Something's drifting down...
She's shocked....and after a few seconds got recovered, she stood up and dashed out through the sliding door. Leaving her doubt behind, she began to run under the splas of rain straight to the tree...

"Little bird, are you okay?" she asked with worried. Her little fingers were about trying to rub its wet feathers when suddenly a voice was heard, "Wait! Becareful! Don't touch it! I'm gonna go down, okay!"
"What are you doing up there?" Hoshiko tilted her head as she asked back. The hard pour of the rain made her had a blur picture of the person who was just starting to climb down the tree. And in the blink of an eye, someone in a red raincoat already stood up in front of her.

"Well, let me see!" a boy, around her age, said while cupping his palms. His wet bangs covered his purple eyes, hiding almost half of his face.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." he said softly. One of his hand was trying to examine its wing, but pain was heard from his voice. Hoshiko couldn't stand it any longer. She grabbed his raincoat's sleeve and dragged him along with her.

"Heeyy! What are you doing?" He didn't expect it happened so he just could follow Hoshiko's steps with no rhythm and almost stumbled over a stone when they walked back to the house. "Mom....?! We need your help please!" Hoshiko yelled while opening the door. Soon, Mrs. Kita, in her green apron, walked quickly towards them. "Honey? What's happening?" she said worriedly. "I'm fine Mom, but I think my friends need your help" Hoshiko pointed at the boy and a little bird on his hands.
"Okay, I'll take care of them and you change your clothes, okay?" her words were replied with a nod from her kid.

After a half hour later, they all felt so glad knowing the bird tried to flap its wings. "Thank you very much for your kind help Mrs. Kita," the boy smiled and bowed his head a little. "It's alright. Don't mention it," Mrs. Kita replied smiling. "Wait, I'll be back," she stood up and walked to the kitchen.

"Well, I'm glad it's safe now," Hoshiko said with a smile on her face feeling so relieved. "My bad!! I forgot!" the boy suddenly stood up. "I am Kazuto Tsukiakari, nice to meet you!" he offered her a shake hand. Hoshiko chuckled and followed him standing up, "Hoshiko Kita" she took his hand and shook it. A great unique meeting she thought.

After spending almost an hour with the Kita family, he finally excused himself to leave. "Thank you Mrs Kita, and you too Hoshiko. I don't know what will happen to it if I don't get a help," he said thankfully. "It's fine Kazuto, we'd love to help you, oh and that bird too, we love to help it, really," Hoshiko quickly added. Her mother chuckled quietly. "Well, I think we should leave now. Bye, Mrs. Kita. See you later Hoshiko," he start walking to the door with Hoshiko trailing behind him. "Do you really know how to take care of that bird?" Hoshiko asked him. She honestly had a bit worried about that. "Don't worry, it's in the right hand," he said proudly. "Okay then, I think I should believe you," she shrugged and smiled quietly. "Hey, why did I hear a doubt?" he turned his body to face her. "No, I said it plainly," she replied casually hiding her laugh. "Okay....," he opened the door, "See you Hoshiko," he smiled at her before turning his body and walked away.

It took not more than ten seconds when Hoshiko opened the front door to see Kazuto standing in front of their door. "Yes?" she asked him politely. "Ano...I forgot....my raincoat," he said while rubbing his back neck sheepishly . "Ohh...okay," she let him take his raincoat back. "Thanks and later Hoshiko," Kazuto waved before leaving the house. "Later Kazuto-san," she replied and closed the door.
She was just turning her body when she heard the door was knocked. "Yes?" she opened it and couldn't hide her laugh when she saw Kazuto again.
"Something's left Kazuto-san?" she asked teasing him. "Yes, I forgot to tell you that you could call me KAZ," Kazuto grinned and quickly turned his body. "See you soon, Hoshi-chan!"
"See ya, Kaz!" she chuckled seeing her new friend ran back to his place.

"KAZ? Cool," she smiled and closed the door.
