The Beginning of Everything

Primordial Void - The Era of Uncertainty

Before anything existed—before time, space, and laws—there was only an infinite emptiness. No light, no darkness, no matter, no energy. Absolute nothingness.

And then, from the deepest depths of the void, a Will awakened. It had no form, no name, no concept to define itself. And yet, it existed.

"What am I?"

The question echoed within its own being. No one answered, and no one heard. But the Will did not stop. It continued questioning, over and over, until eons had passed—even though time itself had yet to come into existence.

Gradually, the Will began to understand that it did not wish to remain imprisoned in the void. It longed for freedom, but how could it attain such a thing when there was only emptiness?

Thus, to escape eternal solitude, the Will decided to create something.

It expanded its essence, weaving the first strands of light, engraving the first laws. A world was born—a space separate from the primordial void.

But one world was not enough.

The Will continued, giving birth to a second world, then a third… until thousands, millions, an infinite number of worlds came into existence. Each world bore its own laws and concepts, carefully inscribed by the Will itself.

And so, the once-empty Heavenly Void gradually transformed into a grand tapestry of creation.

Axis of Fate

Boom!!!

"You there, stop!!!"

'Damn it! They’re too fast. I just hope my child is safe. I can't let them be harmed!'

The man sprinted with all his might. Even after activating a secret technique to boost his speed to the maximum, it was still nothing compared to the power of a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator. He didn’t know how long he had been running when, suddenly, a reaper's scythe came hurling toward him. Clenching his teeth, he enveloped his arm in dragon scales and intercepted the attack, shielding the infant in his embrace.

"Oh, Bai Cheng'an, have you really been driven to such a desperate state? How pitiful," a mocking voice rang out, followed by a sneer.

"Despicable coward! If you hadn’t ambushed me, do you think I would have ended up like this?" Though his rage burned, Bai Cheng'an held his newborn child close to his chest.

"You will soon come to understand the gap between us. But first, I’d like to watch you writhe in despair a little longer. Soul-Devouring Hex—[Soul Reaver Curse]!"

As soon as the words were spoken, a hand cloaked in sinister black energy shot toward Bai Cheng'an.

But just then, reinforcements arrived. A figure clad in flowing white robes descended from the sky.

"You wretched scum! If I, this old man, fail to stop you today, I’d rather die than live in disgrace! [Dragonflame]!"

The cursed hand, upon direct contact with the searing dragon flames, was incinerated, managing to claim only a fragment of Bai Cheng'an soul before being burned away. The enemy’s subordinates rushed forward, but they were swiftly cut down.

"Uncle… why are you here? I thought you were handling the Corrupt Dragon’s affair?" Bai Cheng'an, utterly exhausted from burning his own bloodline for power, barely managed to speak.

"You foolish boy, even if you don’t care about your own life, at least think about your child! If they lose their father, how will they survive? Do you want them to grow up alone? And yet you went as far as burning your bloodline just to hold on?!" The elder’s voice was a mix of anger and concern as he tossed a teleportation jade toward Bai Cheng'an.

"But…" Bai Cheng'an hesitated, looking down at the infant in his arms.

"No buts! I, Bai Changsheng, will not allow either of you to die here today! Or have you no faith in me?!" The elder stepped forward, placing a firm hand on Bai Cheng'an shoulder.

"...Then, take care of yourself, Uncle." Without another word,Bai Cheng'an activated the jade talisman, vanishing along with his child—returning to the sanctuary.
