright..." He finally gives in, looking at all three of them. His gaze then fell on the suitcases near them and rolls his eyes.
"Hubby?" He soon calls, instantly earning Jaemin's attention.
"Hm?"
"You better promise me to have a family vacation soon when we're all not busy." Jeno lightly threatens.
Jaemin laughs in amusement and easily nods, "of course, sweetheart. How could I never?"
Mr and Mrs. Na couldn't join them today as they were having a hectic week. However, they did send them a sweet little message before they fly off to somewhere to spend their honeymoon.
All of a sudden, Winter enters the room and froze for a moment, staring at them with Karina calmly walking up behind her.
Once her eyes set on Jaemin and Jeno, she huffs and gave a glare.
"What are you two even standing around for? You're about to miss your flight!" She scolds them, making everyone in the room– except herself, laugh.
