Shadowpaw was asleep,until she felt some tiny paws poked her,Opening one eye.She saw Starlingkit and Poppykit looking at her,She yawned and spoke"What are you two doing here?" "Honeylight is busy kitting"Poppykit squealed,"Whatever that is."Starlingkit added.

"Can we go the medicine cat den?"Starlingkit asked,glancing at Poppykit."We went there,last time!Plus those herbs don't smell good anyway!"Poppykit exclaimed,"I like the herbs even the taste!"Starlingkit mewed,"Fine"Poppykit snorted,The two kits streaked through crowd of cats.Brindleheart spotted them and darted and grabbed the two kits.

Brindleheart carried them to elders,Shadowpaw rose on her paws,shaking off bits of lingering moss on her fur.She pushed her way out of the den,Webgaze padded to her,"Let's go!"Webgaze turned,her tail vanished among exit of camp,Shadowpaw  dragged herself through leaves and twigs,Shadowpaw watched as her mentor showed some moves.Shadowpaw jumped,paws stretched out,Missing by mouse tail.She lost balance and rolled over small slope behind bushes.

Shadowpaw felt her fur hit something cold,She got up and looked at what she hit.Shadowpaw took a step back,eyes widen horror.Webgaze jumped from two kit step hill,opening her mouth but closed it shut as soon she saw what Shadowpaw saw."Sorrelpaw!?"Shadowpaw shrieked,Sorrelpaw's body was rotting like old prey,maggots crawled on the rotting flesh,nibbling away.Pawsteps echoed behind them,whipping around to see Gorsepaw and Crowpaw,jaws filled with prey."Sorrelpaw!"Gorsepaw jumpd,dropping his vole."She gone,something or cat killed her"Webgaze mewed,Gorsepaw ignored the she cat,crying out.

Webgaze placed the dead apprentice on large bark,dragging the bark to camp.The clan gave the cats horrified looks,many cried out in sorrow,"Let all cats old enough gather for clan meeting!!"Needlestar yowled"Our missing apprentice was found dead,we shall mourn over the young cat,but we must do a ceremony,Crowpaw,Gorsepaw...step up"Crowpaw and Gorsepaw slipped through crowd of cats.

Their fur clean,they stood tall and proud."Moonfire,Sedgefur,Have your apprentices showed true warrior ways?"Moonfire nodded as Sedgefur spoke"Of course" "Starclan,May I ask you look upon these apprentices!They have learn ways of noble code!" "Crowpaw,Gorsepaw do you two promise uphold the code even at cost of your life?"Needlestar yelled,The two apprentices took a deep breath,"I do"They replied."Then by power of StarClan,Crowpaw you will be known as Crowmoon!Gorsepaw,you shall be known as Gorsefall!" "Crowmoon!Gorsefall!"Cats echoed their new names.

Leopardpaw padded to Crowmoon,her bigger brother.Touched noses with him,Leopardpaw would be a warrior by now,but a branch fell upon her and broke her fore paw,which had just healed.Leopardpaw limped her way to the den.Starlingkit admired Mapleleaf and the herbs,coming almost everyday and watching.Crowmoon and Gorsefall left the camp for vigil.

Mapleleaf stuck her head and sniffed then looking around,she padded out with bundle of herbs,whispering to Stormpelt.They both disappeared into bushes.Shadowpaw tilted her head in confusion,catching Brightpaw glaring at where they left and  turned and vanished in the den.

Fun fact:Brightpaw is named after Breezefang's mother Brightheather!
