Penny has a similar look to green lanterns costume, although her costume is in a black and grey scale as she does hold the black ring. There is no symbol on the chest of her suit like green lanterns,as she is not affiliated with the Black Ring Corps. The only thing that makes her not look normal is that there is some sort of black vein that crawls up the left side of her body. It starts from where the ring is on her left finger,to where it nearly covers the entirety of the left side of her face and slightly over her eye. The color in the veins get more deeper in color depending on how much emotion Penny is feeling at the time. If she isn't feeling alot,her skin will look normal. But if she's in a rage or upset, it'll pulse a deep black color. Although because of this she usually wears a sort of mask similar to the phantom of the opera style mask that covers the left side of her face and most of her eye. Yes it makes her look scary,but she's trying to make good with her life about it all and tends to over look it.

OVERALL PERSONALITY.
Penelope sounds like a name that someone should be happy, right? No. Penelope is more similar to Raven. She represses her feelings down inside of her, only because the ring feeds off of her emotional energy. She's not necessarily monotone,as she does show emotions occasionally. She just can't express them like a normal human would. She can't express an large amount of happiness, sadness,or anger as the rings parasitic side (The vein as she calls it) would grown more and more until it would over take her entire body,which by then would be too late to try and reverse. Generally,she has good personality,she just can't express them. So it's hard to say what she's feeling at any given moment.

BACKSTORY
Penelope grew up in a relatively rich house hold. She ended up becoming one of those play boys,as even though her mother wanted her to be more lady like,she had a more rambunctious Personality and tended to not care about consicuences. Until one day as she was headed home with her parents, having a rich status can lead to things,one of those being robbery. She was coming home from a late night party with her parents,when there was an attempted mugging,as you do in gotham, it ended up in her father getting killed and her mother becoming critically injured but died within the next hours. Now unfortunate for Penny,it had been one of the darker nights for her. Her mother's sister,after learning about what happened,was able to take over the fortune with her husband,but that left with most of the money going to them instead of to Penelope,as she had been seen as a unresponsible teenager. The only money she had now was that left over in the will left by her parents. Her aunt and uncle weren't that supportive,sort of neglecting her from the start and really only wanting the money. Penelope would try her most to avoid having to go home, usually taking long routes back to the mansion. Well,on one of her walks she stumbled apon a black ring on the side walk. She didn't know where it came from, only that it looked expensive and that an intense energy was drawing her to it. She picked it up before slipping it on. Of course,she didn't know the power it would give her. She found out herself when her and her aunt were in another one of their fights. Having expressed grate rage, Penelope felt some sort of ping in her and attacked her aunt,lunging for the heart. Now before any real death was done, Penelope managed to snap out of the trance. But to her it seemed like a black out. Her aunt was on the floor, bleeding from some sort of indent on her chest where her heart was. Not knowing what was happening, Penelope called the police,but realized she would be probably thrown in jail for attempted murder. So she had enough time to wash up any trace of blood on herself before fleeing. Even though she thought she could hide,she wasn't found by the police. She was found by Green lantern who had been reported a Black Ring had landed on earth somewhere in gotham. Only for him to find that the ring had attached itself onto a scared and confused Penelope,who had discovered days before that the ring was infecting her with something and that it wouldn't come off. So instead of sending her to the police,Green Lantern decided to try and bring her under his wing to at least allow her to learn how to cope with living with one. Soon enough Green Lantern became a sort of father figure to her. Although this was when she was brought into the world of being a side kick. She was rambunctious and didn't listen to what anyone said, usually going ahead in battle. But it would end up with her sometimes blacking out from over use of the ring. By then the Teen Titans were freshly made, and Green Lantern thought she had made enough progress with the ring that now she should try doing some work on team work. And sent her to join the titans. The only titan she does know is Robin,as she's been on patrols with him before.
