(Ruby's Pov)

'This can't be happening! Not again! Morgan can't hurt another person!' I think to myself as I drive my car down the road. I'm not letting her get away with this.

I park my car in Amethyst's driveway and I step out. I go straight up to her door and I knock. She opens the door with a platter full of sandwiches.

"Oh. What do you want?" She says looking at me.

"Can I come in? It's a long story." I ask and she lets me in. The house has trash and random junk everywhere.
I sit on the couch and shudder as I see a piece of pizza sticking out from between the comforters.

"What up?" She asks.

"Morgan. She's not who you think she is! She's-" I stop myself.

"She's what?" Amethyst asks.

"I'll just tell you the story. Four years ago I lived in Crystal city. There I met the most beautiful girl I had ever seen! She was so cute and funny! She acted so nice to me. My friends kept telling me not to trust her. They said that someone that nice has to have an ulterior motive. I wish I would've believed them. She told me that she loved me and I believed her. I lost my virginity at fourteen. After I just layed there and I told her that I loved her and she started laughing. She got up and went to a black book and started writing in it. I asked her what happened and she smirked. She showed me the book and I saw my name written inside. She told me that the book was her big book of conquests that she was starting. It turns out that I was the seventh." I finish my story and Amethyst looks at me.

"We have to tell Sapphire!" She says and I shake my head.

"No! If Morgan finds out she will have something terrible happen to us or Sapphire!" I say.

"What should we do then?" Amethyst asks.

"I tried to stop Sapphire from dating her but she didn't listen! We need to get her away from Morgan somehow!" I say and Amethyst smiles.

"You! Sapphire has or had a crush on you! If we can get Sapphire with you then we don't have to worry about Morgan!" Amethyst says.

"That's a great ide- Wait. What about Emerald? My reputation? My popularity? It would all go down the drain!" I say and Amethyst stares at me with her mouth open.

"Are you serious?! Sapphire could be taken advantage of and you're sitting here whining about your reputation and your relationship with someone that cheats on you more than a literal cheetah would! Get your priorities straight!" She says and that makes me realize that Sapphire is important to me. I do care about her and I'm not going to let her be hurt by Morgan.

"You're right. I shouldn't care about what people think!" I say and Amethyst cheers.

"Woo! Now go get your girl!" She says and I nod. I go out to my car and I speed down the road. I swerve around cars and make it to Sapphire's house in minutes. I step out of my car and I knock repeatedly on the door.

She never answers. I start yelling her name.

"Sapphire!" I tell and I continue until her neighbor throws a flip flop at me. It smacks me in the head.

"Shut up! You're going to wake the whole city!" She ironically yells and slams her window closed.

"Wait. Sapphire is at Morgan's house!" I face palm and get back in my car. I drive back home and open the door. I run straight up to my room after saying hey to my mom.

I pull out my phone and text Sapphire. I flop down on my bed smiling like crazy.

To Sapphire:
I'm so sorry that it took me so long to realize how much I care about you! <3 xoxoxo

From Sapphire:
I'm sorry it took me so long to tell you how much I can't stand you! <3 xoxoxo

My smile instantly drops. That broke my heart. I let my phone fall out of my hand and it falls off my bed. It hits the floor with a 'clink'. I can't believe what I just read. Tears form in my eyes and I put my face in my pillow. I fall asleep quickly.
