(Ruby's Pov)

As I text my girlfriend Emerald I feel someone looking at me. I look up to see Sapphire the freak on the school sitting at my table. You can't be serious. I have the loner in my group! This just isn't my day!

"Well Class the purpose of these groups is basically for a band. All of you have great musical talent and I grouped you accordingly. These groups are permanent and will last until the end of the year. You will have time to work on songs in class but you will most likely have to work on some outside of class. You will have to make a minimum of three songs. That is all and you may begin." Ms. Quartz says.

All year! I have to hang around this reject for a whole year!

"Well I think we should start assigning roles. Obviously I'm going to be the singer." Pearl says.

"I don't think so! Your voice sounds like a bird screeching! I think Sapphire should sing." Amethyst says and Sapphire shrinks back in her seat.

"Can you even sing?" I ask and she nods.

"Well then do it. Sing." Pearl says attracting the attention of everyone around us. Pretty soon everyone has their eyes on her. She opens her mouth but all that came out was a squeak.

Everyone laughs at her including me. She runs out with tears falling down her face and Amethyst runs out after her.

"Class! Settle down! That wasn't at all right and you all should be ashamed of yourselves!" Ms. Quartz says and we still giggle. The bells ring and we walk out.

"Ruby! Baby!" Emerald says as she runs up to me. She pecks my cheek and I hug her.

"Hey babe!" I say and she giggles.

"Guess what?" She says.

"What?" I ask.

"We got invited to a Diamond party!" She says excitedly. She's probably going to go even if I say I don't want to go. She'll just sleep with someone else again to make me jealous.

"Really? That's great! What time?" I ask and she looks at her phone.

"It's at 9:00 to whenever you want to leave! This is going to be amazing!" She says and I agree. I peck her lips and we walk to our separate classes.

Second period was a bore as always and I walk to the cafeteria. I sit down at my table next to Emerald. We sit with the Diamonds. Blue, Yellow, and White. Their mother Clear Diamond is the principle hence the instant popularity. I look down at the Pearls side of the table. Yellow haired Pearl, White haired Pearl, and Blue haired Pearl are all gossiping while Pink Pearl comes next to me.

"So how do you feel about that reject being in our group?" She says loud enough for the whole table to hear. This catches the diamonds attention.

"What you're in a group with the loner?!" Blue said.

"Yes it wasn't our choice though. We sent her away crying this morning though." She says and the table starts laughing. I fake a laugh and look at Sapphire's table. She has her head down and she's all alone. I wonder where her friend is.

"You think that was funny? Well what do you think about this?!" There she is. Amethyst grabs Pink Pearl's hair and shoved her face in my potatoes. I was going to eat those but I guess not now.

Pearl looks back up at her and slaps her across the face.

"How dare you!" She screams and Amethyst jumps on her. Amethyst rains down punches in her and Pearl lays there screaming. Amethyst grabs the ketchup and squirts it all over her.

Sapphire runs over to pull of Amethyst while I grab Pearl.

"What's going on here!" Ms. Diamond says. Dang it.

"It's not what it looks like." I say and drop Pearl.

"Don't use that line with me! All of you detention!" She says and walks out of the cafeteria.

I sit back down and Emerald hugs me. This day has been horrible. The bells ring and we go to our classes.

The rest of the day passes quickly and I go to the detention room. I walk in to see Amethyst and Sapphire on one side and Pearl on the other. I sit next to Pearl and put my head down.

I can't wait for this to be over.
