(Ruby's Pov)

It worked the plan actually worked. The plan was to bait Morgan and Jasper out of hiding with a date. It worked perfectly.

"Now!" I yell into my phone and Opal leaps onto Jasper while Sugilite grabs Morgan.

"Let me go!" Morgan yells. I run over and grab the bag from Jasper. I undo the knot and Sapphire comes out. She hugs me and we look at the two. I pull out two pairs of handcuffs from my suit pockets and I snap them on their wrists.

"Let's go guys." I say. Amethyst helps Opal with Jasper and Pearl helps Sugilite with Morgan. We reach the car and we put them in the back. Sugilite and Opal sit in the back with them.

I start the car and we drive off.
Sapphire turns to me.

"Did you plan this?!" She asks and I nod sheepishly.

"You couldn't have told me about the plan?!" She yells.

"I needed it to look real and sorry to say but you're not the best actress." I say.

"You're lucky I love you or else I would've left you by now." Sh says jokingly.

"Oh really? Well then consider me homered." I say and she giggles a little. We head to the police station and we get them out,

"My parents won't stand for this!" Jasper yells.

"They were already arrested for drug possession." I tell her and her jaw drops. We go inside and explain the situation to the officers.

"So these two are the ones that have been committing the kidnappings?" One of them asks and we nod.

"Thank you so much girls for apprehending these dastardly criminals." The officer says and he takes their arms.

"We'll take it from here." He says and he walks off with them. Without checking them.

"Excuse me sir but may I please scratch my ankle?" Morgan asks and the officer allows it. She bends over and scratches her ankle. She takes out a gun from her boot and aims it at Sapphire. Everyone screams as the sound of a gunshot rings through the air.

The sound of a body thumping to the ground hits my ears and I gulp. I feel as Sapphire grips my hand tightly. Wait. Sapphire.

I peek my eyes open and I look down on the floor to see Opal on the ground with one single gunshot wound on her chest.

"Oh my god! Opal!" Pearl and Sapphire yell. Amethyst screams and Sugilite runs over to where Morgan is. She throws her on the ground and beats her with her fists.

"Opal! Opal!" Pearl kept screaming.

"Ma'am! Ma'am we're going to need you to back up!" An officer says and two of them move Sapphire, Pearl, and I away from the body. Amethyst runs over and helps Sugilite beat down Morgan.

I stand in complete shock at what was going on around me.
Sapphire clings to me as a stretcher comes in and they put Opal on.

"Ruby. Ruby. Ruby!" I snap out of my trance and look at Sapphire.

"I was asking if we could go to the hospital with her?" She asked and I nodded. Amethyst, Sugilite, and Pearl all run out of the station with us and we get inside of my car. I cut on the engine and I step on the gas. We speed down the road towards the hospital.

When we reach it we run out of the car and go inside. Pearl runs over to the counter.

"Excuse me." She says but the nurse doesn't answer.

"Excuse me." Pearl asks a little louder but the nurse fails to acknowledge her.

"Yo lady!" Amethyst yells and the nurse looks up at the shocked.

"Excuse you but this is a hospital. I won't have you disturbing the other patients." She say.

"If you don't let us pass, you may be one of those patients." Amethyst says leaning over the counter with a sinister grin.

The nurse gulps and she hits the button to open the doors. We run inside and we see the doctors working on Opal. Sapphire and I sit outside the room on the chairs provided.

Sugilite leans against the wall, looking frustrated. Sapphire puts her head on my chest. I wrap my arm around her shoulders and I hold her close. We listen as Pearl sobs loudly and mumbles incoherently.

"Pearl. Pearl, She's going to be alright." Amethyst tells her. Pearl looks up at her with a glare.

"How do you know?! She's always been there for me and the one time she gets in trouble I can't be there for her! Do you know that feels?! To be so helpless!" She screams at Amethyst. Amethyst bite her lips and looks away.

"Yes. Every day in that cell I felt just like that." Amethyst says and Pearl states at her.

"But I learned to always look for the positive. To smile even when everything is going wrong." She sits down next to Pearl and she grabs her hand.

"You have to trust that everything will be okay. You're right. I can't promise you that everything will work out. But I can at least comfort you if they don't." She says and Pearl gains a little calm. Her sobs turn into heavy breathing and panting.

"Is this the family of an Opal Quartz?" The doctor asks and Pearl steps up. She walks over to the doctor.

"I'm the family of Opal Quartz." She says.
