FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IMAGINE HIM WITH HIS TEIKO HAIRCUT
-:-:-:-
Haizaki— the guy who transformed his awesome gray hair into a field full of black corns—
I mean; Haizaki— the guy who never believed in love. He enjoyed toying with females' feelings and is a ruthless and violent basketball player.
Due to his constant fuckboy-ness, people tend to dislike who he is. He never minded it though— He didn't care what other people thought... that is, until he felt something deep within his stomach when he saw you, his childhood friend, give him a disappointed look when you had caught him bullying a typical school nerd at the back of the school.
Haizaki let go of the boy's collar, who instantly backed away, and walked towards you. "I can—"
"Stop it, Shōgo. You don't have to explain." You gave him a side-long glance, disappointment embed in your [e/c] eyes as you gave him a cold shoulder and went to the cowering boy who had several bruises on his face and a busted lip. You helped him up and brought him to the infirmary without sparing another glance at your idiotic childhood friend.
You were sick of it; how he harms other people with no legitimate reason. He only does that for the fun of it. It actually disgusted you on why you even stuck with him as you two grew up. You didn't know why you even cared for that big and moronic jerk who would continuously terrorize innocent people.
Shaking your head, you continued to assist Haizaki's latest victim to the nurse's office in order to help get his wounds treated.
Meanwhile with Haizaki, his heart kept clenching in pain and he didn't know what to do. Seeing you send him that kind of look actually scared him, and he wasn't really sure why. The ash haired teen punched the wall next to him before he walked inside the campus before lunch break ended.
Haizaki went back to his classroom just to see some random guy flirting with you, but since you were an oblivious girl who practically needed someone to spell it out that someone likes you, you just took the boy's approaches as friendly gestures so you just continued to laugh and smile.
The violent ace felt it again; it's like someone had just punched his chest and continued to crush his heart.
Oh wait, 'heart'? Haizaki thought, I don't have that. He mused as he continued staring at the boy who was flirting with you with a murderous glare, his fists balled up. But why, whenever I'm with [F/N], he thinks before charging at the boy, his fist clashing with the boy's cheek.
"Shōgo!" You cried out in surprise as you shot out from your seat to tend the injured classmate. "Oi, [Random Guy]! We're going to take you to the infirmary, okay?" You said as you crouched down next to the guy. You stood up and marched over to Haizaki. "That's the fourth one today! When are you going to fucking stop? I'm sick of it, Haizaki." You hissed, your eyes narrowing with anger. You went back to [Random Guy] and helped him up as well as your other classmates. While you did so, Haizaki just stared at you blankly, his arms limp beside him as negativity flowed through him.
Why do I feel like I have one?
+++
The ash haired teen lay on his bed, staring up at the ceiling with your words echoing in his head.
Stop it, Shōgo.
When are you going to fucking stop?
I'm sick of it, Haizaki.
He sighed and took out his phone, his wallpaper consisting of him and you. He was looking away while you were looking into the camera with a wide grin and a peace sign thrown in. It was taken by his older brother when his and your family had an outing together.
He remembered that day clearly; his brother constantly teasing him on how pretty you looked in casual clothes and his brother had proposed that you two should take a picture together. Before Haizaki could retort, his brother had stolen his phone and ran over to you who was helping with the barbeque.
You looked a bit confused since his older brother told you that Haizaki wanted to take a picture with you since he never liked doing that. You agreed either way, a small smile playing upon your lips as you headed over to Haizaki who looked begrudgingly embarrassed.
"I'm not posing for a damn picture!" He had said that day.
"C'mon already, Shōgo! It's for memories!"
Haizaki was about to retort once again, but you had told him, "Let's just take a picture already so that we can get this over with."
Hence how he got that picture. Plus, his brother had set that picture as his wallpaper but Haizaki never really thought of changing it.
"That's right," Haizaki muttered under his breath, "I forgot I made a stupid promise to her."
"Ne, Shōgo, you should really stop hurting people. It would do you no good." You told him when the two of you were walking home.
"Whatever." He mumbled, kicking a pebble out of the way.
"Oi~ promise me, 'kay? I just care for you, that's all!" You happily broached, turning to him with a bright smile which he oddly liked to see in you.
"Yeah, okay, whatever," was his wonderful reply. Note the sarcasm.
"If you break the promise, I'll stop being your friend." You seriously replied, yet Haizaki didn't notice how solemn you were with your offer. "I'll stop all connections with you and you won't see the cheery [F/N] any longer." You added with your signature grin.
She was being serious, huh, Haizaki thought as he sighed and pulled the blankets over his head, contemplating to call you. This past week, you've been ignoring him: when he'd pass by you'd walk with your eyes set straight ahead of you, when he would try to talk to you, you would just avoid him and talk to someone else, and when he kept throwing paper balls at your back during class you wouldn't mind it as if it was just a gust of wind. He sighed once more and pressed the call button.
I need to know...
"Hello? Who is this?" Your groggy voice was heard on the other line. "Do you know what fucking time it is—?"
"[F/N], I'm coming over later." He spoke quickly then ended the call hastily, sighing afterwards as his heart pounded in anxiety.
I need to know why my heart hurts when I think of her leaving me...

"Why the hell are you here, Haizaki." You demanded as you saw him at your doorstep, just chilling out with his hands in his pockets. "You broke your promi—"
"Didn't you receive a phone call a while ago?" He asked once you hesitantly stepped aside to let him inside.
You raised an eyebrow at him. "That was you?" You questioned. "It scared the hell out of me." You heaved out a long breath. "You're so lucky my parents are heavy sleepers or else they would have killed you for going here this late." You looked at the clock in the living room and glared at Haizaki's back as he ascended the stairs, obviously heading to your room. "It's one o'clock in the god damn morning." You mumbled under your breath, going up the stairs as well, entering your room where you already saw Haizaki chilling on your bed. "Haizaki get off my bed."
"No."
"Wha—? Haizaki just—"
"Call me Haizaki one more time and I'll rape you." He grunted, gazing at you with a blank look.
"Ha-ha-freaking-ha, that's a good Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun reference." You mumbled, closing the door behind you as you rubbed your eyes to rid of the sleepiness. "Just move out of my spot, you jerk." You spoke, gently pushing him away from the side of the bed near the wall. You sat criss-cross-apple-sauce and leaned against the wall, gazing at Haizaki with a curious glance. "So what did you come here for?"
"There's this girl," Haizaki began which instantly piqued your interest. "I always get this stupid feeling in my chest when she looks at me and it fuckin' hurts when she gives me this annoying look that says that she's disappointed in me,"
"Mhm," you mumbled, putting your cheek on your palm as you listened intently to your childhood friend, and a sudden pang striking your heart as you listened to him rant about a girl he most probably likes. "G—Go on." You stuttered.
Haizaki gulped, your thoughtful look pressuring him, "and when she's with another guy my blood boils and I don't want her with them, and the thought of her pretending that I don't exist just fucking pains me." Haizaki explains in an aggravated manner, groaning in irritation afterwards as he lays down on your bed.
"If that's the situation, you want to spend time with her?" You ask. "As in, no playing games, just all seriousness and all that?"
He nodded in response which gained a scornful smile from you as you felt your heart getting crushed. "It's that thing called love, Haizaki." You mumble quietly, poking his chest where his heart resides.
He shot up, going into an upright position as he gazed at you with a gentle look in his eyes.
Well, this is new. You thought as you looked back at him, confused.
"In that case," He mutters, "I'm in love with you then?"
Shocked and embarrassed, your cheeks flamed up and cried out, "Wh—What?!"
Realizing what he had just said, Haizaki blushed and covered half of his face to hide his awkwardness. "I—I don't know!!"
"Y—You just said—!"
"And I'm not repeating it either!" The ash-head exclaimed, throwing a pillow to you face.
"C'mon say it again! I've never seen you so flustered!"
"No way in hell, [F/N]!"
"Come oooon~ I find it cute~"
"Stop it! Damn I'm hating you right now..."
"Hah! I love you too!" You spoke before you could even comprehend what you had just said. You covered your mouth as if you could take back your words when you saw Haizaki's smug look.
"Excuse me, [F/N]? Could you repeat what you said? I didn't quite hear it."
"Th—Then you're obviously deaf!" You reply as you turn your head away from him.
Haizaki sat Indian style across you. He hesitantly yet gently cupped your cheeks which resulted you to blush more. "You're blushing."
"No shit, Sherlock."
Chuckling, he said, "Look at me, [F/N]," in the gentlest ways he could possibly ever reach.
You looked at him as you gulped in nervousness, your cheeks holding a red hue in them. Haizaki sighed and leaned down to kiss your forehead tenderly, leaving you a blushing mess. You've never ever seen Haizaki this gentle towards you, so of course you would be surprised at how he's currently treating you. For all the women he's played with and how you just stood in the sidelines not minding what he did, you've never seen him so lenient and docile.
"You better not be playing here, Haizaki." You whispered as you leaned your head on his chest.
"I wouldn't think of it, [F/N]." He started as he held your shoulders for you to look at him. "I have never felt this way towards any woman, so I wouldn't just throw this away just like that." He held your hand and placed your palm on his chest. "If you can feel it, my stupid heart is beating too fast I might die." He chuckled, and you could sense how nervous he is at the moment. "I'm a beginner at this thing called love, as you say, and I need you to teach me how this works." He leaned down once more and pecked your forehead lovingly. "So what do you say?"
You smiled softly and said, "[Your answer]."
