Silver and I landed on the roof and I immediately felt a weird tingling on my feet. The entire roof was corrupted and it was spreading onto my feet.

Silver noticed as well but focused on calling out Unown. "Well look who it is. My embarrassment of a son and his little friend." Giovani spat.

Silver shook his head. "I don't care what you say, dad. My aunt is proud of who I am. I'm proud of who I am. And I won't let some stranger tell me not to be! Unown use Hidden Power on Ho-Oh!"

Unown's eye started to glow and it fired a thin white beam at Ho-Oh. The corruption seemed to fade away ever so slightly where the move made contact but it was shortly overtaken once more.

A burst of light signified that Giovani had sent out his Nidoking again. "I'm afraid that winning this battle won't be as easy as you hope. The corruption is under my control, and all who become corrupted are as well. Together with MissingTwo, we will have our revenge on this world! Ho-Oh, destroy the other boy. My son is mine." Did he say MissingTwo? He mentioned it before too! Isn't that the Pokémon who created all this corruption to begin with?

Silver sent out Crobat and looked back at me nervously. "You've got this Silv!" I cheered. Ho-Oh roared and I was forced to focus on the enemy I had to face off against with no Pokémon of my own while the corruption slowly made its way up my legs.

Ho-Oh began to flap its wings and I felt the powerful gusts blow against my body. How do I even begin taking on something this strong? I panicked while trying not to lose my footing.

I looked up and saw the Legendary Pokémon charging up a fire attack and ran off to the side. The attack exploded behind me and I barely managed to avoid it.

I felt the heat on my back as I ducked behind part of the tower's structure for cover. I looked around my cover to see Ho-Oh taking to the skies and one of the floorboards shaking slightly.

The floorboard shook again before bursting open. An Espeon drained of color jumped out and started looking around. The corruption had now spread my knees and I had even more to worry about.

Wait a second... Espeon? I did a double-take but I recalled what Jess had told me about the Kimono Girls being in the tower. Was my Espeon with them? Was that MY Espeon?

I got up and ran from my cover over to where she was. "Espeon! Espeon is that you?" The Pokémon looked at me curiously and then bared its fangs. "Espeon? Come on... it's me." I said to her but I felt a powerful force enclose me.

Before I knew what was happening, I had been flung off the roof of the building by Espeon's Psychic. I started falling but was suddenly rescued.

I looked to see what had caught my fall and it was none other than Raikou. I grabbed onto its neck and we landed on one of the parts of the building that jutted outward enough for it to land.

Raikou wasted no time leaping directly upward and to the roof of Bell Tower. It landed on the ground and Suicune landed next to it with Eusine on its back.

Eusine waved at me. "Gold! Glad I could get here in time! I found Suicune and Raikou had landed in the corruption and helped them, in exchange Suicune purified me and took me up here." Eusine explained. Voltorb bounced happily next to him and Suicune closed its eyes.

I felt the corruption on me vanish and when I looked at the tower it had seemingly all been purified.

Silver was currently battling Giovani, who was still corrupted but seemed to be doing well. Espeon ran over to me with its tail wagging.

"Espeon! I'm so happy you're here!" I said to her. "It's been a minute. You seem a lot stronger already." Espeon nodded proudly.

Ho-Oh roared from above and my attention was once again brought back to the corrupted Rainbow Pokémon.

"Suicune! Purify Ho-Oh!" I pointed at the giant bird.

Suicune shook is head and Eusine narrowed his eyes. "Mayhaps we need to weaken it."

I rolled my eyes. Just my luck. "Ok then, Raikou when I tell you to, start firing lightning at it and get its attention. Eusine, when I give you the signal have Voltorb strike Ho-Oh with an electric attack!"

Eusine nodded and I looked down at Espeon. "Espeon, I want you to give Raikou a psychic boost when he's jumping long distances. And Suicune, keep us purified if we start to get corrupted. Let's do this! Now Raikou!" I shouted.

Raikou roared and launched a massive electric bolt at Ho-Oh. The move struck its target with ease and Ho-Oh began to prepare a fire attack. "Now jump down to those buildings!" I said.

Raikou took both of us off of the tower near instantaneously. We began to fall and landed on one of the strange corrupted homes near the ground.

Ho-Oh was following us down and Raikou didn't waste any time continuing its run, jumping from building to building. "Stop here and use Extrasensory!" Raikou crashed onto a roof and skid to a stop.

It turned around and hit Ho-Oh with waves of psychic energy. Ho-Oh shuddered but volleys of fire started to rain down on everything in our vicinity.

I pointed at a building far away. "There!" Raikou hesitated. "Espeon will help us! Trust me!" Raikou got a running start and jumped from the roof, narrowly dodging a fireball.

Raikou seemed to glide through the air and reached the new building with ease. "Thunder!" Ho-Oh turned around to be hit with another full-power electric attack.

Ho-Oh screamed and dove down at us. "On it's back!" Raikou jumped above Ho-Oh and landed on its back. Ho-Oh started to spin around and crashed into the building.

Raikou and I tumbled off and I held on to the Legendary Beast for dear life. Ho-Oh flapped its massive wings and we were flung onto the roof of another building.

Ho-Oh wasted no time shooting yet another fire attack at us. It has to be getting tired at this point, right? I wondered. "Thunder!" Raikou countered the incoming attack head-on and pushed through.

Ho-Oh shrieked as further damage was dealt but it simply wouldn't go down. "We need to get Ho-Oh back to the tower!" I said. This better work! Raikou took off for the tower.

Once he reached it, he dug his claws into the stone wall and pulled himself up higher and higher. We eventually reached the roof and fortunately Ho-Oh was right behind us.

I looked back at Eusine, Suicune, and Espeon. "Espeon, throw us into the air! Eusine have Voltorb attack as soon as we're high up! This is it!"

My stomach lurched as Espeon helped throw Raikou high into the sky. Ho-Oh began to climb up after us but Voltorb's attack stunned him. "Use Thunder and slam into it! We're bringing Ho-Oh down onto the tower!" I shouted.

Electric energy rose all around me and Raikou started to fall down, continuing to gather electric power.

The amount of energy flowing through me was like nothing I had ever experienced but I wasn't scared. I was excited.

Raikou slammed into Ho-Oh and we continued to fall down all the way back into the tower. Raikou unloaded all of its remaining electricity into Ho-Oh just before we crashed onto the roof.

Ho-Oh let out a final weak caw but didn't try to get back up. Raikou jumped off of the Legendary Pokémon and Suicune purified it.

Suicune also healed Ho-Oh after its brilliant rainbow feathers were restored. Ho-Oh opened its eyes and stared at me. I wanted to say something but an explosion reminded me Silver was still battling his father.

Crobat was doing much better against Nidoking than I had anticipated. Nidoking was completely corrupted but Crobat has seemingly managed to mostly avoid the corruption.

Crobat darted behind Nidoking and struck it ok the back. Nidoking winced but swung around to swat Crobat out of the air.

Crobat flew back to Silver. "Great job Crobat. This is where it ends, father. Your Pokémon is no match for Crobat!"

Giovani spat on the ground. "Lies! Pokémon are tools, and the power of MissingNo allows me to control them fully like the tools they are! Nidoking use Iron Tail!"

Nidoking swung its tail at Crobat and Silver just shook his head. "Dodge and use Air Slash!" Crobat flew out of the attack's range and sent a current of air into Nidoking's face. The Pokémon flinched after the attack hit it.

Giovani stomped his foot on the ground. "Nidoking! Move out of the way!" Nidoking couldn't move, however.

"Crobat, Cross Poison!" Crobat struck Nidoking with his wings again and the bulky beast staggered. "Finish up! Acrobatics!" Crobat began to slam into Nidoking from all directions, vanishing and reappearing to strike it.

This blow was finally enough to fell the mighty Nidoking. It fell forward and fainted. I ran over to my friend to congratulate him and Suicune reversed the two Pokémon's corruption.

"That was so cool Silver! You did it!" I said.

Silver began to blush. "I couldn't have done it without you. I wanted to just give up, but I knew you were rooting for me. And just for the record, a battle did make me feel better."

Giovani's breathing intensified. "No! I will control you all!"

Eusine stared at his corrupted hand. "How has the corruption not consumed him entirely?"

"He said he was using MissingTwo's power..." I recalled. "So maybe they're working together?"

"Shut up! I will make you all my tools!" Giovani thrust out his arm and corruption shot forward. This time, Unown countered the corruption with Hidden Power and it fizzled out.

"Unnnnnown!" Unown shouted. Several dozen Unown descended from the sky and spun around the tower together.

Giovani's voice shifted slightly when he saw them all. "No! My enemies! I told you to destroy them!" Giovani looked around at them all and his voice returned to normal. "This can't be your weakness! Unown? I won't let this happen!"

Look out from above! Red's voice echoed throughout my mind and Charizard touched down next to me. Red jumped off and took in the sight.

Blue, Bill, Daisy, Alex, Jess, Lillie, and that lady with the Pikachu all joined us as well. Bill began to scratch his chin. "I heard vaguely about bits and pieces of MissingTwo's corruption lying around. Is that MissingTwo himself though?"

"You!" Giovani shrieked in his different voice. "You thought you were rid of me! But now I will take control of you! I will have my revenge!" Giovani lunged for Red but the Unown surrounding us all fired white beams at Giovani's arm.

So this is what's left of MissingTwo then? Red theorized.

"Not so fast buddy! Go Unown!" He cheered and the attacks increased in intensity.

The light began to die down and Giovani was back to his normal self. He fell forward and passed out.

Finally, we had won.
