Bill fired the flaming ball at Steven who blocked it with his shield.

"Ok, I have an idea." Steven said and he took his shield and hit himself over the head with it.

Bill laughed hysterically. "He already gave up!!"

Meanwhile Steven was entering dipper's mind trying to manipulate his powers to take him to his memories.

Lion clawed at bill but he threw it to the side.

"Lion!" Connie shouted and suddenly she was stopped unable to move.

"Whoa there little girl. I'm going to have to destroy you now." Bill said manically.

"STEVEN HELP!!!!" Connie screamed in fear.

Steven had made his way to dipper's memories and was trying to find the shacktron.

That's when it appeared glowing light blue with strange see through outlines. Steven touched it with his hand after licking it.

"Please work..." Steven mumbled and suddenly he was pulled out of his dream waking up.

The glowing shacktron appeared destroying most of the castle,

"WHAT I DESTROYED YOU!" Bill screamed and he was punched through the castle walls.

Connie was dropped from bill's hold and rushed to Steven giving him a hug. He embraced her laughing and blushing and crying all at the same time.

They suddenly began glowing and fused into Stevonnie.

"Alright!" Stevonnie shouted and she got her sword from lion,

"Woah! This is nuts!" Dipper shouted

"We're so gonna win!" Mabel yelled smiled and Stevonnie ran up to the tapestries jumping up and healing each of them with their healing spit.

"What's going on? Who are they?" Gideon asked

"No time to explain. Start that wheel thing. We'll go get the last two. Who are they? Follow me." Stevonnie said to themselves as they ran off.

"The zodiac is still here? Weird Dipper said standing on the pine tree symbol.

Gideon took the telepathy sign. Robbie took the stitched heart sign. Pacifica, a llama. Mabel, a shooting star. McGucket took the spectacles and Wendy took the ice.

They each held hands and waited for Stevonnie.

Stevonnie raced through the castle cutting down some eyebats.

They turned the corner and saw bill destroy the new shacktron through a window and alexandrite take a chance with him.

Stevonnie found Stan and ford in the top floor standing there... Motionless.

"Time to heal them," they said licked their hands and touching the stans, suddenly they both came out of their trances.

"ARGH WHAT HAPPENED!!!" Stan shouted

"Stanley, quiet." Ford said and he faced Stevonnie.

"Look I know this is weird but come with me, we need to destroy bill once and for all." Stevonnie stated and the Stans shrugged at each other getting onto lion and riding off Stevonnie running after them.

They quickly reached the others and Stan and ford joined the wheel and it began glowing brightly.

"WHATS GOING ON HERE!!!" Bill screamed ripping off the top of his castle.

The gems were all poofed, weak and vulnerable to the monsters that wanted revenge.

"Not again!" Mabel shouted tears in her eyes.

"Sand back bill, this is where it ends." Stevonnie said summoning her shield and stepping in front of the wheel.

"You think YOU can stop ME!!!!" Bill shouted shrinking down and firing off multiple fireballs.

Stevonnie jumped up and threw her shield at bill, hitting his eye. She jumped off a wall and used the motion to slash at bill.

"Rose! Always getting in my way! Well I'm sick of it! I'll shatter you!!!!" Bill screamed

What? Stevonnie thought before they were thrown back into the castle wall and through the wall. The force launched them towards the ground...

In a flash Steven was on the ground unfused, Connie was on the ground, she wasn't moving.

"Oh no," Steven mumbled trying to stand up.

Bill floated down, "wow, you survived rose? I'm surprised.""

"How do you know my mom?" Steven asked

"Mom? You do look kinda weird rose, you even act different and talk different. Mom, did rose really? Well kid I'll tell you," bill started

"Back during the war rose was desperate. She needed to get close to pink diamond. The problem was, where was she going to find out where pink diamond was? That's where I came in. Entering one of her dreams and making a deal with her."

Bills body began displaying a scene like a TV screen.

"So rose, I'll tell you the location of pink diamond and later on you can help me with something." Bill said offering rose his hand

Rose shook it, "it's a deal."

The scene stopped.

"Since rose actually decided to betray me and force me to recoil for a few thousand years looks like you need to fulfill her end of the bargain." Bill said laughing.

"I'll never help you!" Steven yelled summoning his shield.

"Oh kid, you don't want anything to happen to your friend here." Bill said raising Connie into the air.

"Connie!" Steven shouted and his shield vanished. "I'll do what you want..."

"All I want is for you to stay here and be a good boy, while I destroy those kids once and for all!" Bill screeched manically before floating up. Connie fell down and Steven caught her.

He began crying and fell to his knees. "Mom... Please help me..." He said to his gem and suddenly it began glowing.

A giant shield appeared and it fired a blast of light, similar to the canon but much grander.'

The blast curved and slammed into bill, putting a giant hole through him right before he could stop the zodiac from activating.

A pillar of light burst from the zodiac rushing towards the portals me closing it. The weirdness was reversed and bill deconstructed.

Steven fell unconscious seeing Connie wake up.

When Steven woke up he was surrounded by white. He looked around. "What's going on?" He asked

"Steven, I'm so proud of you." Rose said and Steven turned around looking at his mother, her light pink dress and dark pink hair.

"Mom!" Steven said tears in his eyes as he ran over and hugged her.

Rose embraced back smiling. "Steven, I'm so happy to see you,"

"How are you here? What's even going on?" Steven asked exiting the embrace.

"Steven, when you called for my help, I was able to use some of your energy to help you. Right now we're in your subconscious." Rose said smiling.

"So, I can talk to you?" Steven asked excitedly.

"Only on rare occasions. But Steven, you did it, bill is gone." Rose said and suddenly everything started to fade.

Steven was crying, "so... I guess this is goodbye for now..."

"No, Steven. I will always be here for you. I will never leave you. I love you, my son." Rose said smiling

Everything faded out and Steven woke up.

Connie was looking over him and her face lit up when she saw his eyes flutter open.

The entire area was surprisingly normal. They were in the woods and Steven got up moaning.

Mabel and dipper were hugging Stan and ford.

The gems were all reforming, Pearl was still poofed though.

Later in the week lion had reopened the portal home. Pearl was reformed and Steven was saying His goodbyes.

"Well guys, I promise to visit every once and a while." Steven said

"Maybe next year, summer is over for us." Dipper said offering a hand and Steven shook it.

"Hey Steven, good luck with your gem missions." Mabel said and Steven smiled.

"Thanks." He said and he hoped on lion. They rode off into the portal the gems following.

Sometimes, things don't always go as planned. But hey, when you're a gem that discovers new powers every day you can come up with new plans.

When you live a life like mine, you meet new friends every day. Though Steven, he was pretty interesting.

Steven was an awesome friend. He had magical powers and magic friends!

Steven is pretty unique, he has a lot of unexpected tricks.

He helped us save the world.

He helped us out when we needed it.

Well that's all there is about my new friend Steven.
