(Amethyst's Pov)

I wake up in the middle of the night because a heavenly smell reaches my nose. I raise my head up from my rock pillow and sniff the air.

"Hotdogs? Hotdogs!" I say and I go to the cave entrance. I peek outside and sniff a little more.
I take one step out and then I step back in.

"No. I should stay here like Pearl wants." I say to myself.

"But Hotdogs!" I say out loud. I glance back in the cave to see that Pearl's still sleeping.

'She won't even notice.' I think to my self and I run into the woods. I step over tree roots and move branches out of my way. As the smell gets stronger I start to move faster.

"Mmmm. I can't wait!" I say to myself as I'm practically sprinting through the woods.

I spot a campsite and it seems to be two people on a date. They have a Rv in the back and a small campfire.

"Aww." I say quietly.

They pull off some hotdogs from the grill and I zero in on them.

"Too bad their dates going to be ruined." I whisper and move towards a nearby bush.

One of them puts the hotdogs on a plate and goes to fetch some condiments. The other grabs one and takes a bite out of it. I glare at her.

"Yeah, enjoy it while you can." I whisper and she looks over at me. I'm pretty sure she can't see me because of the bush. I growl and shake a little. She drops the hotdog and runs over to where her girlfriend is. That's when I strike. I run over when her back is turned and grab the hotdogs. I run back the way I came.

"Hey! Get back here!" I hear one of the campers yell. I don't stop running and I eventually leave her in the dust. I walk into the cave to see that everyone is awake.

"Where have you been?" Pearl asks.

"I was getting food." I say she gives me a disappointed look until she sees the plate of hotdogs. She had to get over her diet of only apples when we were kidnapped.

"You're forgiven, now give me a hotdog." She says and I laugh a little. We all sit down and eat. I should've grabbed some ketchup.

"Now that we've eaten we need to think of a plan to get home." Pearl says.

"I don't want to walk!" I complain.

"Well unless you can magically find a car here in the middle of the woods, that's our only option." She tells me and I smirk.

"I have an idea." I say and walk out of the cave. They follow me. I go back to the campsite to see that the couple is sound asleep in sleeping bags. The keys to the Rv are laying on the table.
Perfect.

"Amethyst. I'm not stealing a Rv." Pearl says.

"C'mon! Live a little!" I say and she shakes her head.

"No. It's illegal!" She tells me and I look at her.

"Illegal? We were kidnapped! That's illegal as well! These guys are probably close to home! They'll be fine!" I say and I drag her to the Rv. I grab the keys and push them in her hands.

"Drive." I say. She gulps and unlocks the doors. She sits in the driver's seat and she inserts the key. She takes a deep breath and let's it out. She continues this for at least five minutes until I stop her.

"Oh come on! You're just driving not giving birth!" I say and she glares at me. She turns the key and we're off through the trail. We bump around as we trail along the curvy path.

We reach the highway and Pearl merged with the other cars. We start down the road.

I stand up and go to the refrigerator. I pause as something shiny twinkles in the corner of my eye. I walk over and it's an engagement ring. I pick it up and look at it.

"They might want this back." I say to myself.

"Might want what back?" Pearl asks.

"Nothing! You're hearing things!" I say and she goes back to driving.
