(Pearl's Pov) *Before explosion*

I wake up to the sound of Amethyst's lovely snoring. I sigh.

"Amethyst you're snoring." She snores louder and drool comes down. I move her head away.

'Bang! Bang! Bang!'

Jasper beats on the door she runs in and grabs us. She grabs Amethyst by the hair and drags us out.

"Ow! Hey! Let go of me!" Amethyst yells.

"Shut it pipsqueak!" Jasper says and hold Amethyst in front of her face. Amethyst looks her up and down.

"Who you calling pipsqueak? It looks like you traded in your neck for another chin!" She yells. I cover a giggle. Jasper throws her on the ground.

"Why you little-" she starts until Morgan stops her.

"We have no time for that! Now come on! Throw them in the back and don't forget to handcuff them!" She yells.

"Yeah yeah." Jasper says and she handcuffs us. She pushes in the back with two other gems.

"Hello. I'm Spinel and this is my bestie Aquamarine." Spinel tells us.

"Hi." She says in this soft tone. The poor gem looks scared to death.

"Hi! It's okay we don't bite." I say.

"Much." Amethyst says.

"Amethyst!" I say and she shrugs.

"All I'm saying is that I get hungry fast." She replies.

"You're not going to ea-" Aqua starts.

"No! She won't. She's just joking. Right?"I look at her.

"Yeah kid don't worry." Amethyst says. Jasper comes in the car and sends a death glare at Amethyst. Morgan gets in as well and we leave the area.

"Did you set it?" Jasper asks.

"Yes I set it." Morgan answers. We go farther down the road. I start to get bored so Amethyst and I start a little road game with Spinel and Aquamarine. She says different insults about Jasper and they rate them.

"I've been waiting for this!" Amethyst whispers. She looks right at Jasper.

"I'd take you to an eating contest but it looks like you already won! Twice!" I choke.
Spinel and Aqua look at each other.

"9" They answer.

"She's dark and beautiful! When it's dark she's beautiful!"

"7" They reply.

"If I had a face like yours I'd sue my parents!"

"9" They tell her.

"You're driving the wrong way! The Auditions for 'Free Willy' are that way!" She says.

"9" They say.

I don't want you to turn the other cheek! It's just as ugly!" I let out a small chuckle and cover my mouth.

"10!" They say trying to conceal their laughs. Jasper looks in the back.

"What's going on back there!" She yells.

"Nothing." Amethyst answers her and Jasper goes back to looking at the road.

I high five Amethyst and we snicker a bit.

*Time Skip*
Later at night were still driving down the road when we stop at a gas station. Amethyst and the others were asleep so I pretend to as well. I closed my eyes and listed to Jasper and Morgan's conversation.

"We can't both get out of the car! Someone has to watch these guys!" Morgan says.

"They're asleep! We'll just be a minute!" Jasper says.

"Fine but if they get in the way of me losing my main objective-" She starts.

"You won't. Now calm down baby." Jasper says and I hear a kissing sound. Ew.

"Ok. I'm sorry I've been so cranky lately." She says.

"It's fine." Jasper say ms and I hear the bell on the door of the store ring. They must've left.
I wake the others.

"C'mon this is our chance to escape!" I say. Amethyst crawls out of the car and we follow her. We run into the woods and keep running.

"Hey! Where are they?!" We hear Jasper shout. We run faster.

"They might've went in the woods!" Morgan yells and I hear there footsteps thanks to the crunching leaves.

"Over there! It's a cave!" Aqua says and we run straight for it. We go inside and hide in the shadows. I pant heavily and so do the others.

"They must've gotten farther into the woods. There's no use! Let's just go where we were heading and hide out until the heats down." Jasper says and they go back from where they came.

"There gone." I say and release a sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness." Spinel says and she sits on the cave floor.

"So what now?" Aqua asks.

"We should wait until morning and see if we can find a way home." I say and they nod. They take a sleeping position on the floor and fall asleep quickly.

"Hey P. What you did today was really brave." Amethyst tells me. I blush a little.

"It was nothing." I say and she snorts. We laugh together and fall asleep peacefully for once in a long time.
