You four have been chosen to be the Warriors of the Light, bringers of hope. You must take with you the last of my light... and the last of our world's hope. Unless you act, the light will be lost, and the equilibrium forever broken. Once you take in the light, you will be able to extract the power from the other crystals.

"The Wheel of Time! So you've met King Argus." Cid spoke as Kuroko gave him the said item to enhance your ship. "All right then! It's time to get to work! I'll turn your enterprise into a brand new airship!" The old man ran outside, eager to work on your airship.
He told them it would take a few hours, so he and his party decided to roam around Canaan for a bit. The four of them went out of Cid's house and went to a house with a healing spring inside. All of them drank a handful, feeling much better than before.
"Man, that was hard work!" Shiori, the party's Monk (a skilled melee attacker that could use bear hands to eliminate enemies), exclaimed as she stretched her arms upwards.
Akashi, the party's Black Mage (a mage that specializes in Black Magic), nodded in agreement. "Indeed it was. Djiin deserved his death for casting a curse in Kazus and Castle Sasune." He said, sighing.
Kise, the party's White Mage (a mage that specializes in White Magic like healing) gave a sparkling grin. "Yeah, he did!" He exclaimed. "I wish Princess Mizuki-cchi would be fine without me in the castle." He mumbled with a frown on his face.
Shiori patted his back. "I'm sure she would be okay. The castle has many guards to protect her."
"But I want to protect her!" The blonde wailed, taking Shiori in his arms as he cried.
Shiori's eye twitched once, but comforted Kise either way. "You know, we're already protecting her by being the Warriors of Light. I mean, if we defeat the darkness, you will see her again and every one of us will be safe. It's a win-win scenario, ne?" The dirty blonde consoled, patting the other blonde's head awkwardly.
Kise looked at her while sniffing. "Really, Shiori-cchi?"
The said girl sighed. "Yes, Kise. Now let go of me before you get snot on my clothes." She said, chuckling.
Akashi stared at the scene in front of him, his eyes reflecting jealousy. He huffed, looking away.
"When will Cid call for us?" Kuroko, the party's leader and Warrior (a powerful melee fighter as well who could use swords and axes) piped up which mildly surprised everyone in the room, except Akashi.
"W-Well, he did say a few hours," Shiori replied, still a bit surprised, "but I wish it would only be a while."
Kuroko nodded in agreement with the teen. He stood up and went outside the room, the others following suit.
The four of them walked into a magic store. Akashi and Kise browsed some spells, and in the end, the former bought a Poison and Thunder spell while the latter bought a Cure spell.
Then they went into an armour store, in which Kuroko bought a sturdier torso armour, as well as Shiori.
When they were all finished, they went to the area near the waterfall and sat down quietly. None of them spoke a word, not even Kise which was a miracle. Sitting around for a bit, they relaxed in the sunlight as they enjoyed their temporary peace. Of course, it was interrupted when they had heard Cid calling them. "Kuroko, Akashi, Shiori, Kise, the airship is finished!" He exclaimed when they went to him. "Remember that the Enterprise can only land on water. It was a sea ship to begin with, you know?" He said. "Now you can finally get away from the floating continent, and back to our own world!"
Kuroko tilted his head slightly. "... Our own world?" He asked, genuinely confused.
"What do you mean...?" Akashi piped, also confused. Now this was a first.
Shiori snickered. "Oh look, something that the shortie doesn't know." She mumbled, which made Kise nicker as well.
The red-headed mage glared at the melee fighter. "Shut up. I could easily cast a Thunder spell on you." Well, it was true though; Akashi was just two inches shorter than Shiori even though they were eighteen, who would constantly tease him about it.
The dirty blonde girl 'pfft'-ed. "I would punch you before you could even utter a single word in your spell. I am much faster than you." She retorted with a grin on her face as she sent him a peace sign.
"Please don't fight." Kuroko pleaded which made the two stop and look away. The bluenette transferred his attention to the airship specialist. "Please continue, Cid."
"I guess it's time for you to know the truth..." The old man said, rubbing his head. "You four and I am not from this world... this floating continent.
Ten years ago, I was flying my airship, filled with passengers... It seemed to be a day like any other, until...
Suddenly, the airship was engulfed in an impenetrable darkness... Next thing I knew, my airship was in pieces. We had crashed, and things were aflame everywhere I looked. The only survivors, aside from myself, were you four... You probably don't remember - you were only little kiddies back then. I don't know what happened to our world after the darkness came. But you... you must go and find out!" He grinned. "You've been chosen as the Warriors of Light! I know you'll make it! Be safe." Cid said.
Kuroko nodded and all of them thanked the old man. They headed out of the village and went to the new and improved Enterprise, their ship/airship. They boarded it and flew out of the floating continent and onto the surface world.
All of a sudden, a strong gust of wind hit the airship. Kuroko clicked his tongue. "Wh-What is this cloud? It's... it's draining my strength away..." He said, almost being blown away, but luckily Akashi was next to him to prevent him from being boarded off.
"Hold on!" Akashi exclaimed. "Our answers lie on the surface! We must reach it!"
After the struggle, they had finally made it out of the cloud.
"... We're through!" Kise exclaimed happily.
The four of them went to the edge of the ship to see what the surface world is like.
"Is this the surface...? It's so... sprawling!" Shiori said.
All they saw was... water. It had a mysterious shades of blue; dark, light, and there was even black in it. They were clueless on where to go.
"Why don't we go east?" Akashi proposed, gaining the approval of all the party members.
They travelled for quite some time, and then they saw two small islands. They headed towards that direction. On one island, all they saw were mountains, so it was a no-go. They then went north of that island, and there they saw was a temple and a cave.
They landed the ship near the island. All of them went outside and examined the temple first, but all they saw was a healing spring inside and a shard of something with a protective shield around it. They went out of there then went to the cave next. What prevented them was a large door; it didn't even have a lock or any means of getting inside!
All of them sighed, feeling defeated. They went back to the Enterprise then sat in the middle of their ship. "Why don't we search for more islands?" Shiori said, trying to cheer up the boys. "We haven't thoroughly searched the surface after all."
The three teens nodded in agreement, so they got up and steered the ship once again. Fortunately, Shiori's words motivated them because if she didn't, they wouldn't have found another small island northwest of the last island where they were from. It was much smaller, but they saw a wrecked ship. It must have meant something!
They hurriedly went out of the Enterprise and looked into the woods for a while. After doing so and finding nothing, they went to the wrecked ship, their adrenaline kicking in.
They went to their right, seeing a staircase leading them downwards. Once they went there, they saw another staircase going down. There, they saw some chests that were filled with a Blood Sword in one, and a pack of Zeus' Wrath in the other.
Kuroko equipped the Blood Sword since the whole party agreed it fitted him the most. He smiled at them, but all of a sudden, Akashi, Shiori, and Kise had expressions which displayed shock as they gazed at something behind Kuroko.
Confused, the bluenette turned to look at what was behind him. There, they saw an old man standing beside a bed, which was occupied with a young lady dressed in white probably at the age of 18, just like them.
Kuroko was enticed by this girl's beauty, so he unconsciously walked towards her. The party slowly walked towards the old man, curious.
The old man paced left and right in panic. "... Oh! Oh no! Miss [F/N], are we ever in trouble!" He exclaimed. "Alas! Alack! If nothing is done, our own time will cease as well."
"Calm down, sir," Kuroko spoke, "just what is going on?" He asked.
The old man turned to them, not even surprised that there were other people. "The land..." He started. "Darkness has covered the land, and darkness has stopped our time!" He exclaimed, clearly panicked. "Miss [F/N] tried to stop it, but... Oh, Miss [F/N]..."
"Ugh..." The girl on the bed groaned, clearly pained by something unknown.
The old man jumped in surprise, but turned back to tend to her. "Oh me, oh my! Miss [F/N], Miss [F/N], wake up!"
"She's very weak," Kise said, his eyes saddening, "we have to help her."
Shiori and Kuroko looked at each other, brain storming. "I wonder if we have anything in our bag that can fix her up." Kuroko mumbled, wanting to help this girl who intrigued him.
Kuroko walked beside the old man, then he suddenly spoke. "I'm Miss [F/N]'s caretaker. We fought against the invading darkness with all our might, but to no avail." He sighed sadly. "I can't remember how many days have passed since the darkness stopped the flow of time... Miss [F/N], please be well, Miss [F/N]..."
Kuroko neared the bed while [F/N] groaned again. "Nngh..." She mumbled.
The Warrior took out a potion and an antidote, then he commanded the lone girl in their party. "Shiori, please hold her head up. I'm going to let her drink these."
The said girl nodded and did what Kuroko had said. He opened [F/N]'s mouth slightly so that she could drink the potion and antidote properly. When Kuroko was done, Shiori laid [F/N]'s head down.
She sat up slowly and blinked as she surveyed her surroundings. "Wh-Who are you? Where am I?" She mumbled as she looked at the foreign faces. "The light..." She muttered, blinking once again. "I see a powerful light within you. Could it be...?"
Kuroko put up his hand for a handshake. "I'm Kuroko, he's Akashi, she's Shiori, and he's Kise," He enumerated as he pointed at them. "The crystals guided us to this world." The bluenette explained.
[F/N] lightly blushed at this young man's handsome face when she shook his hand. "It is a pleasure to meet all of you. My name is [F/N]." She stood up from the bed. She stumbled a bit, but Kuroko caught her before she was about to fall. "Thank you." She muttered.
Kuroko gave a gentle smile. "You're welcome."
[F/N] was able to stand properly now, and then she looked at the four warriors. "So you are the Warriors of the Light...The crystals have chosen their champions!" She exclaimed happily. "We are saved!"
"If that were only true." Shiori said, sighing. "Time is still motionless outside of these walls." She explained with a melancholic look.
[F/N] mirrored her action, saddened as well. She looked down at the ground and closed her eyes. "So the world has succumbed to darkness..." She said, then looked up again with a bright smile. "We have to save it!" The [f/c] teen stepped forward, her hands like she was in a prayer. "Bring me to the Temple of Water! Maybe if we bring the crystal shard there to the sealed crystal..." She coughed once, one of her eyes closed as she did so. "... Please! You must bring me to the Temple of Water!" She pleaded as she looked into Kuroko's beautiful pale blue eyes.
They all looked at each other with small smiles on their faces. They nodded in agreement.
"Please look after Miss [F/N]. I will guard this place until you return." The old man said, smiling at all of them.
+++
All five went to the island where they saw the Water Temple. They entered the area, but [F/N] suddenly stopped walking inside the temple, which made them stop as well.
She had a soft smile on her face. "The light of the crystal within you has freed me from this frozen time. If the Water Crystal regains its former power, we may be able to banish the darkness from this land and restore the time."
"You're the first person to see the power of the crystals," Kuroko spoke up, "so it's really inside us?"
She smiled again and nodded. "Mhmm!" You said. "Now let's get going to restore the flow of time."
Kuroko smiled back at her, and lead the way into the Water Temple.
Once the crystal shard was in sight, [F/N] instantly ran towards it, her [h/l] [h/c] hair swaying.
"Be careful, Miss [F/N]!" Kuroko said as you continued to run.
"Yes, thank you! And please drop the 'Miss', it makes me feel old even though I'm eighteen." She yelled back while chuckling. Once she arrived at the shard's place, she heaved out a sigh of relief. "Thank the heavens! There is still light within this shard!" She exclaimed, relieved. She turned to the four heroes and stretched out her arms in order for them to see. "Please keep this safe at the moment." She requested.
Akashi took the shard which made the other teen smile. "I will take care of it." He said with [F/N] nodding in thanks.
"So our next stop is the sealed water crystal?" Shiori inquired.
[F/N] nodded. "Yes. It must be imbued with the shard's light." She confirmed.
"[F/N]-cchi," Kise started which got the said teen's attention, "where did this shard come from?" The blonde asked.
"Before the darkness was doomed, when we saw the darkness expanding, we priestesses sealed the crystal to protect it from the darkness, in hopes that one day, the Warriors of Light would come." She explained, her hands forming in a praying figure. "This shard was created to break the crystal's seal." She put her arms back to her sides, a determined look on her face. "Come, we must go to the Cave of Tides, to the north."
+++
The party went inside the Cave of Tides, the aura of the place seemed a bit tense once they had entered. They travelled across a small wooded bridge, then arrived at the door that was locked. [F/N] moved forward and slightly ran her fingers across the door's surface. "This is the sealed portal." She mumbled. "It was made to keep outsiders away from the Water Crystal. Only priestesses of the temple may pass through." [F/N] knelt down in front of the door and began to pray.
Kuroko observed her as she was doing so. Her whole aura reflected gentleness, which Kuroko was looking for in a girl. Her white dress fitted her figure perfectly; it wasn't too tight or loose, and the solemn look on her face made the Warrior smile to himself.
The door, or portal as [F/N] would say, disappeared, then she stood up and turned to the party. She nodded and said, "We may pass now."
They went inside, and they had to cross a long bridge. They all walked carefully, making sure the bridge was stable.
"It's beautiful in here." Shiori commented as she observed her surroundings.
[F/N] nodded in agreement. "It is, no?" She said, looking at the clear blue waters that were falling down from the ceilings like a waterfall.
They went into another area, and they encountered an enemy on the way. Kuroko stood in front of [F/N] protectively. "Stand back, Mis - I mean, [F/N]. You might get hurt." He said which made the female blush and nod.
I can't just stand here and do nothing. She thought to herself as she brain stormed on what area she could help with. She snapped her fingers once she thought of something helpful.
Before the party was going to attack, she exclaimed, "I'm covering you!" then cast a Cura spell, more effective than Cure, on them which made their health recover so that they wouldn't die easily.
They all thanked her before they finally began to attack. Kuroko breathed in and out, then charged at and enemy using his Blood Sword and Royal Sword. He struck the enemy with fifteen hits, which instantly killed the enemy, and he gained some health because of his Blood Sword.
Woah... Kuroko is strong. The gentle priestess thought to herself as she observed them.
Shiori cracked her knuckles and grinned as she eyed an enemy. She charged at it with a battle cry, attacking it with her bare hands with seventeen hits, which also instantly killed the enemy due to her strong blows.
"Heh," She scoffed, "easy."
Shiori is strong as well... [F/N] thought as she looked at the grinning girl. I wish I was like her.
"I was about to attack it." Akashi complained as he glared at the honey-eyed girl.
She shrugged and slapped his arm. "You're too slow with your spells, Akashi. If I didn't step in, we would probably be injured by now."
"You are very lucky I stopped myself from using my Thundara spell, Shiori, or else I would have hit you with it." The red-head said, glaring again at the said girl. "You know, I wish I hadn't stopped it instead."
"Sheesh, calm your tits, Akashi." Shiori said, walking away. "You're so harsh." She hissed.
Akashi said nothing in response, but merely sighed.
The party proceeded to move forward. "Akashi-cchi and Shiori-cchi are so scary." Kise mumbled.
"Are they regularly like this?" [F/N] asked Kise as she stepped beside him.
Shiori, Kuroko, and Akashi walked ahead of them for a few steps, the three aligned in that order. [F/N] concluded that Kuroko was in between them so that he could prevent them from fighting.
"Yeah, unfortunately." Kise replied, nodding. "The two of them look cute together though!" Kise exclaimed with a huge smile.
"I see." The priestess muttered. She then walked beside Shiori since she thought it would be easier to talk to her than Akashi. "Shiori, may I speak with you?"
The said girl was about to say yes, but all of a sudden, Kise exclaimed, "Another enemy!"
The priestess went behind the party again and began casting another spell. "I'm covering you!" She exclaimed then cast a Protect spell on the party to lessen the damage given to them if ever.
They thanked her again, and she grinned that she was of help to them.
Shiori was about to attack and enemy, but Akashi intervened when he used a Thundara spell, which was more effective than Thunder.
All the enemies died instantly because their apparent weakness was a thunder affinity since they were water creatures.
Akashi smirked at the fuming girl. "Not only you can be the one who attacks, ne?" He mocked which made Shiori even angrier.
"Stupid red-head..." She mumbled when she walked back to [F/N] who was watching them in amusement. "What did you want to talk about, [F/N]?" The dirty blonde asked the priestess.
"I think I know the reason why Akashi always wants to attack first than you, Shiori." She stated, confusing the girl. "I think he just wants to impress you."
Shiori widened her eyes and almost choked on her own spit. "Wh-Wh-What?!" She exclaimed, her cheeks burning up. "Pardon my rudeness, but e-excuse you, [F/N], he does not want to impress me." She whispered instead, worried that the three males would eavesdrop on them. But it was a good thing they walked behind them by a few feet. "Not ever. I doubt he likes me back."
[F/N] smirked. "'Back', you say?" She said slyly. She noticed Shiori's reddening cheeks and laughed heartily which gained Kuroko's attention. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone your little secret." She said, smiling. "But make sure to confess, all right?"
Shiori grinned shyly and nodded. "Okay."
"You two are such a cute pair. I can't wait for you two to get married. Invite me alright?" [F/N] teased the honey-eyed girl once again, which made Shiori blush harder if that was even possible.
"I don't want to be rude, but please shut up, [F/N]."
She just laughed in response.
Skipping some fights, Akashi was able to obtain a Blizzaga spell, the most powerful Blizzard spell. He looked at the scroll in amazement as they walked further into the cave, his face reflecting a child's as if he had discovered something for the first time.
Shiori looked at him with a ghost smile. Akashi saw her smile though, so he looked at her with an eyebrow raised.
The melee fighter snapped out of her daze and looked away, muttering, "Stupid, idiotic mage."
Upon hearing his nickname which was given to him by Shiori, he chuckled and shook his head, mumbling. "Rumbustious, moronic monk."
Kuroko walked beside [F/N], his face void of emotion. "Hello, [F/N]." He greeted.
She looked at him with a small smile. "Hello, Kuroko." You replied. "You know..."
"Hmm?"
"The light I sense in all of you," You started with a gentle smile on your face, "it's strong, yet gentle." She said, punching Kuroko's shoulder lightly which seemed to make him smile.
It was no lie that Kuroko was falling for her, very quick and hard at that. She was just so... kind, plus, her personality is very much loved by him. She was innocent, yet mischievous in some ways. How she was determined to help them, to save the world, it just drove him even more to help the world filled with darkness.
"We're almost there." [F/N] spoke as they arrived at an area filled with shallow water. "Be careful, you might slip." She reminded as they walked around the area, arriving at some albeit high stairs.
[F/N] was about to cast a Cura spell just in case, but Kise stopped her. "Are? Why, Kise?" She asked.
The said teen grinned. "You've been healing us too much, [F/N]-cchi. Your mana must be draining. I'm a White Mage too, you know! Besides, all I've been doing in battles is using my staffs, so it doesn't really cost much." He laughed as he casted a Cura spell on the whole party.
"I see why the crystals chose you four." The [h/c] priestess vaguely said, smiling at all of them then they entered the area where the Water Crystal was kept.
[F/N] walked up to the large blue crystal, but it looked a bit dull and lifeless. She placed the crystal shard on the base when she asked for it from Akashi, and then she knelt down, her hands in a prayer formation as she closed her eyes. "Crystal of water... It is time for you to regain your light!" She spoke, then began to pray, holding the shard out toward the crystal.
She prays for a few more minutes, until...
"Look!" Shiori exclaims. "The crystal is regaining its light!" And indeed it did regain its light. It started to glow a bright, sparkling blue, and its sparkles could rival Kise's.
[F/N] stood up and walked towards the party of heroes. She smiled at all of them and said; "It is now your turn. You must merge the light within you with the one within the Water Crystal." She said. "Only then will the crystal regain its true light, and banish the darkness from this world- then time will flow once more..."
All of them nodded, then walked to exit the area. First, Shiori, then Akashi, and then Kise, and lastly, Kuroko. Before he would exit, he turned to [F/N] and boldly planted a kiss on [F/N]'s cheek. She blushed a ton shade of red, now knowing what Shiori felt when she had teased her about Akashi. It was obvious that she was not used to these acts of affection, and it would be evident that she would be embarrassed. "K-Kuroko? Wh-What was that for?" She stuttered.
"Thank you." Kuroko whispered softly with a smile on his face, then he turned to walk again.
[F/N] was about to follow suit, but then her hands fly to her mouth in shock. She looks at Kuroko and yells, "Look out!" before she pushed the bluenette, sending him to the ground which surprised the whole party.
Kuroko turned around just in time to see a blast arrow heading for [F/N] which was supposed to be hit him, but she took it instead.
It was as if it was on slow motion; she had turned towards the direction of the arrow, and it directly went through her, just below her heart. Red stained her pure white dress as she landed on the ground with a thud on her back.
Shock was displayed on everyone's faces when this had happened, especially Kuroko. He quickly ran towards her fallen figure, instantly taking her in his arms. "[F/N]! NO!" Kuroko exclaimed, unbelieving that the [F/N] he was falling for was dying. "[F/N]..." Kuroko mumbled helplessly, shaking his head as he looked at her fatal wound. "Why, why, why?" He whispered as his heart clenched at the sight of the weakening [F/N].
All she did was weakly smile up at him. Even though at the brink of death, she still had a positive vibe.
"It seems luck is on your side today, Warriors of the Light." An unfamiliar voice echoed through the cave. A figure emerged from the shadows, clad in a purple cloak and his face hidden by a hood. "I am Kraken, tasked by Lord Xande to steal the light from the crystal of the water. And you..." He let out a maniacal laughter, making Kuroko clench his fists in anger. "You are all about to die!"
"I-I'll try to heal myself, Kuroko. Go, and defeat Kraken...!" [F/N] wheezed, making Kuroko worry about her once more.
Kuroko gently laid her down, then he stood up and turned around to look at Kraken, a monster who looked like an ugly octopus. His eyes were filled with rage and hate, but he had to remain calm for the sake of winning.
He walked next to his comrades who had their battle stances ready. Akashi gritted his teeth in anger. Sure, he may have not been close to [F/N] that much, but he considered her a friend and losing one was definitely not fun. Shiori had shed many tears that her eyes were red when [F/N] got hit and now she had an enraged look on her face, but Kuroko was far angrier. Who would she invite now to her wedding when [F/N] is gone? Kise had shed some tears as well since he became such a close friend to the priestess. The two of them specialize in White Magic, who would he talk to now involving healing remedies and antidotes?
All Kuroko sees right now was red when he continually attacked Kraken. Here, he released his anger on him until he finally died with the help of his companions.
Shiori kept on punching Kraken, and with every hit, the damage would always increase. When Kraken hit her after she had focused her power on retaliating, her damage doubled because of counterattacking due to her Retaliate skill. When her arms got a bit tired and while she rested, both Akashi and Kise covered her. Akashi continually used Poison, Thundara and the new Blizzaga spell he had obtained vigorously while Kise healed the whole party and would use an Aero spell, a spell dealing wind damage, as well on Kraken to deal some extra damage even if it was only a few. Kuroko kept Advancing on Kraken, always slashing and cutting on the right places which dealt a great damage on the dark monster.
This is for [F/N]! Kuroko thought as he yelled a battle cry and finally killed Kraken.
Kraken froze as he glared at Kuroko before he faded into dust. He was finally defeated.
Once that was done, the Warrior of the group quickly ran to [F/N] with the other three following behind him. The bluenette knelt down and held her body to his chest. "[F/N]!" He cried out, his tears finally falling.
Some of his tears fell onto the girl's face. She opened her eyes and smiled gently up at him. "Hm? K-Kuroko, wh-why are you c-crying? D-Don't cry, it doesn't suit you." She joked as she smiled, her eyes crinkling meaning that her smile was genuine. She looked at the crystal and a small 'woah' was uttered from her lips. "The crystal has regained its true light... Th-Thank you." She muttered.
Shiori turned away and wiped her eyes while Akashi looked down at the ground, his fists clenching as he tried to stay strong, and Kise on the other hand was already bawling his eyes out.
[[Play music here]]
[F/N] looked at all of them, pouting. "E-Everyone, don't cry. I want to see all of you s-smile!" She exclaimed weakly, yet happily. "... I... You must take this... The... The power of water..." She managed to breathe out. She closed her eyes for a moment and said a short prayer.
All four of them felt some kind of power within them. [F/N] has blessed them with the power of water.
Kuroko shook his head frantically and buried his face onto the crook of the girl's neck. "[F/N]! Be strong! You can't leave us!" He cried out, pain was evident in his voice.
Her vision was beginning to fade into black. She closed her eyes for a few seconds then opened them again. She gently cupped Kuroko's cheeks, gaining his attention. "N-No... It's too late... for me... You..." She heaved in a breath with difficulty. "... You must go." She said, affectionately caressing his cheek. "Promise me... Promise me you will banish the darkness, and restore peace to the world..." Several tears came out of her eyes, and she chuckled. "Oh lookie, now I'm crying. I want to go with a smile...!" She said, then looked into Kuroko's pale blue eyes, her [e/c] clashing with his. "Please... Please bring back the light to this world. That..." She took in a deep breath. It was getting cold, so so cold. "That... is my final fantasy." I love you, she wanted to say, but then like a pen that ran out of its ink, she stopped breathing. Her beautiful [e/c] eyes went lifeless, her skin growing ice cold, colder than Akashi's Blizzard spell.
Kuroko shook his head vigorously, then he gently shook the lifeless girl in his arms in attempt to wake her up from her eternal slumber. "[F/N]! [F/N]!!" He bawled, hugging her figure. I love you...
The moment was interrupted by an earthquake. Akashi looked up at the ceiling with his red eyes, and his eyes were a bit swollen due to his tears being confined in there. He refused to let it fall. "An earthquake! We have to get out of here!" The red-head mage exclaimed.
The blue-headed warrior shook his head. "I don't want to leave [F/N]!"
Akashi ran to his side and knelt down beside him. "Kuroko, we have no time for this. Yes, I understand that the girl you love is gone, but tell me, what were her last words?"
"'Please bring back the light to this world.'" He echoed the priestess's words, his lips trembling.
"And that means we have to live for her. Snap out of it, Kuroko! Let's do this for our sake, her sake, and the whole world's sake."
"We can't just die in here in a stupid earthquake." Kise piped in, a sad smile on his face.
"Let's do this for everyone." Shiori managed to speak, a few sobs coming out of her.
Akashi nodded in agreement. "They are right. Now let's go. Bring [F/N]'s body, we will bury her body properly."
Shiori gasped, gaining the attention of her companions. "Watch out!" She exclaimed as rocks and debris started to rain on them.
And the last thing they saw was darkness.
+++
Unbeknownst to the party, a giant mass of land, mountains, and villages emerged from the dark waters. They have regained the flow of time, with the help of [F/N].

In Kuroko's dream while he was unconscious, he felt a presence, but it wasn't [F/N]'s presence sadly.
Warriors of the Light, you must seek out Doga... He is the only one who can help you defeat Xande.
Seek Doga... on the continent of Dalg...

Kuroko sat up swiftly, surprising Akashi, Shiori, and Kise in the process. "Wh-What? When? How?" He said frantically, still half asleep. He stepped down from the bed and stood up on his feet, looking around at his surroundings. "Where are we?"
"We're in Amur, the City of Water." Kise said. "Gramps," Ah, he must be referring to [F/N]'s caretaker, "found us in the temple and brought us here."
"We had been asleep for three days straight," Akashi piped in, "and the world has changed so much in that span."
It was Shiori's turn to speak. "No one remembers having their time stopped. It's as if it never happened." She said.
Kuroko looked around, trying to find a particular lady. He was hoping she had actually lived instead of passing away in his arms. "Wh... Where's [F/N]?" He asked, his voice cracking at the mention of her name.
Tears pooled in both Shiori and Kise's eyes while Akashi just looked down at the ground in anger. "Her body," Akashi said since he sensed that the duo could not speak about her at the moment. "her body was not found, unfortunately..."
It was as if Kuroko's whole world had crumbled. He leaned his back on the wall and slid down, burying his face in his hands as he tried so hard not to cry. Then he thought about the girl who had won his heart; she would be saddened by the fact that he was mourning about her death, but she would want him to persevere and regain the light that the world has lost. So he stood up and wiped his eyes, his comrades looking at him in worry. His eyes now reflected courage and determination; he was determined to bring back the light that was taken. A fiery tenacity burned in him. "Let's get going; let's get back the light." He said, placing his hand on his chest where his heart would be, and clenched his fist. "It's what the world wants, it's what we want, and it's what she wants."

Several months had passed and the four Warriors of Light had finally defeated the darkness that had engulfed the world.
They were currently back in the floating continent. They landed the airship just outside the forest which separated the villages of Ur and Kazus from Castle Sasune, near the town of Kazus, Shiori's hometown.
Kise went back to Castle Sasune where he would be with his beloved Princess Mizuki, and plus, they were all going to celebrate in the castle. Kise told them that we would persuade to King and his people to come to Ur, Kuroko and Akashi's hometown where the main celebration would start. With a tearful good bye, the White Mage which turned into a Devout (a much higher class of a White Mage) went into the forest to head back to the castle.
Kuroko and Akashi lead Shiori back to her hometown, Kazus, which was only a ten minute walk from their hometown and south of there. Once they arrived at the beginning of the town, she turned to them with a smile; a few tear streaks stained her face. "I'm going to miss you idiots." She muttered, trying to wipe away her tears again.
Akashi sighed and stepped forward. He wrapped one arm around her shoulder and one arm around her waist and pulled her closer as he placed his chin on her head. Akashi miraculously became taller than both Shiori and Kuroko as months walked by; puberty, you could say. "Stop crying. By the way, you're the idiot here." He mumbled as he closed his eyes, breathing in the girl's scent.
"You're taller than me," She quietly whined, making Akashi chuckle. "I can't tease you about your height now."
"Well, in that case it means it's my turn to tease you now... shortie." Akashi said, hugging the girl in his arms tighter. "Plus, Ur is just a ten minute walk north from here, you idiot."
Shiori lightly punched his chest. "If you're going to tease me, be at least original." She mumbled, pulling away. She looked up at him (he's a head taller than me, oh gosh), and grinned mischievously. "I love you." She said and pecked his lips shortly then ran into the village to greet her father. "I'll see you idiots sometime!" The Black Belt, a much stronger class than a Monk, yelled out, laughing afterwards.
Akashi was frozen on his feet as he stared at nothing in particular, the tingling feeling on his lips still remained there, even if it was just a peck on the lips. Akashi sighed and smiled inwardly. "Let's get home and celebrate, Kuroko." He said and began walk away with the said teen by his side. He momentarily looked back at the village of Kazus, smirking then shaking his head afterwards. "I love you too, shortie." He mumbled then continued to walk to Ur.
"I'm going to miss them." Kuroko spoke.
"We're always going to see them." Akashi replied.
"Still, it's not the same, you know." Kuroko said, shrugging. "We're not going to see them daily, unlike the times where we would always talk to each other." He said. "To be honest, I'm going to miss both of your banters and Kise's annoying remarks." The Knight, more powerful than a Warrior, added as he sighed.
Akashi nodded in agreement. "That is true." The Magus, a class much higher than a Black Mage, affirmed.
"You know who I miss?" Kuroko muttered, looking at the ground as they continued to walk.
They were silent for a while, until Akashi finally said a name. "[F/N]." He answered quietly. "You're not over her, are you?" Before Kuroko was able to answer, a mere goblin attempted to attack them. Keyword: attempted. Akashi, with a snap of his fingers, flames hurled towards the small monster, immediately burning him to dust. Akashi smirked in satisfaction, and they continued on their way. (a/n: omg Roy Mustang is dat u)
Kuroko shook his head, answering Akashi's question. "Never."
Akashi simply smiled at his best friend and continued to walk back to their beloved hometown.
The two of them celebrated with the whole village, and in no time Kise and the whole of Castle Sasune arrived at their town, as well as some residents from Kazus with Shiori and her adopted father leading their way.
Both Kuroko and Akashi greeted their friends, and continued to celebrate. When Akashi and Shiori were busy talking to each other, with Shiori mostly blushing at what Akashi was saying, and when Kise and Princess Mizuki were busy dancing with the crowd in the middle of the village, Kuroko decided to have some alone time.
He stood up from the chair he randomly found and walked towards the back of the weapons store where there is a small path leading to a hidden building but he does not go there, but instead, he sits down near a mini lake sits down. He placed his fingers on the surface of the water, playing with it slightly.
He looked up at the lovely blue sky and smiled. "Did you see us, [F/N]?" He spoke softly. "We have achieved your final fantasy."
In his peripheral vision, he saw a girl with [h/c] locks swaying in the wind. He transferred his gaze from the sky to the field of white flowers, and there he saw the [F/N] he has been missing for so long. "[F-F/N]..." He mumbled, her name coming off perfectly from his lips. He stood up and attempted to jump into the lake just to get across, but the girl just shook her head and her shoulders bounced as if she was laughing.
The girl across the lake smiled at Kuroko, and he reciprocated the action, a few tears attempting to escape his eyes. All of a sudden, her translucent figure stood beside him, but he wasn't the least bit fazed. This was [F/N] he was talking about, the gentlest person he has ever met. The bluenette turned to her, taking in her look. "Still beautiful as ever." He mumbled unconsciously, making [F/N] chuckle quietly.
"Thank you." She whispered. "For the compliment and," She leaned forward, her lips softly colliding with his, "for saving the world." She finished when she had pulled away. She gave him one final smile and disappeared right in front of his eyes, a small [f/c] crystal, about half the size of his pinkie finger, in the shape of a heart was on the place where she was.
Kuroko gently picked up the crystal, as if it was going to break upon contact. He looked upon it and held it close to his chest. Looking up at the sky with a smile, he said, "I love you, [F/N]."
He heard [F/N]'s melodious laughter as the wind swept by, and he heard a soft response of, "I love you too, Kuroko."
