TERRITORY

floodclan's territory starts as a marshy slope coming down from the river and folding into a dark, tree rich forest. their camp is near the edge of the territory, where the ravine-like space arcs back toward the sky. they took a clearing and wove brambles through the trees to protect their home. it is easily watched over from the trees, and they can quickly find their way to higher ground should the many streams flowing through their territory flood.

PREY

they hunt all sorts of woodland creatures, including mice and squirrels. however they also hunt for frogs, newts, and even the occasional fish in the streams and marshes.

PREDATORS

their biggest issues are foxes and badgers who seek to make the forest their homes as well. they've had a few dog mishaps, but their territory is full of enough trees that very few cats have died from them. the last, and perhaps worst enemy they have, is water. often in new-leaf and leaf-fall, the rain swells the streams and river and causes the marshes to flood. to combat this, however, apprentices are taught to swim before they've even learned to hunt.

CATS

floodclan cats are usually sleek, with sturdy legs and broad shoulders. having dark coloured or patterned fur is optimal for hunting in the shadowy forest, but silver is not an uncommon colour, either. it is considered a very attractive pelt colour. popular names recently have included mouse-, tiger-, dark-, silver-, etc. water-related names are also often used.

CONFLICTS

floodclan is determined to claim the river on the border as their own. chasmclan cats cannot even fish, it would do them no good. however, they are not keen on fighting as chasmclan are more ruthless in battle.
