many moons ago...

cats settled into the territories beyond twolegplace. the moors and marshes were rich with prey and soon the few cats grew into a clan. disasterclan, they called themselves.

but as the moons wore on and the clan continued to grow, tensions rose. the leader at the time, swallowstar, kept accepting rogues into the clan without regard for the cats he already had. and so grew a plot, to overthrow swallowstar and drive out the rogues.

somewhere in the middle, some cat played both sides. on the day of revolution, swallowstar was prepared. he and the other loyal disasterclan cats fought back.

in the midst of battle, swallowstar was killed.

half of the clan was driven to the moor, and the others retreated to the forest.

disasterclan was effectively shattered.

one of the cats driven to the moor, chasmflight, vowed to protect their new clan from rogues, and to never allow rogues to set foot into their territory again.

and thus the cruel and deceitful chasmclan was born.

in the marshes, floodingbird was chosen as a new leader. determined not to allow swallowstar's memory to be tarnished, she vowed to keep her new clan safe and value loyalty above all else.

and thus the arrogant and quick-tempered floodclan was born.

the two clans have lived side by side for moons, now, in a tense peace.

but something far worse than war is coming to their territories. something they will never be prepared for.

can floodclan and chasmclan survive? or will the clans be wiped out forever?
